It was really weird seeing Duke in Modern Family playing a high schooler AFTER he had been in Person of Interest.

Never seen Moss in anything. Is she a good actress? If so, recommend a movie or show that I can watch.
Mad Men is one of the best TV shows of all-time, peak of drama. I dream of making a character drama that good.

Her whole arc in that show is fantastic and she has some killer scenes in it. Do yourself a favor and watch it, every episode is on Netflix.

Damn, day one.

Wait, it's not called The Handmaidens Tale? Lol, I've been calling it that all the time.

Handmaid makes so much more sense now that I think about it.

That trio is such a great cast and Peele might be the most promising new filmmaker around so this is super exciting.

I'm in. Didn't even need the superstar cast, but I'm not complaining about it either.

Holy shit that cast! Elizabeth Moss alone is enough to make me watch a movie. I watched The Square only because they was on the poster even though she featured for like 15 minutes.

Let's let him get more than 1 hit under his belt before we anoint him.

Was going to say...could easily be lightning in a bottle. I hope it isn't and I'm excited to see what he makes. But there are countless directors who create masterpieces and never make something close to it again. It's the same with bands who can never come close to their first album. I didn't expect him to make another horror right away tbh.

Honestly there are but a handful of directors who you can bet your house on their film not only being good, but essentially a masterpiece. If you put a gun to my head the only "mainstream/western" director I can well and truly vouch for is Paul Thomas Anderson.

Gotta do what you love and do the story you want to tell. Besides doesn't he have a deal with blumhouse that is 95% horror

Hopefully he shakes of the vestiges of his genre parody sketch comedy root and leans more confidently into his own aesthetic for this. I enjoyed Get Out reasonably well, but I'm not about to proclaim him the next big thing. He's got potential for sure though, looking forward to this.

Personally going down the horror path seems like a quick path to retreading yourself and the entire genre (witness the poster that looks like every other horror poster in its aesthetics) but he's also only two films in so who knows.

I think the sketch comedy stuff showed that Key and Peele could pull off plenty of genres without much difficulty.
