I'm in for Edge of Seventeen on Red after Cobra Kai killed it.

I generally don't wish for any show to be cancelled. The actors and crews get to keep working in an industry where it can all be pretty volatile. Even the lowest rated shows still have hundreds of thousands of people who enjoy it. If their that can continue, so be it.

Why not scratch the ending of Castle and do a spin-off about Rick becoming a cop?

I remember a german crime drama that recast the lead after three seasons when the original actor quit, they did an episode where he crashed his car which exploded, he had surgery and got a new face, it was nuts (intentionally) but calling attention to the ridiculousness helped them getting away with the recast imo. The show ran for five more seasons, the new guy lasted longer than the original actor.

I remember that show, it was Kommissar Rex about a police detective partnering up with a German Shepherd. They "recasted" the dog as well because the show was running for so many seasons. ;)

I wouldn't be surprised if B99 is canceled. They seem to set up this season to end with a wedding, so I'm sure it'll make a great series finale.

Never watched it, I was just needling the many browncoats of ERA.

edit: B99 should go, this season was pretty good but it's time. Last Man on Earth should go. SHIELD should definitely go. They're all tired.

double edit: Renew Gotham. The best comic book show on television.

I absolutely loved the movie, but I'm not sure if I should be excited about a YouTube Red series. I still haven't gotten around to Step Up.

Well if the show gets cancelled there's always the books even though they are some changes.
I'm reading through the newest book right now and if the show does stick around it's going to be interesting to see how they handle the
decades long time skip. Lots of old age makeup I guess.

I hope The Rookie with Nathan Fillian first episode ends with his superior officer telling him that maybe he's not the worst thing to come to their precenct since the law to ban the use of bear mace and that maybe he has some potential for an old dude. Then tells him to hit the showers. When Fillian returns to the bullpen he's wearing a perfectly tailored and gorgeous suit and everyone is looking at him like damn son you clean up nice. Then his beautiful wife/longterm girlfriend shows up and she's got amazing legs and impossibly perky boobs and they kiss before going out arm and arm for a romantic evening.

I'll probably watch even if it doesn't do that though.

Same here. Peak TV has me almost glad when something I was kind of interested in gets panned--one less thing to watch.

Lol. I praise plenty of shows. As always I maintain that anyone who says I only slam stuff either has very selective reading abilities or terrible taste.

Even though I've watched The Blacklist since it started, I'm OK with it ending. They've stretched out the show's central mysteries enough. It's time for closure before the writing quality drops any more.

As much as I loved "the idea" of the show originally, Designated Survivor is so terrible that the ratings are really not surprising.

I don't think I've ever seen a show with so much talent involved (in theory) turn out so bland, gutless and with downright stupid scripts/ situations.

It's almost infuriating to see what it devolved into, after a start that wasn't all that good to begin with tbh.

Well the first two episodes are free. YT Red numbers for the remaining ones would be more useful. ;) But yeah, I'm not surprised they renewed it so fast. They gotta start somewhere with their platform and they've got awesome material to work with.
