I didn't think "Cosby Suite" was actually literal. Burn that shit to the ground and find the workers new jobs or something.

Why are these gray faced 45 year old guys talking about partying and cosby suite and drinks and chicks and stuff? Like don't you fucking grow up at some point?

Obviously this behavior is not acceptable at any age, but it's just particularly weird seeing old dudes act like this. Grow the fuck up and better yourself

Just nuke activision/blizzard from orbit. It's the only way to be sure

That's what that name is a reference to? "Tigole Bitties"?! Dear lord...
This is exactly what we mean when we say this shit is embedded at every stage. It's in the art, the story, the quests, the names, the designs.

They're high-fiving each other over the hilarity of juvenile bullshit and then retiring to the Cosby Suite to discuss "hot chixxx" with HR.

Unfortunately, that won't do much good as most companies have big harassment cases. The whole industry needs to work on this. I just can't see that happening while CEOs stay in power making excuses.

The toxic frat boy culture is ingrained and success only makes it worse, so no you don't always grow up, you get away with shit for as long as there's no consequences. Same shit at RIOT games.

Are any of those guys in the picture married? Because if so, I'm hoping their wives file for divorce. Take everything away from these fucks.

Gross as hell. Fuck all of them. And screw Bobby Kotick too. No way in hell he didn't know about this at the very least. That oh so needed bonus he got should be handed over to the victims, for a start.

They are fine with Insomniac and Naughty Dogs accusations. As long as there is no real public pressure nothing will happen.

Did stuff also happen at those studio's?

Blizzard might just be done.

I don't see how it could come back from this.

Unless a lot of the Blizzard content creators turn their back on Blizzard and their games I do believe a lot of people will not know about what is happening at this moment in time. There are some diehard fans there.

Just from the first few links I saw, Jeff Kaplan's name as an Everquest guild leader was "Tigole Bitties", then he kept on being called "Tigole" while he was working on World of Warcraft. There's an infamous forum rant from him:

Good observation on noticing how old they were in 2013 because oh boy, we really were not aware how much of a lie adulthood actually is until the coming (Trump) years.

Or...shit, just look at those who refuse to vaccinate themselves and stay put.

Jup, the CEOs who have been at these companies for decades and have enabled and ignored it have to go, otherwise nothing will change.

"I left Insomniac Games because of how they treat women" Ex-Employee speaks out

Former Naughty Dog Employee Says He Was Fired After Filing Sexual Harassment Complaint

Damn.

I imagine California's Department of Fair Employment and Housing is going to have a field day with all of this information.

Damn. I am surprised there wasn't as much uproar about that. Maybe put it more in the spotlight again?

I'm going to assume the people who keep 'lamenting' this by saying this is like other company boycotts are hoping that's what happens because it's pretty clear this is on a whole other scale from those other companies dirty laundry

What the fuck at some of these tweets. How long till Activision Blizzard launches their bull shit internal investigation "meant to help correct the culture at the work place"?

It's pretty damn insane he didn't go back and delete these old tweets when shit started hitting the fan. Does he think he's untouchable or just dumb?
The thing is, he may honestly not even have remembered the tweets. For these guys... that's just Tuesday. It's absolutely meaningless. It is not memorable or special.

ERA tends to be very selective when it comes to deplatforming studios and publishers.
Ubisoft, CDProjectRed, and Blizzard can go straight to the trash bin because "I never liked their games any ways." "Censure and Deplatform! It's the right thing to do!?

But Sony? Naughty Dog? Insomniac? "No, no, there must be some mistake. We need to be more understanding. Those are different issues. Crunch was voluntary. Insomniac has such a strong production pipeline though. No one pushes narrative boundaries like Naughty Dog though. Sony donated to BLM causes! They've probably already dealt with the issues."

Et al.

Two and a Half Men was the most popular show for a time, getting drunk & chasing 20 year old girls in your 40's has been "cool" for a while.

People are getting so hung up on the Cosby timeline part when the intent was clearly to invite women to the suite and get them drunk.

You misunderstand. The fact that some of us aren't aware of the Cosby thing, but these guys were all in just shows you how in tune they are with rape culture. No, I don't know about Cosby's allegations back in 2013 and didn't know until today. To me, this speaks volumes about what kind of people they are. These guys are rapists and proud of it. This isn't some comment about how nobody knew, more like, they knew better than anyone and still did what they did.

Also, Blizzard will be fine. People will buy COD, WoW Expansions, play Overwatch, etc. That said, I want people involved in this to be in jail. That will also never happen. So unless gamers can back it up by mass boycott, they'll be fine. The law will protect the rich and powerful.

Eh I posted these topics on the PS5 sales topic. Even if it has been a year ago. This has to get some eyes on it.

My favorite excuse has been "what the staff over at Blizzard did was way worse" as if ERA members are the arbiters of what amount of sexual harassment is bad and what amount can be forgiven or swept under the rug.

Welp. At the very least, everyone in that photo that is still employed with the company needs to go.

Do I have hope for anything more substantial beyond that? Unfortunately, no.

Yep. They knew and it was funny and they held him up as a hero.

That's not about sweaters.

This is more of what I was trying to say.

I don't think for a second it's actually about the sweater, but seeing the conversation be about Cosby is frustrating.

They should either ban them all or just keep doing nothing until it blows over. There's still plenty of games left to discuss without Ubi, CDPR, Blizzard, Naughty Dog, Insomniac and other garbage companies.
