Oh wait, he already declined his minor league assignment. Forgot he had been in the league that long.

So he is a FA now. Welcome to the Reds Bullpen Harvey!
Isn't he just outright released after waivers if he refused to go to the minors?
yeah seems like he already passed through waivers and refused his minor league job, making him a Free Agent.

Mets likely have 10 days to work out a trade and if they cannot he will become a free-agent.

One way or another he's gone. Good riddance.

Matt Harvey is a piece of garbage with a loser's attitude. Good luck thinking any other pro club is going to be willing to put up with your bullshit.

The guy was out partying in LA the night before a day game in San Diego while the rest of the team was chilling in the Gaslamp.

Oh great, the Padres will pick him up won't they.

It sucks to see Harvey's Met career end like this, yeah his attitude was shitty at times but still. There's no doubt in my mind he would have been an all time great if he stayed healthy.

Turns out the Dark Knight nickname was prescient.

Does this mean Harvey will make a comeback eight years from now after a debilitating back injury and retire into the sunset?

What a fast fall. Doesn't feel like it was that long ago when he pitched in the WS.

I doubt he rebounds. I haven't paid too much attention to him but it sounds like he doesn't care too much anymore.

Gotta feel for Harvey after enduring Tommy John and, then, thoracic outlet syndrome. His attitude seems to be too much at times, but still wouldn't mind seeing him rebound. Thoracic outlet syndrome seems so spotty with Chris Young having success in '14-'15 and, then, didn't do well in '16-'17 and Hochevar still hasn't recovered from his procedure back in 2016.

I honestly thought that this year was going to be a bounce back year for Harvey because it's his walk year for one and I felt that would have incentivized him to have a solid year and get that payday he's yearned for, for years.

I too think he lost his confidence, his mechanics have been out of whack, double clutching the ball in his mitt before delivering to home, not getting on top of the fastball and it riding high, his slider not having any bite on it whatsoever. Even with all his off the field antics and his diva persona, I thought this year he was going to bounce back.

As someone who was a fan of his and his competitive nature on the field and willingness to protect his teammates it's sad to see it end like this.

He's going to get picked up by the Cardinals and dominate everybody. Devil magic runs deep.

To be honest I wouldn't mind the Dodgers giving him a go after all these injuries.

I imagine a team could just take a flyer on Harvey and if it doesn't work out, oh well you tried. I'm guessing he could be had for pennies on the dollar.

Does a change of scenery help a guy like Harvey, or is he completely lost?

Hi. Been with this forum and it's predecessor since 2011. Never considered looking for a MLB thread.

I usually only post in the main forum and also the FFRK hangout.

But, this looks pretty active in here.

Do we have lots of Braves fan? I"m from the Dale Murphy era, and man is it exciting to watch Braves baseball these days.

I sure hope Albies isn't on something with this huge up-shoot in power.

Another Braves Fan! Yes, we have a sizeable group here.

But I must ask, Mustard or Ketchup on a Hotdog?

Suddenly I feel pressured. It's tough being the new guy.

But I have to have my hot dogs a certain way. I put mayo on both sides of the bread/bun, place the hot dog in there, then do a zig-zag with ketchup on top. Also I prefer cheese-filled dogs..
