I'm just disappointed that now we have to ignore all the clickbaity thumbnails and fake trailers that people make
Why does this look like it was shot in some random back alleys in SF.

This looks dire. And it's completely believable that the full on Venom parts are from the last part of the movie.
Keep in mind... Sony's trailer style is consistently to show the entire film more or less sequentially in two and a half minutes... and this doesn't seem any different.

so is this part of the MCU in the same way the Netflix shows are? So far detached that they may as well not be.

This looks so bad. The kind of superhero film I would be excited for in the 90's and early 2000's.
Have a good feeling Topher Grace Venom will have more screentime than Hardy Venom in this film.
