[Jeuxvideo.com Rumor] NieR: Automata is coming to Xbox One?

NieR: Automata is coming to Xbox One, that's according to an anonymous source who revealed this new version of NieR: Automata to the french site Jeuxvideo.com.

Jeuxvideo contacted Square Enix for more details but the japanese publisher didn't confirm or deny this rumour.

I saw the article earlier and thought about posting it here but he says he has one (1) "internal source". Take it with a grain of salt, of course, but the author Epyon (really nice guy) seems confident and stand by his article:

Sometimes, they ask to not publish it and, sometimes, I am allowed to by said people. Most of them don't end up on the website because impossible to verify.

If, today, there is an article it is because I trust my source and i did all due diligences allowing me to believe them.

Not a port-beg in saying this, but I think it would sell better on Switch port-wise - more of an audience for it.

Spencer's talks must be vaguely paying off then.

Either way that would be swell! Plus it would finally give the people who want 2B in SCVI an actual ground to stand on since she would no longer be PS4/PC exclusive.

Can't really see the general Xbox One fanbase buying a game like Nier Automata in any great numbers, certainly not to justify the costs of a port. I certainly welcome more exposure to this fantastic game if it does though!

A relatively low budget and very Japanese game releasing a year late on Xbox One after being available on PS4 and PC? I'll be surprised if it sells more than 100,000 copies.

If it was Gamekult, yeah sure, but jv.com ? Nah.
Good for XBX players if I'm wrong, the game is amazing and needs to be played by even more people.

It still baffles me how they still haven't patched the pc version.
I mean if the game bombed it would be a little more understandable (still wouldn't be right) but the game is critically acclaimed and sold well!

Jeuxvideo.com is the biggest video game website in France, followed by Gameblog and Gamekult.

However, I don't remember any rumors coming from them. Most of time, it's coming from English website and then they are reporting it

Don't get me wrong, I'd be *really* happy if this is coming to Xbox One.
But for goodness sake, don't put it on the E3 stage.
Xbox needs more *exclusive* games not news of "Yay that game from PS4 and PC is now coming to us too!"

I've played through and platinumed Nier Automata on PS4 so wouldn't play it again personally but getting this out to more people and giving more sales to the team can only be a good thing. The game is amazing. Xbox One only owners - cross your fingers!

Why not? They've said in the past if it does well they'd like to bring it to more platforms.

They'd be best served doing some sort of gold edition with extras and doing a run on all the platforms though.

It also looks bad. One of their big stage announcements would be a year old port of a game that's on ps4 and steam? Ehhhhh, it comes off as low rent. Announce it at e3, even mention on stage in a general "we are getting more Japanese support" section. But don't give it its own section
