Buehler could be a star for the next 15 years but y'all want to risk that for a bit of trivia.
Pitchers need to learn how to pace themselves better so they can last longer in games. I don't think one complete game is going to ruin a career.
If a team has a guy on a pitching/inning restriction, it's for a reason. A no hitter is not important enough to ignore that. It's a novelty. It's not like you get 2 wins for getting one.
Buehler had TJ surgery before so Roberts will be extra concern
There is no study that says higher pitch counts lead to more injury. arms need to be trained, proper mechanics, strengthing.

It's a surprisingly ignorant trend that's taken hold in baseball. I can link more articles but we can see every single how many guys are having Tommy John, look at Harvey who was released today.they took care to bring him along and yet he ended up with two major surgeries.

People need Tommy John from putting too much stress on their elbow, especially when younger.
When I saw Biggio go into the hall, Smoltz went in too, he urged parents out there not to let their kids throw curveballs till a certain age.
Lance mccullers was on the radio the other day and said the same. That he wouldn't teach that until a kid is 18 or so.
When I pitched my elbow never hurt just from pitching throwing fastballs, but it did hurt when I threw more sliders. There were points where my arm would be numb.
Also all reports ive read is Tommy John surgery actually.makes your arm stronger.

I didn't say it did. I said pitcher report it feels stronger. I've heard that multiple times, but there's not way to quantify a feel. IIRC some guys have picked up some velocity after having it.

There have been rumors for as long as I remember that he is older than his listed birthday. Wouldn't be the first time a Amatuer player lied about his age to get more money. Rafael Furcal comes to mind. When he came up to the majors, he was 22, not 19-20 as people thought.
