jerod dyson just planted his foot halfway up the fence and stole a homerun ball. that was incredible.
That's Dyson for ya! Loved him when he was in KC, even if he wasn't an everyday player.
Also, congrats to Pujols!

Not a fan of pulling a pitcher with a no-hitter. I get that he's young and hasn't thrown a lot so maybe he had a pitch count limit but it could be a once in a lifetime opportunity for him. Just a bit of a shame that Roberts has done it so many times now.
Dave hates no-hitters.
Kenley pitched 3 days in a row. Can't use him tonight
Pitchers need to learn how to pace themselves better so they can last longer in games. I don't think one complete game is going to ruin a career.
YES!

1 hit complete game shutout with 16 strikeouts.
Amazing. He's been great.
If a team has a guy on a pitching/inning restriction, it's for a reason. A no hitter is not important enough to ignore that. It's a novelty. It's not like you get 2 wins for getting one.

People need Tommy John from putting too much stress on their elbow, especially when younger. There is no study that says higher pitch counts lead to more injury. arms need to be trained, proper mechanics, strengthing.
Here's some interesting articles about it

It's a surprisingly ignorant trend that's taken hold in baseball. I can link more articles but we can see every single how many guys are having Tommy John, look at Harvey who was released today.they took care to bring him along and yet he ended up with two major surgeries.
What was his spin rate
Me when the Astros win
I didn't say it did. I said pitcher report it feels stronger. I've heard that multiple times, but there's not way to quantify a feel. IIRC some guys have picked up some velocity after having it.Tommy Johns doesnt really make it stronger it just replaces your ligament
Albert Pujols becomes the oldest player to reach 3,000 hits at the age of 47.
There have been rumors for as long as I remember that he is older than his listed birthday. Wouldn't be the first time a Amatuer player lied about his age to get more money. Rafael Furcal comes to mind. When he came up to the majors, he was 22, not 19-20 as people thought.I am so confused, is this making fun of his age or? Cause he is 38. lol
