I feel you on that, you could pretty much see Cumberbatch reading his lines in Strange. But in IW that is the Strange I imagined would be on screen
I liked his scene in Ragnarok. I still don't think they've went in as much as they should with the magic stuff. Should be a lot crazier.
I sincerely hope that Hemsworth keeps on going into Phase 4. He's gone to the top of my favorites list over the last few films.
Yeah hopefully we get something cool with the sequel. More dimension hopping, bring in monsters and demons. I want to see pages from Aaron and Bachalos run brought to life.
I always liked Waid's Strange, his strange was "This weird shit? I do this on a slow day" and was kind of a asshole but not in a bad way.
I think Strange was the star of the movie tbh
like the way Panther stood out in Civil War by just having that really unique style and a bunch of great action scenes, that was Strange in Infinity War.

I was gonna wait for a true IMAX showing for my second time but I'm DYING to see it again right now, might sneak off to my local theater and just catch it again by myself...

Just got back Holy shit marvel really fucking did it. Thanos was amazing, my heart is still racing, like I can't even eat.

Derrickson is on Great terms with marvel and he's already talked about a sequel. He ain't leaving.
Derickson will be fine since he's freed from the constraints of the origin story and having to explain or make sense of anything. Dr. Strange is now beyond that meager shit and audiences clearly love the spectacle and Strange's interactions with the others. So I expect the sequel to go all out, especially with Baron Mordo hopefully being the villain he was set up to be from the 1st. Very underrated performance for him in Strange 1. It was as much his origin story too, as he transitions from faithful servant to "rules maketh man" shit. He could be the next best Marvel villain since he was already set up. Or he could end up like a Klaw. I'm hoping he trends more Loki though, except of course in reverse with fewer alliance shifts.

This showing, the people didn't react as much to some things, reacted more to others, and you could still hear a pin drop during the final minutes.

Feige has balls of steel. Marvel Studios in general execute the vision of their movies with incredible confidence.

He deserves to be paid RDJ money. Man he deserves an Oscar of some kind.
My two opening night viewings, the theater erupted, me included. I figured tonight's response would be relatively muted, but it was literally just a bunch of "....huh?" with a few acknowledgements peppered in.
Gotta say, my third time out, I'm still all in on this being the undisputed best film.
I thought he might've said that or something that sounded like "client", but that didn't make any sense to me. Hmm.
The audience at my second viewing was boring and dead silent. No cheers, no clapping, just nothing. There were some laughs here and there. Glad I got the first experience with all the cheers.
And yup, Thanos best villain. Infinity War best film.

There's this dude next to me who was audibly reacting to everything. Saying "yes!" And doing like this fist bump when spider-man/GotG showed up, reacting to punching with an "ooh!" That sort of thing.
I hate this man, and even he was dead-ass silent during the final five/ten minutes. Not a single sound.
It's the guy from Winter Solider and Age of Ultron that was on the helicarrier.
