I didn't expect Zlatan to be able to tolerate a tactically incompetent coach like Sigi for long...

Arena?
Wenger?
Porter?
Klinsmann?
Kinnear promotion?
Zlatan player-coach?
What's Robbie Keane up to these days?
Marc Dos Santos to go from LAFC to coaching the Dos Santos brothers?
It won't be Klinsmann, especially if they want a tactical coach. Wenger would be hilarious if only for the return of "Wenger Out" signs.

I really want to see Klinsmann coach in MLS. Because I don't like the guy and think he'd be mediocre at best. Klinsmann to Chicago, Arena to DC. Let's see how arrogant they are after coaching for a few years in those markets...

Celebrate Valentine's Day with #SoccerGrams

Atlanta Journal-Constitution:
Martinez unhappy with MLS Valentine's Day soccergram

Josef:
"That was a photo that we were just joking around and they never told me it was going to go out," Martinez said through a translator on Tuesday. "I'm not taking it seriously." But it seems like he was. Martinez continued his answer to a question asked if he liked the final product by telling the translator to either say it or he would say it: "The next one, if it's a photo like that, it will be without clothes."

MLS:
"Internal miscommunication resulted in the posting of the image. It was taken down soon after Atlanta United made the request. Josef is a rising star whose enthusiasm and cooperation at league initiatives is greatly appreciated. We apologize to Josef for this issue."

We've got ourselves a rare MLS meme!

Bobby Warshaw, March 8 2018:
San Jose Earthquakes are MLS's most innovative offense
"In 2018, however, under new head coach Mikael Stahre, we are seeing a new San Jose team. Instead of the straightforward approach of old, the best word to describe them appears to be innovative. The Quakes were the most interesting tactical team in Week 1.
...
The Quakes want the same thing everyone else does in the attacking third, but in going about it a different way, they gain an advantage. Innovation can be powerful. And interesting to watch."

Bobby Warshaw, April 22 2018:
The Lions keep roaring, and all the Saturday action (starts at 8:40)
"I would have always been surprised if it clicked right away for this San Jose team. When you have a new coach who talks the way Mikael Stahre does about really implementing a style and a philosophy, and really a culture change. I mean this was a San Jose organization that played soccer a certain way, and now all of a sudden they're trying to pass, they're trying to play, they're trying to build out of the back. That was never going to come quickly."

So by the transitive property (RBNY > POR, POR > NYCFC) RBNY can expect to completely murder NYCFC in their next game.

Got my LAFC vs BVB friendly tickets for MAy 22. 70 bucks a pop for third row. There were still some 20 dollar seats in the supporters section a few hours ago.

Ready to welcome back the prodigal son.

NYRB seems rather high on that list for a franchise that seems content to play in a mostly empty stadium. I am shocked by the lack of marketing, promotions and other efforts to try and get people to come out to see the team.

Yeah but NYRB are doing pretty much everything else right aside from the attendance and marketing issues. Hopefully attendance will improve with the new station and nearby construction.

I love the spin from the Union on the how much do you spend on DPs question, it's painfully obvious they only use Garberbucks to play those salaries and not their own money.

Hurry up MLS and finish expansion so Sugarman can sell to someone who will actually care about winning.

That's the thing, attendance is all there's left to complain about and it's not even that bad. Advertising could be better, maybe play up all the local guys a bit, but they'll figure it out.

Basically, they'll like us when we win.

Also I'm not sure how anyone can complain about NYRB being 13th when DC United are 11th.
DC finally building their stadium is pretty much the only ambitious thing the team has done in a decade. That may change with new ownership but that sale hasn't happened yet. As of now they're still coached by Ben Olsen, who has been involved in 3 of the worst seasons in MLS history.

I've been disappointed in the lack of minutes Carleton has gotten, but our academy isn't very old.

Minnesota hasn't spent on dick to this point.

I hate this team so much.

Also the dumpster thing was so great, I mean the PR team is only doing what they are told, but the business side has to know how stupid this will come off. I guess they are really desperate for that sponsorship money.

Good luck to TFC tonight. The odds are long, but hopefully they can at least make things interesting.
