Vegeta fighting dumb isn't a good explanation for Goku being able to touch Hit in his base form. Goku even draws blood in his base form which seems ridiculous given Hit was later tanking hits from SSBlue. It's just nonsensical rule of cool as far as I'm concerned.

I was going to say that I didn't buy the idea of Cabba reaching the heights of Goku and Vegeta without ever hitting Super Saiyan, but then I realized that in a universe where the Saiyans were still around and defenders of justice, the Super Saiyan God ritual would probably be a pretty standard thing. Presumably he's had a lot of experience in that form. Fair enough on that point, then.

They didn't fight any one them in their base forms, so it isn't a retcon. That and they probably could win by outsmarting or outplaying them.

Hit wasn't going all out against base form Goku because he was trying not to kill him. Instead, he try to make Goku see how foolish he's being and give up. The moment Hit got serious, Goku went straight to Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan.

Bandai beat their forecast (96 Billion Yen) for DB for the fiscal year ending March 31st 2018 by almost 2 Billion Yen.
97.9 Billion Yen = 892.5 Million USD. Add in Toei's numbers (which we'll get soon) and the IP did over $1 Billion for Toei and Bandai combined

Nearly 30 Billion Yen over Gundam and a massive lead over One Piece.
They are forecasting a lower number for DB in this fiscal year due to the lack of a weekly TV show.

Well, you can, One Piece did it. The difference here is that they started work on the artstyle nearly 2 years before the movie's release date and even a few months before they had the idea for the movie, Toriyama hand picked the new designer and was involved in the creation of the new style while also throwing stealth shade at the old designer, and finally they are making a big deal about the new artstyle.
