Holy shit. Has any show ever had that many episodes ordered at once?

I wonder how it will fare after the longer break + McDonalds fiasco. Anecdotally, I have a few friends that loved the show but the trollish fanbases from the whole sauce thing kinda... ruined it for them. I'm sure they will still watch but yeah I just don't see this being as huge as it was. Not as "underground" and cool or whatever.

I think after a little while casual fans just realized it's not actually underground so we don't have to talk about it all the time ¯\_(ツ)_ /¯

Whoa. Okay, yeah, that's a lot.

Freeform Orders 'Everything's Gonna Be Okay' Comedy Pilot From 'Please Like Me' Creator
Freeform has given a pilot order to Everything's Gonna Be Okay, a half-hour comedy from Please Like Me creator, writer and comedian Josh Thomas, Avalon Television and Freeform Studios.

Created and written by and starring Thomas, Everything's Gonna Be Okay centers on Nicholas (Thomas), a typical 25-year-old still living at home with his single dad and two teenage half-sisters, who is not particularly helpful in raising his siblings, one of which has autism. However, when their dad becomes terminally ill, the girls have to cope with not only a devastating loss but also the realization that Nicholas is the one who will have to hold it all together.
Yeeeeeees! Please Like Me was fucking amazing. So I'm looking forward to getting utterly emotionally devastated from what supposedly is a comedy again.

NBC has also picked up 2 more series (in addition to New Amsterdam)

The Village

The Enemy Within

NBC has picked up 2 more series - comedies this time

I Feel Bad

Abbys

NBC has picked up 2 more dramas

Manifest

Penned by Mysteries of Laura creator Jeff Rake and counting Robert Zemeckis among its other EPs, Manifest is described as a character-driven, high-concept mystery thriller in which a plane disappears from radar and returns years later after being untraceable and presumed lost at sea. No time has passed for those aboard the plane, but for their loved ones at home, years have gone by. The series follows the passengers' personal lives as well as the larger mystery and purpose that is their destiny.

The InBetween

The InBetween is a character-driven procedural that follows Cassie Bishop (Harriet Dyer of Australia's Love Child), a young woman who was born with a gift, though she may call it a curse — she can see and communicate with the dead, helping them with their unresolved problems … whether she likes it or not.

That makes 8 new series orders from NBC (they also have The Gilded Age on tap from the Downton Abbey guy).

They have 5 more comedy pilots in contention and 2 more drama pilots.

Manifest sounds like all those shows about dead people coming back that were all the rage a few years ago (Les Revenants, The Returned, Resurrection)...

The InBetween is basically Ghost Whisperer/Medium...

It was not known. It wasn't doing well at all in the ratings, especially leading out after Family Guy, but there was a little bit of a chance it would get renewed. Plus, it left off on a cliffhanger, so now THAT'S aggravating!

Maybe a sign for Brooklyn too? Ratings also not even beating Simpsons, and they've been bouncing around its time slot for a while now. Neither a good sign :/

Every time a prime time show on Sunday on Fox dies I get a little bothered cause I think about how they let go of American Dad and have had so many bad shows show up on that night.

Yeah, I can see that for B99 as well. I'm not sure if there were talks of another network picking it up, like NBC or even Hulu, but that would be cool if that happened.
With B99, they at least made the season finale work as a series finale, so either fate would be fine. For LMOE, they just do cliffhangers every season. It's very annoying and really bit them in the ass this time.

Seems that The Last Man on Earth was canned judging by this post: https://www.instagram.com/p/Bim-aUYlsdA/

Yep. TV Line just confirmed The Last Man on Earth's cancellation via January Jones' Instagram as well.

At least The Clevland Show died completely.
True. That show didn't annoy me as much cause it was on while American Dad was still at Fox. So it didn't feel like the show bumped it out of the way lol. But The Cleveland Show lasted longer than I thought it would because it just did not feel like it had effort behind it.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine and The Mick are cancelled.

God damn! Fox is on a killing spree! I thought for sure The Mick would at least get renewed. Now that it's not, it also ended on a very dark note as well.

One of the main characters, Sabrina, was about to go to college at Yale University but got struck by lightning while holding Mickey's sword and ended up in a coma.
