Been checking on Best Buy's website every day... I guess they're not going to stock in stores for a while. Will have to settle for shipping unfortunately.

Anyone have this tv, in the preview program, and can get 4k and hdr. Just got the 65" and i cannot get it to recognize 4k. Not sure if its being in an alpha build or something else.
tbh outside of needing to be home to receive it (you can pick the delivery date) online orders/shipping is actually easier for most people. especially if you don't have a big car. if you need to do a return, they just schedule a pickup and someone just drops by to take the set back.
also less chance of the store blaming you for a broken set if you opt to return it in store.
do you have the roku tv settings set to use hdmi 2.0?
I had no idea you could do that. Thank you.
Unless I guarantee delivery on the weekend, I much rather pick it up. There's a store 10 minutes away from me, so I don't have a problem with that at all.tbh outside of needing to be home to receive it (you can pick the delivery date) online orders/shipping is actually easier for most people. especially if you don't have a big car. if you need to do a return, they just schedule a pickup and someone just drops by to take the set back.

I did. I finally got it working last night. As it turns out, using long length cables with X1X, an Onkyo receiver, and this TV at 4k60hz causes handshaking issues. I was using a brand new 15 foot HDMI cord. Tried the 6 footer that came with system and it worked. It's weird, but at least im good to go. Gorgeous picture on this tv.Did you go into the input settings on the tv and change HDMI mode from automatic to 2.0? Also, are you definitely using a 2.0 hdmi cable?
I opted to have mine shipped to home and it let me pick the day of delivery which was super convenient. Actually got it shipped home for free quicker than picking up in the store.Been checking on Best Buy's website every day... I guess they're not going to stock in stores for a while. I couldn't help but to just shake my head and laugh with your name and picture In context to that post.
Quantum Apotheosis put up a video that shows the led on white scenes. I hope that's a rare defect.

VERY good. Just to give you an idea, I have an LG B6 I've been playing on and I think this TV looks magnificent.
Nice! I obviously wouldn't replace the LG with this budget TV but maybe replace the hisense I have in my bedroom. That one was dirt cheap and is actually a good TV for gaming but doesn't have hdr10VERY good. Just to give you an idea, I have an LG B6 I've been playing on and I think this TV looks magnificent.
I am absolutely shocked at how good this TV is. I just got it this morning and I'm still floored by the image quality I'm getting at this price point. Substantial jump in quality over last year. My only complaint are the legs. They're too wide for my stand.
That's exactly what I did, I bought it for my bedroom. I'm playing God of War on it right now (Pro) and it looks eye meltingly gorgeous.Nice! Sure, so I bought a P605 in the fall for my parents living room. They had a 10 year old Sony and I like to play whenever I go visit them, so I bought it since it was cheap, displayed 4K, and had HDR. Needless to say, I was impressed by the image quality at the price point.hi can you compare more on the differences from 2017p and this?
did you own a P for a period of time or still have one to compare?
thanks
If it's the 65", you can invert them and it works great. My TV stand wasnt wide enough for normal leg position either.I am absolutely shocked at how good this TV is. I was watching a YouTube video on the TV and you can invert the legs and the stand still works fine.Sure, so I bought a P605 in the fall for my parents living room. This, however, seems like it's on a whole another level. The colors seem to be much richer and the TV seems to get noticeably brighter than last year's model, which was my main complaint when displaying HDR.
The image no longer looks cheap. It just looks very good all around. I would dare say it looks like a premium image. I've been playing God of War on the P605, LG B6, and this, and I'm blown away by good how it looks. My only complaint are the legs since they make the TV much wider.

Yea, you can. Check the link I posted.
That would be awesome!! I'm going to check it out.

No problem, see if they can demo a unit for you. I think HDR is much better this year.oh boy... that is what I was hoping for with this... gaming HDR has seemed a bit underwhelming on 605...thanks for reply, will need to go check out 6 series now
Thanks a million for that! I just did it and it worked!

I have a TCL 55" P607. It is what I now use in my bedroom.I know an LG OLED is much better, but is it 3 times the price better?
Does the image quality hold up when viewed at an angle this time?
What options do I have if the 65" won't fit on my TV stand? I don't want to mount it. I heard there's 3rd party stands that mount to the back of the TV. Any good options?
Invert legs. That's what I did. Fits great now. If stand still isn't big enough, use an aftermarket base. What options do I have if the 65" won't fit on my TV stand? I don't want to mount it. I heard there's 3rd party stands that mount to the back of the TV. Any good options?
So can someone who has owned the P 605 or 607 and now on this tell me if it is worth the upgrade for me to move my 605 to a bedroom and make this my new gaming TV?
Or is it maybe a minor upgrade from that?
