Important question:
Does The Good Cop counts as part of The Good Televisual Universe with ratings smash hit and PS3 battery drama magnet The Good Doctor?

Jennifer Aniston returning to TV in Apple original series with Reese Witherspoon
Apple has ordered two seasons of a drama about the world of network morning television that will star Aniston and Reese Witherspoon, both of whom will also executive produce.

The project, which received a straight-to-series order (meaning a commitment was made before a pilot was produced), is a big score for Apple, considering the big-name stars involved and the competition it likely faced from other major streaming and cable networks.

The series is described as "an inside look at the lives of the people who help America wake up in the morning," exploring "the unique challenges faced by the women (and men) who carry out this daily televised ritual."

'The Night Manager' Team Reunites For 'The Little Drummer Girl' Miniseries; Florence Pugh To Star, Park Chan-Wook Directing
Following their collaboration on award-winning miniseries The Night Manager, partners The Ink Factory, BBC One and AMC are reteaming for another John le Carré adaptation, The Little Drummer Girl. Florence Pugh has been set to lead the espionage thriller with Korean master Park Chan-wook directing in his TV debut.

Based on the le Carré bestseller, the six-part drama is set in the 1970s as a young, brilliant actress prepares for her ultimate role in the theater of the real, and against the backdrop of rising tensions in the Middle East. The series promises high-stakes international intrigue, love and betrayal.
HOLY SHIT THIS IS EVERYTHING!

I need to write down all these greenlit shows in my Excel document. It's super hard to keep up, which is why I'm incredibly appreciative toward the folks keeping these tv threads going.

Man I need to pay more attention to Canadian TV:
Starring Lauren Lee Smith (The Listener, This Life), FRANKIE DRAKE MYSTERIES (11x60) follows Toronto's only female private detective in the 1920s as she takes on the cases the police don't want or can't handle. Her gender is her biggest advantage – who would ever think a woman could be a detective? She has a knack for solving cases but she's no cop – her brand of justice doesn't always follow the law.

I'm ready!

The commercial is on constantly, haha. She has a motorcycle and a fancy old elevator with the lifted door and punches a guy! And Ernest Hemingway is there!

Could be decent!
I wonder if it'll be like Miss Fischer's Mysteries, where it's basically a 2010s woman living in the past with what amounts to anachronistic views on race, sexuality, and so on. We know that they'll have gender covered at least. lol

I hope this Louis CK crap isn't going to kill off Better Things. Pamela Adlon deserves better things than getting her show cancelled.

I sort of unironically want to watch this, which is more than I can say for most of CBC's offerings lately.
I like Kim's Convenience for what it is. I'm glad the two actors are getting work where they aren't Asian side characters, even if they have to do that accent. lol

I hope this Louis CK crap isn't going to kill off Better Things. Pamela Adlon deserves better things than getting her show cancelled.
He also produced Nataro's show, and she had a weird scene where a guy masturbates in front of a character so...

Louis and Pamela are best friends. It'll be interesting to see what goes down there.

Also baseball can't slow Riverdale but apparently millennials getting sick of watching things with commercials can:

Dammit back to 0.5, oh well. Still hopeful we'll get lots of years with this Riverdale cast and Sabrina.

I'm looking at my Excel document, and is looking to update it, removing stuff that isn't moving forward, do you see anything that needs to be changed?

Some shows were announced today for Disney's upcoming streaming service. A live action Star Wars show is happening:
Disney has closed a deal with director Rian Johnson to develop a new "Star Wars" trilogy, and it is planning a live-action "Star Wars" TV series to air on its entertainment streaming service that is expected to launch by the end of 2019.

Disney chairman-CEO Bob Iger announced the "Star Wars" news during the company's quarterly earnings call. In addition to the "Star Wars" TV series, Disney is working on TV series adaptations of Pixar's "Monsters Inc.," the Disney Channel's "High School Musical" franchise and an original entry from Marvel.

'The Umbrella Academy': Ellen Page To Star In Netflix Series Based On Comic

The Umbrella Academy follows the estranged members of a dysfunctional family of superheroes (The Umbrella Academy) – Luther, Diego, Allison, Vanya, Klaus and Number Five – as they work together to solve their father's mysterious death while coming apart at the seams due to their divergent personalities and abilities.

Page will play Vanya, the black sheep of her dysfunctional family. She's the only one of Reginald Hargreeves' adopted children with no supernatural abilities. A meek and insecure wallflower, Vanya struggles to find her place in the world.

'Good Girls Revolt' TV Series Eyes Season 2 Comeback As Its Relevance Rises

Almost a year after it was canceled by Amazon after one season, feminist period drama Good Girls Revolt may be coming back. I hear Sony Pictures TV Studios, whose TriStar Television division produced the series, is preparing a pitch for a new season that would go out shortly.

While Sony TV is known for going the extra mile on saving its shows, this time Good Girls Revolt is been resurrected by popular demand. The series, which tackles gender equality sexual discrimination in the workplace, emerged as an unlikely poster child in the current crackdown on sexual harassment in Hollywood, which started with the demise of Fox News' Roger Ailes and Bill O'Reilly and switched into high gear with the Harvey Weinstein scandal.

Good Girls Revolt had been canceled by discarded Amazon boss Roy Price. So when he was recently axed in the wake of the Harvey Weinstein exposes over accusations of sexual harassment toward a female producer, Good Girls Revolt started trending on social media. The series' creator, Dana Calvo and stars were interviewed for stories, and a grassroots movement started to revive the show.

The buzz reached TV and streaming networks, and I hear Sony TV started fielding incoming calls, with multiple outlets interested in picking up Good Girls Revolt. I hear that Calvo and the rest of the series' original producing team are on board, and a pitch was put together for a second season, which I hear won't necessarily be a formal second season, picking up where Season 1 left off, but a series in the same setting with the same characters and the same subject matter that would be tailored to the individual network that picks up the show.

Because Good Girls Revolt was canceled so long time ago, the studio doesn't have deals with the cast but they all have been active on social media, tweeting in support of the show and expressing desire to come back, so the actors are expected to rejoin if the show is resurrected.

I hear the networks that will be pitched on Good Girls Revolt will include Amazon, which was the show's original home.

Eh. Pamela chose to keep working with him even though what he did had been an open secret for quite a while. Whatever happens to the show happens.

He also produced Nataro's show, and she had a weird scene where a guy masturbates in front of a character so...

Tig made it very clear that CK had nothing to do with season 2 of One Mississippi. The episode you mention was literally a veiled reference to those very allegations.

I'm looking at my Excel document, and is looking to update it, removing stuff that isn't moving forward, do you see anything that needs to be changed?

Off the top of my head:

The Romanoffs isn't in limbo. (yet) It's actively in development. Ditto Snowpiercer.
Knightfall premieres in early December.
All of the WGN America shows you have listed under Limbo are dead. I'm Dying Up Here aired earlier this year on Showtime.
Xena NBC is dead.

Axe Studios? Are you thinking of A+E studios (makers of History's Knightfall)?
Hmm, probably. I'll remove the "axe studios" entry I listed. And are the shows under WGN America dead because the company is dead? I had Mirror's Edge, Red Sonja and Eternal Sunshine listed but not under WGN, just without a company.

Oh. Well, I have no idea re: Mirror's Edge or Eternal Sunshine. They just announced a Red Sonja movie though, so any possible TV show would probably depend on the success of that.
