Liked where the plot went, but this was another episode that felt a bit "off" to me this season. Similar to their (failed IMO) attempt at "film noir" earlier in the season, they had the characters acting extra goofy in a way that didn't click with me. The Gabriel / Rowena stuff was corny to me, Sam acting all corny when they got to the alternate universe, etc.

Fans that wanted Wayward Sisters should consider tweeting and messenging the CW and others affiliated with Wayward Sisters telling them that you want this show to happen.

There has to be plot reasons to this. Heaven dying, having contact not with 1 but 2 archangels after such a long time, potentially 3 if you throw michael into the mix, AU hopping, something is wrong with the universe and its showing through the characters. Like I dunno if I'm the only one realizing it, but there are gonna be 3 archangels on screen in an episode or two, unless Alt-Raphael shows up too somehow. They fucked up royally I do believe.

We have two broken universes. One failed to prevent the end of days and the other to maintain heaven. I imagine their solutions will come from the same place: Jack.

That's the only logical place the plot can go towards, yeah. But I wonder if a Nephellim is powerful enough to somehow merge the universes, or get the angels of Apocalypse World back to the main universe. And even then, Lucy has his hands on Jack, there is the fact of killing Alt-Michael, and the cost of leaving this alt-world completely uprotected, even if the Angels are complete dickbags. Its actually quite refreshing to have an obvious plot in from of you, with no real solution or a clean break for a change. Like, since S6 or so, you could tell where the plot is going, but it was also obvious the brothers would fuck it up, somehow. Here though, its out of their hands. The only real time this happened was Season 8 with the Angel Exile, and Season 11 with God and Amarra.

I dunno. I half expect this season to end with Gabe taking Jack under his wing. Of all the arc angels, shockingly, he seems by far the most capable. He managed to outsmart Lucifer after all.

Yeah I said to my wife after Sam all got corny in the alternate universe "something is up, something off about the universe", but I also think it could just be them playing around with being goofier, which they've definitely done.

Sam almost acted like he was under a spell; in the end I hope it's plot related. It's subtle but noticable; could be Michale's doing, that weird scene with alt-Kevin wasn't fully explained for instance.

I think the key to understanding his behavior or at least a hint to his behavior being unnatural is the mines. You go from happy go luck Sam to a Sam that sacrifices himself in a snap of a finger.

I thought the latest episode was solid. Not a great episode but it was a solid one. Lucifer is always fun, I did like the whole "go on an adventure" vibe for the episode. The Rowena/Gabriele scene was dumb but funny as intended. The episode at least had a few good scenes in. 8/10 from me I think.

I have not been a big fan of this season. Mainly because the apocalypse world stuff I have found very boring. Really hope this season completely wraps up everything dealing with the Apocalypse world and Michael and maybe goes in an entirely new direction for season 14. We all know the theories about what character Dean may be taking on next season. I really hope the "most guessed choice" is the wrong one.

I also miss the simpler hunting episodes. There has been very few this season and even most of those have tied into the main plot in some fashion or another. The season hasn't been a complete lost or anything but I have not really been feeling the whole alt apocalypse storyline. I think because it has dragged on for so long with so little actually happening.

With two more episodes left for the show, what are some of your guys hopes for the remaining two episodes? What did you guys like and dislike about this season so far and what are your hopes for season 14? Any remaining theories on where they are taking the story going into season 14?

Speaking of dean. My theory is that the completely new archtype is not Dean as Death, that's not new in their context. Since we have already seen Demon Dean, I guess it won't be Angel Dean either. My best guess based on those two facts is way simpler. Multiverse Guardian Dean. We still have that dreamwalker girl walking around the worlds, so what if killing her makes you the next one?

That was all stuff set up for the Wayward Spinoff series and was not meant to be further addressed on Supernatural. That being said, if Wayward Sisters does get passed up by the CW they could address these plots in the main show. I just don't see this having anything to do with Dean. The only real hints we have is the season finale ending, "Let the Good Times Roll" which is a 1946 song which is also in line with Dean's 1946 clothing.

Here is a leaked video of Dean in the season finale in the new roll (obvious spoilers):

It reminds me of this past video of
Death's introduction:

Maybe they remembered that angels can time travel so Dean is stuck a few years in the past and go the "sam with a dog" way

edit: or they trow mary back to the exact place after the yellow eyed demon "kills" her and the begining of the season is if everyone grew up as a family of hunters. I can totally see Dean being the most different one without the world in his shoulders

That was absolutely insane. I kept thinking they were going to slaughter everyone either at the very end or int he bunker.

They... have to go back on this right? Are they seriously going to let Bobby and Charlie stay in this world?

... And I really hope that was some sort of fake out and Gabe isn't really dead again. Awesome episode but it sucks if they brought him back just to kill him again so quickly.

I definitely think Bobby goes back. But I could see Charlie possibly staying.

I thought Gabe was still alive too; maybe some shenanigans will lead to his return, but it's doubtful. I did love Lucifer's joke about the handcuffs though.

Why the fuck would they kill Gabe again.

Sigh.

Sam agreeing with his mom, and Dean assuming Sam was gonna agree with him and goes "Wait what?" lol that was perfect.

Evil Castiel whaaat? What are the chances that in Apocalypse world Jimmy is Castiel's Vessel? I guess Sam & Dean had a hell of an effect on Castiel if this is how Castiel becomes without em.

Lucifer shedding tears? I feel empathetic to him now, like damn. Lucifer has changes considerably. Makes you think perhaps Lucifer wasn't all that bad(before being locked in the cage, all he dead was tempt humans...then he got angry and lashed out more). Also Lucifer being all dadlike is so hilarious. He is actually trying and it's pretty cool, nice character development for Lucifer imo.

I saw that bus earlier and immediately though they should drive it lol, I sorta thought they'd drive it into the bunker but knew that'd be impractical heh.

Sort of figured Michael was gonna show up and try to get through the portal.

WE JUST GOT GABRIEL BACK NO NO NO! Goddammit Supernatural you shits I will never forgive you.

SAM BETRAYING LUCIFER! NO! WHAT! SAM WTFFFFFFFFF! He was a changed man :(.

So uh...how will the open the portal again if Lucifer is in Apocalypse world and Gabriel is dead? Did Gabe fake his death again?

Trailer for the season finale shows...
Michael bleeding out of hus eyes and a scene with Dean doing a flying jump toward Lucifer. Sam and Jack watching. I am beginning to think Dean is in fact Michael. I just have no idea of what events lead to this happening.

Also the same trenchcoat Michael is wearing in episode 13x22 appears to be the same one Dean is wearing in the leaked 12x23 images of his new character.

Could be a ruse but it's looking confirmed now... anyone else have any other theories?

Oh fuck this episode proper. Good scenes between the Angel Bros, Jack learns about his family, but the Gabe Death(no way around it now, his wings are burned unlike the original death) and everyone's bad acting just irk me to no end. If they somehow go back to Season 5 but this time with Vessel Dean as the plot and not Vessel Sam, I won't be happy at all.

I'm pretty sure his wings were burnt in S5 as well.

Isn't heaven hosed now? They needed an Archangel to help run it they said.

That makes absolutely no sense on any level.

They built up to a two-part spin-off episode for half a season, it received great feedback from fans. Supernatural itself is one of the most consistent performers The CW has had in its history and a built-in fanbase.

What.
