New Post is so boring and corny like his persona; Stoney was a fluke but I still really love that album. Big Lie, I Fall Apart, Cold... hell De Ja Vu, No Option, etc. all dope.

I wonder what his response will be to Kelis' statements.

I'm thinking either the album gets delayed and he tries to solve that somehow or even put it in there, or he hopes it gets ignored, but I wouldn't think so. Plus with all the Kanye antics it risks overshadowing the album by then.

Today I stumbled on this and thought this is what a production by Kanye will be like (the first part before it goes 100% techno):

I'd seriously think Nas would be in all the clubs if this happened, even if this isn't the kind of production he should have. Nas is one of the only big names who can still be rap about the real shit, but nowadays if you don't have some beat that can be played out of the hiphop scene it's not getting played.

There's so much potential though, Nas is like what Kanye would wish he could rap like. Both together could be killer.

Kickmaster Kim , I got to see "Sorry To Bother You", and its good. It's certainly one of the most unique films released this year. I don't want to spoil you on it, and I fully expect assholes will spread spoilers since its on a college tour right now. If you manage to avoid them, you'll find a really good movie that never wants to be predictable.

If Nas wanted to get on these types of beats, he would. Guys like Pusha T have been featured on EDM artists albums for at least the last 4 years now and I honestly don't know how many new fans he has because of it. I honestly feel like the only reason there's any crossover potential at all is the drug references.

I'm not straight up saying it should be EDM, but Nas' lyrics on off-hiphop beats has potential to reach far, not that it has to since I'm mainly into 90s/early 2000 hip-hop for the most part. But commercially, there's essentially a demand for lyrics from what I would consider real hip-hop, but with beats that don't give all the room to the lyrics. It's how Tupac and especially Biggie became such icons. Heck even DMX benefited from that, Party Up plays at hockey arenas.

Yea, I suppose it's somewhat known that Nas doesn't always have the catchiest or trendiest production. I can't remember the last time I actually heard him on the radio or even a mashup of a nas song at a show. Compare that to someone like Kendrick who basically has a trap remix of a song in every single DJ playing trap/future bass music.

the making of some garbage song, inane ramblings on top of it

hopefully new Ye album doesn't suffer too much from his nonsense rants and gives us more god-level samples and features like "FML"

This Post album is kind of generic pop (those generic riffs on Stay especially lmao) but that's why it's going to be a massive hit.

Pop is also kind of the wave I'm on ATM so TBF the only songs I'm not really feeling are Better Now, Ball For Me, Otherside, Stay, and Sugar Wraith. The rest are okay-even-if-generic to great (rockstar, Blame It On Me, Same Bitches, 92 Explorer, Candy Paint). I guess I can't say it's great because it does have stinkers, but the first half is solid, as Paranoid to Psycho is a pretty good run, and the second half has good songs peppered throughout too. It's about the same as Stoney or maybe a bit better in terms of just good-to-bad songs ratio, but the highs on Stoney are SO much higher. Also, G-Eazy actually has the best feature on the entire thing which is weird?

Oh God, y'all are gonna take some rambling nonsense from that interview and proclaim it some genius excuse for Kanye's antics aren't you?

Either that or armchair diagnose him with bipolar excuse disorder.

Ye interview is really good (about 1/3 way in) but I feel like it's not gonna matter because people are gonna post hot takes based on motivated cognitions about Ye anyways.

I think it's great contextual information about all the positivity tweeting and the Trump stuff (starting this bit now) all at once.

cross posting

he's much less confident in himself now than he has ever been

that's the difference between him now and pre-Yeezus

even during his Yeezus interviews you could tell he was wavering, he's lost right now and I honestly don't think he will ever find himself again

especially since he just chooses to accept "FREE THOUGHT"

and even as hard as it is to believe, he used to be much more well spoken. Some of his interviews during the Graduation era, while still an amalgamation of different thoughts and him jumping from idea to idea were much more well put together. Now he just sounds senile.

He needs to step away either for good or for a really long time and focus on his mental health. Until he does that or apologizes for how wrongly he used and continues to use his platform, fuck him.
