What does the syndication mean? From a quick glance at wikipedia it's some US thing and I don't really get it
Basically it's when a show is sold to other smaller stations to air the episodes 5 nights a weeks. They repeat the episodes every few months depending on how many episodes there are.

Basically when a show gets enough episodes to package and sell to the secondary networks.

Think Angel, Charmed, Supernatural, etc airing on TNT

With that amount of episodes they pack them in, airing almost every day sometimes even multiple.

What are the chances Disney puts B99, The Mick and Last Man on another network? I mean that's Fox's best funny stuff right there.

The show has been doing very badly this season. The most recent episode got a .1 rating... I know FX is kinder than most in terms of ratings but they have to have some sort of threshold. It pains me but I think it'll be a miracle if it survives.

Ratings dont matter much on FX. Plus Noah Hawley has essentially carte blanche there. If he wants to do another season they will let him. If he wants to try something new they will let him.

B99 :(

I hope AoS and Gotham are canceled. It's the only way to balance the universe. Also, New Girl's last season has been awful.

That's a shame about those shows. I will say as much as I like B99, it does seem to have run it's course and it never really jumped from a really likable show to a truly amazing one.

And yeah New Girl's final season is definitely more of an epilogue to the main show. It's inoffensive but so far it's all been really average episodes.

I can't say I'm really unhappy with B99 being cancelled. 5 seasons and going out with the wedding is a good run, and I'd rather that and see what the actors do next than just watch it get tired and cringe-worthy.

Fox has ordered 2 new series:

comedy The Cool Kids

drama Proven Innocent

(in addition to The Passage)

Fox has ordered a new multi cam comedy, Rel

Lil Rel, a prideful, self-made success who lives by the code to "always believe in yourself and great things will come," finds that attitude put to the test when he learns his wife is having an affair with his own barber. He tries to rebuild his life post-divorce as a long-distance single father on the South Side of Chicago who's on a quest for love, respect and a new barber. Inspired by Lil Rel's real life.

Over the past year or so my fox list of shows has plummeted to the point where I'm now only watching one show from them.

I thought this was interesting:

About two-thirds of AMC Networks revenue comes from distribution fees and sales of content to streaming services and networks around the world. The remaining one-third is advertising. "We will probably see that accelerate toward the non-ad-supported pieces over time," he said.

Also,

AMC's premium subscription service, first launched on Comcast's Xfinity platform, is now headed for YouTube TV and the company aims to continue the rollout.

That is crazy that 67% of AMCs revenue now comes from basically streaming and international. I wonder what that means for other networks like SyFy, its the only hope I think for something like The Expanse.

I hope Terry Crews gets to be the star of a new show, he is the best thing about Brooklyn 99. Terry needs his own Breaking Bad or Lost. He should also be on a netflix or HBO show.

B99 :(

I hope AoS and Gotham are canceled. It's the only way to balance the universe. Also, New Girl's last season has been awful.

I agree, the last season has felt awkward, rushed, and felt like it had forced drama elements. I feel like it could've been done better if it had more episodes but whatever.

I can't say I'm really unhappy with B99 being cancelled. 5 seasons and going out with the wedding is a good run, and I'd rather that and see what the actors do next than just watch it get tired and cringe-worthy.

I unfortunately also agree here, feels like The Office, Parks and Recs, and shows of the like go downhill after the fifth season ends. But, I feel like Brooklyn 99 may have been able to break this trend as compared to these shows, 99 has fleshed out their main cast fully. I feel like in the two shows I mentioned the only people important in the Office were Dwight, Michael, Jim, and Pam, and for Parks and Recs, it would be Leslie, Ben....yep. Everyone else feels like side characters that could be removed and the only thing that would've changed was the level of comic relief.

However with B99, Rosa, Amy, Holt, Terry, Jake, Gina, and Charles are all equally important and losing any of them feels like a vital piece is missing. This is why I didn't really enjoy the first half of Season 5. As much as I love the wholesome nature of everyone else, not having Gina in the show felt like there wasn't a balance in the show's chemistry. At least her absence was due to family reasons and temporary, unlike Michael leaving in The Office because he was tired of the character, or Ann and Chris leaving in Parks and Recs because it was their time or something.

The Hulu news is potentially incredible...but I live in the UK and won't be able to watch without a VPN.

STILL.

Please save it, Hulu!

B99 is on Netflix in Europe, not Hulu. Wait, is there even Hulu in Europe, like officially? I dont think so right?

B99 We salute you!

That new OT title...
People did ask for a new title. I only provide people with what they want, I wash my hands before the multitude!

I miss that show so much. It had so much Potential :(
Rubicon we truly are the last of us ;)

that show was so good

There's only maybe three Rubicon gifs in the known universe.
Watch The Bureau (Le Bureau des Légendes), it is the show that has come closest to (tbh, superseding) Rubicon.
It's so freaking good (so good in fact that it was my top pick of last year), it's available on Sundance Now (I think it's even still free?) if you're in the US.
And it has 3 seasons with a 4th one coming this year!

Well, there goes a satisfying ending :(

To be honest, I feel like it won't have the same fate as the other shows I mentioned, along with developed characters, the actors themselves are VERY invested into the show and it's not as limited on ideas as the latter ones given it's action oriented style.

The show in itself feels very skit-like lately anyways so I don't think this will do anything.

Lol it'd be funny if all three of these shows got picked up elsewhere. The Kevin Reilly factor is also promising if TBS can afford the show.

Fox gets shit for cancelling a lot of beloved shows over the years but a lot of the stuff they cancel would never have been greenlit on another broadcast network.
