I've had something that I've used as furniture in my room for many years now. Even after movig a few times I keep putting it where I sleep and spend a lot of time in. It's basically a chainlink fence used as a small partition. Is this shit toxic to be around is what I barely decided to ask myself.

So how do you search threads in this forum?

In the old forum it was possible but i don't know if this is possible on this forum.

Is there a way to disable the "accidentally touch top of screen on your ipad to scroll past the last several hours of twitter you're trying to catch up on" function?

People who use disposable bic lighters: have you bought one in the last 2-3 weeks and noticed the flame is really extreme/large? Like much more so than usual.

Is there any way to move programs from one PC to another? Got a new desktop and would love to have my old ass version of Photoshop from my old computer on it.

I have Windows 10 installed on my MacBook through Bootcamp, is there some type of "cleaner" program to get rid of junk on it or is it ok just how it is? Im just trying to shrink the size as much as possible.

I'm looking for a list of free for commercial use, pixel art fonts that can display the Japanese hiragana and katakana.

I can only seem to find, like, one.

Why do I feel like my head is quite literally exploding at random? I will be just chilling, or in the middle of doing something, or sometimes even in the middle of a dead sleep; and I will hear an extreme booming sound despite it not actually being there, followed by intense stabbing pain in the sides and back of my head.

Anybody see that band Rainbow Kitten Surprise that played on Colbert this week? I'm not too big a fan of 'em but they're from my town and it was cool to hear they were on national television. Interested to see if anyone here enjoyed their stuff.

There's something called exploding head syndrom that accounts for the noises, but not the sharp pains you're experiencing. Could be migraines? I don't really know. Would be worth speaking to a doctor about though.

The former, like Oreoleo said, is Exploding Head Syndrome. While I very regularly experience EHS, I don't experience the latter of what you're talking about, the closest thing to that, that I do get, is Brain Zaps. Maybe that's what you're talking about but yours is slightly different than the ones I get?

How can I remove files from OneDrive without deleting them from my computer? I thought it worked like Dropbox, but if you delete a file from OneDrive, it's gone for good on the computer. Is there not an option to just "unsync" some files? If there is, I can't find it.
Moving files around just to get them out of OneDrive's claws without deleting them sucks.
edit: the only option in the settings to unsync does the opposite of what I want. It deletes the files on the computer to keep them on OneDrive only. What the fuck were they thinking...

I like doodling. I'd like to share these doodles online.

What is the best way to go about this? Simply take pictures of my drawings? Scan them?

Or should I look into tablets to draw digitally?

How popular are the Witcher novels in Europe, specifically Poland? Are they huge to the point where everyone reads them, or are they more underground than that?

I have two inlaws. One is one of my favorite people, the other is one of my least favorite (and an objectively terrible person). The latter has unreasonably talked shit behind the former's back in front of me on multiple occasions. Should I keep the family peace and be quiet or should I snitch and watch terrible person get pwned?

Whoa, I never heard of that. The way she described it sounded so fucking terrifying. O_O

Is there an easy way to get adblock or similar on an Android phone? I use chrome.

If you root, you can install a system-wide ad blocker (from Fdroid or another non-Google store). If not, you can set up a VPN to a [paid] proxy service, a local proxy (doesn't work over cellular, only wifi), or just use a browser with adblocking support.

How long does it take for energy drinks to kick in? I've never tried an energy drink before, not because of some conscious effort I just never felt the need but I saw some Redbull on sale and decided to try it just to see what effect it had. I drank a can almost two hours ago because I didn't get much sleep but I basically feel just as lethargic as I did before. I did drink about a cup of tea (with milk) pretty much everyday since I was a kid until I stopped about two years ago and have had no real other source of caffeine in my life but there's way I've built a resistance to it right?

Brave browser is basically the same as Chrome on android, except with ad blocking built in. Give it a try.

Thanks for your responses! I'll check it out.

Yes, there is a specific version of CNN for airports that is censored and more family friendly. Turner has a contract for this channel alongside other channels like Cartoon Network and TBS.

I used an Amazon Kindle for the first time today. Watching videos on the YouTube app, there were no ads whatsoever. What's up with that? Does the Kindle app have a built in ad blocker for YouTube?

Was it the official Google YouTube app? (Kindles do not come preloaded with any YouTube app and the official app is not available on the Kindle store.)

Maybe. I don't have the Kindle anymore. (It's my grandfather's.)

Does the Google YouTube app remove ads?

Edit: Looks like Google removed the YouTube app from Amazon's ecosystem at the start of this year. This Kindle I used is over a year old, so the YouTube app is probably the now-unavailable formerly-official one for the Kindle.

Cool that the app still works and has the benefit of having zero ads.

Consistent intake of caffeine will build up a resistance (that's not what it actually is, but you can think of it that way), but there isn't that much caffeine in tea and I would think 2 years is enough to return to normal functions, so I find that really surprising.

As an example, I've known regular coffee drinkers who said energy drinks didn't do much for them. Personally caffeine drinks don't do much for me, but the sugar content and B vitamins in energy drinks do perk me up, so perhaps you already have sufficient vitamins and/or sugar?

I have a question about how to properly write years!

When we write about things in the future, we write it like "In 5-10 years things will /.../".

But, when it comes to past years, I sometimes see the following: "About 80-50 million years ago /.../" instead of "50-80 million years ago".

Does anyone know why the "order" of the years is inverted when it comes to the past? I don't see it with days (e.g. "7-5 days ago"), but I do it with years, particularly when we'e talking millions. I've never HEARD anyone say past years in that order, so why does it occur in writing?

Maybe that's it. It's somewhat comforting to know that I wouldn't get hooked on energy drinks though.
