Not sounding good to me, not sounding good at all.

Basically like D1, its like the reason for the season pass is mainly to refresh things just enough to keep PVP alive, bring some PVE people back for a small jaunt. And bide their time while most their resources probably go into their next TK like expansion. The season pass was kind of a slap in the face in D1 and potentially even more so this time around.

Is the engine and asset pipeline that freaking bad for Bungie?

Makes no fucking sense. Wasn't D2 built so they could create and implement content at a much quicker rate? Like they fixed it technically right... and that was their excuse for the entirety of D1, correct?

Hell, just give me D1 combined with current D2. Let me visit the old locations and use the old weapons and armor with currently applicable stats/#'s etc. How many total strikes and PvP maps would we have if D1 and D2 were combined? Would have been a good # and kept the PvE and PvP people more entertained.

Playing through CoO before I jump in Warmind and I decided to try a little pvp and I gotta say....Control felt pretty damn good. Not Destiny 1 good yet, but it was pretty good and I enjoyed it more than I've ever enjoyed D2 pvp. I'll have to start paying attention to Iron Banner Control events because I would so be down to play Control and only Control if given the option.

Some early thoughts:

- The 3rd mission's big fight might be the best solo fight they've put in D2 so far
- Bungie really needs to add some better anti-aliasing to their engine. I'm playing in 4k on the X and all the stars in the Bray complex look terrible
- The new Graviton Lance is perfect for Hive. Skyburner's is cool now, but just feels inefficient next to Lance.
- The new Mars area is a respectable size after the joke that was Mercury
- Nothing feels like a Bungie FPS. I've been playing through Bioshock Infinite lately, and yeah, no comparison
- I like seeing things scattered around the map again that I don't know what they do until I complete the campaign

I agree with these points so far I haven't played anything but the story but this is definitely a beteter attempt than Osiris was.

Oh yeah on th pro the game plays horribly as far as frame rate goes.

Man, the Titan reward for completing the campaign is pretty lackluster compared to the Warlock and Hunter rewards.

Also, a little sad that the 2 items I'm most looking forward to are a chest piece and weapon from D1.

I'm overall enjoying it so far, but goddamn if I didn't cringe when the 2nd mission was "Go back to the EDZ"...

Could someone please post what Exotic Ornaments are currently being sold for Bright Dust at Eververse? It would be much appreciated.

The best speculation I've read was that the new engine for this improvement either wasn't coming along or wasn't going to make the deadline, so like Halo 2, they had to "reboot" halfway through development and do it all on the old engine. Hence why everything is so familiar to what we' went through in D1 in terms of content.

And thus, begins the content drought.

I'm amazed that so many people thought the Osiris campaign was better. Neither are great, but this one seemed much better than that one.

So now that it is out... How is Warmind? I havent played D2 for months... and I want to get back in for all the lovely sandbox changes but how is the campaign? Is escalation protocol as fun as Halo 3 ODST'S firefight was?

My pro hasn't had any frame issues, not sure why. There was one brief moment early in the campaign but I havent experienced any since whether on Mars or crucible etc

People are always complaining about something. Enjoy life and have some fun! Some of you guys sound like some old geezers nitpicking on everything.
Anyway, loving it so far. Played a bit of everything. Got to play the new strike on Mars, awesome boss fight!

Imo Mercury looks so much better than Mars. At least this Version of Mars. Graphically though the game is a mess now for some reason.

I mean I thing most of us agree I'm hidsight now that there probably should have never been a D2 in this state. And they should have just added to D1. Ala standard MMO's. I'm not a religious man, but I pray they don't move onto Destiny 3 in the next few years if they continue with this model.

I'm sure the big expansion will have people going "Did they turn it around! Cool." Again, threads about D2's revival etc. Then we can do it all again in D3.

I also thought the campaign was weaker than Curse of Osiris unfortunately.

Of course they will, D3 will be released 3 years after D2 released. They still have enough good will to make millions off a 3rd. It will be so much easier for them to advertised a brand new "fixed" D3 than it will be for them to get D2 where it should be, at least financially. Then it will probably be missing tons of content and people will hate Destiny again and finally Bungie will make a different game.

I like what I played but holy smokes was it short. Basically half of what the CoO campaign was. Visually it looked and ran great on the X. I'll play on PC tomorrow.

Finished the campaign too. I enjoyed what I played, but I was not expecting it to finish up so quickly, and that was mixing in some adventures to go with it. Haven't started with the post game stuff at least, plus I have a lot of experimenting to do with all the new exotic changes as well. Hit 345 pretty easily. Time for the grind.

Sweating out the first level of Escalation Protocol and beating the boss with four other underlevelled guardians, seeing the chest after the third attempt at it and then opening it to... one token. Well, that was underwhelming. Was at least hoping for a blue lol.

Well, finished the story, took about an hour. Unlike Osiris it didn't drag on forever and ever. I appreciate that. The encounters were fun enough. The patrol area is just interchangable Mars to me, I don't like patrols with all their empty space and fetch quests, so I'm bad a opinion on those. I can use my Sparrow so it's better than Mercury.

Anyone got any of the new exotics? Are they cool? Got my eye on Huckleberry.

What's the complete install size of the game on PS4 right now? Thinking of jumping back in but I don't know if I have enough free space on my console.
