Been checking on Best Buy's website every day... I guess they're not going to stock in stores for a while. Will have to settle for shipping unfortunately.

tbh outside of needing to be home to receive it (you can pick the delivery date) online orders/shipping is actually easier for most people. especially if you don't have a big car. if you need to do a return, they just schedule a pickup and someone just drops by to take the set back.

also less chance of the store blaming you for a broken set if you opt to return it in store.

Anyone have this tv, in the preview program, and can get 4k and hdr. Just got the 65" and i cannot get it to recognize 4k. Not sure if its being in an alpha build or something else.

do you have the roku tv settings set to use hdmi 2.0?

Just get it shipped to store, took mine 2 days to arrive.
I had no idea you could do that. Thank you.

EDIT: Never mind, I don't see that option at check out.

Unless I guarantee delivery on the weekend, I much rather pick it up. There's a store 10 minutes away from me, so I don't have a problem with that at all.

Did you go into the input settings on the tv and change HDMI mode from automatic to 2.0? Also, are you definitely using a 2.0 hdmi cable?
I did. I finally got it working last night. As it turns out, using long length cables with X1X, an Onkyo receiver, and this TV at 4k60hz causes handshaking issues. I was using a brand new 15 foot HDMI cord. Tried the 6 footer that came with system and it worked. It's weird, but at least im good to go. Gorgeous picture on this tv.

I opted to have mine shipped to home and it let me pick the day of delivery which was super convenient. Actually got it shipped home for free quicker than picking up in the store.

I'm never getting a large TV shipped to my home ever again. The last one came shattered. Rather just do store pick up and bring it home myself then trust a delivery guy to safely deliver a 65 inch TV.

The 605 is the best tv I've ever owned. It was final,y the TV to replace my 2008 Sony. Had I not just bought it in October I would buy this in a heartbeat.

Cannot speak highly enough of these TVs. I can literally find no reasonable argument for spending more on the same size TVs.

Quantum Apotheosis put up a video that shows the led on white scenes. I hope that's a rare defect.

AVS Forums were insisting me to stay away from him, as he considers the Sony 900E to be the greatest TV available. He even thinks OLED is trash. His 6 videos about the TCL 6 definitely show a needless amount of hate for the brand. Regardless, it doesn't deny the fact that he obviously got a defected TV.

Yea his uniformity is awful. Even when I'm displaying an entirely white screen and specifically looking for it, it's not even half as bad as it shows on his video.

Not great for me, but it's acceptable. The TV does so many things right it has to have some negatives.

From 'quake area to big OH.
I've always had a cautious level of doubt with his videos and analysis. Just like every but of tech, there will be some duds.

Also, he recommends having soap opera effect on at all times..

Is it worth it for sports as well as 4k hdr gaming? I'm going to miss 120hz...

I'm torn between this or just blow the money on a C7/8

The Bestbuys in my area seem to be getting more stock. I ordered the 65" last night and it will be ready for store pickup on 5/10. The option to have it shipped to my home had the same date available. All ten or so stores in my area had it available on the 11th or sooner when previously nothing showed available until the end of May.

Cancelled my Amazon order which I put in on the 26th and was supposed to arrive on the 10th, but got pushed back to the 24th.

I am absolutely shocked at how good this TV is. I just got it this morning and I'm still floored by the image quality I'm getting at this price point. Substantial jump in quality over last year. My only complaint are the legs. They're too wide for my stand.

VERY good. Just to give you an idea, I have an LG B6 I've been playing on and I think this TV looks magnificent.
Nice! I obviously wouldn't replace the LG with this budget TV but maybe replace the hisense I have in my bedroom. That one was dirt cheap and is actually a good TV for gaming but doesn't have hdr10

That's exactly what I did, I bought it for my bedroom. I'm playing God of War on it right now (Pro) and it looks eye meltingly gorgeous.

Sure, so I bought a P605 in the fall for my parents living room. They had a 10 year old Sony and I like to play whenever I go visit them, so I bought it since it was cheap, displayed 4K, and had HDR. Needless to say, I was impressed by the image quality at the price point.

This, however, seems like it's on a whole another level. The colors seem to be much richer and the TV seems to get noticeably brighter than last year's model, which was my main complaint when displaying HDR.

The image no longer looks cheap. It just looks very good all around. I would dare say it looks like a premium image. I've been playing God of War on the P605, LG B6, and this, and I'm blown away by good how it looks. My only complaint are the legs since they make the TV much wider.

If it's the 65", you can invert them and it works great. My TV stand wasnt wide enough for normal leg position either.

I was watching a YouTube video on the TV and you can invert the legs and the stand still works fine.

HDR gaming is incredible on this thing, it's the HDR/DV videos where I feel like I need to tweak something. HDR dark is too dark and HDR normal is too bright sometimes.

GTA5 in 4K is some next level shit. The game that keeps on giving!

Hey, guys. Could someone with the 65" confirm you get the same results with x1x. Local contrast at high. Contrast at 100%. Does the top right eye fade at the top and the side vertical grey steps have a swoop of fading in the upper whites on the outsides like mine does. It goes away when i shut local contrast to low or off.

Oof. Got a three week wait on Amazon and no Best buys within 250 miles of Chicago have any 65". Is there any chance Amazon might ship sooner than the expected delivery date (26th)?

I know an LG OLED is much better, but is it 3 times the price better?
I have a TCL 55" P607. It is what I now use in my bedroom.
I replaced it with an LG B7 55".
There is a pretty big difference yes.
So I would really say it all comes down to how much that extra money will matter for other things in your life.
Like if you pick up; the OLED, are you going to have to really watch your spending for the next few months?
If so, it may not be worth it.
If it is not going to totally break your wallet so to speak, then yes, I would suggest spending the extra cash for the OLED.
With the above said, I will also say I am still impressed with the P607 image, especially when playing games, and especially for the price.

So looks like the 65 inch was available to pick up yesterday for me and I didn't see the email until now! Dammit!!! Could've been playing with it all weekend. Check your pick status for those that ordered 65inch from BB. Might be available now.

What options do I have if the 65" won't fit on my TV stand? I don't want to mount it. I heard there's 3rd party stands that mount to the back of the TV. Any good options?

So can someone who has owned the P 605 or 607 and now on this tell me if it is worth the upgrade for me to move my 605 to a bedroom and make this my new gaming TV?

Or is it maybe a minor upgrade from that?

wait for the rtings review. anecdotally you'll probably have people tell you it's a big upgrade, but it sounds like it's a bunch of smaller upgrades all around.
