Yeah, that was my mistake. I only checked the Bungie Help Twitter and not the forum there as it's a pretty big issue.

I feel like I'm completely stuck now. All my gear is at 265 and I have no way to get anything higher than that. I'd like to try the heroic strike but I don't see a way forward to get new gear.

I scoured the whole map and I'm still 29/45 on data. This is some next-level Easter Egg hunting going on.
It's so nice to have it back.
I really hope that they end up bringing back Dead Ghosts in the fall expansion and put them all over the different zones and private match maps. But this is good in the meantime.
Obviously this game has zero Q/A. Stuck in a strike where it wont let me join my team. Nothing I can do except leave.
Yeah the pre-dlc soft cap is 265. At this point your main method of leveling will be from your weekly milestones. You can also get some small upgrades from the post campaign planetary quests (blue markers). Not sure if the strikes will scale down since you dont have the dlc but if they dont I am pretty sure you will not be able to damage anything.
Did the 200 precision shot thing for the IKELOS HC Pursuit only to find out I'm now tasked with killing 50 HVT/Yellows with it.
Also just started to realize the little floating Warmind nodes are mostly dropping blues and shaders.
The grind is back and it's bland. I think I'm done until the fall update/overhaul.

I'd say I'd stick around for the Raid Lair but I'm probably not at the proper PL (currently at the soft gate of 345) and can't be bothered to grind for it when there are so many other great games to play at the moment.
Have you done the legendary/exotic quests? If not, those will help push you further. Once you get the ability to add mods to gear (at Banshee if you're 280 iirc) you'll be able to gain another 5 levels easily. Purple mods give a +5 boost to power level. Until then, keep an eye on gear with purple mods on them, and infuse those with the highest possible PL gear in that slot.
If you're really impatient you can fire up a second or third character and throw on your highest level weapons on them once they reach level 20, do the weeklies, and you should be able to get to higher than 265 with each new character. I don't believe there is value in having more than one of the same character. I think I read that the weekly milestones will drop at a lower level on another character of the same class.

It was 100 precision kills, not 200.
Also, the 50 majors takes like 5 mins to do. Load into normal leviathan, nuke the 8 majors right in front of you with coil, re-load and repeat.

nah man just go in the raid solo and kill the orange bar cabal at the start also you dont have to kill the 50 with the gun just have it on you.. it shouldnt take but 3-4 goes at it..
Did the new strike Insight Terminus. Final boss is either glitches or has the largest health pool of anything I'e fought so far in destiny. Direct gits with a solar raid rocket launcher were barely even scratching him. Rest was fun, but that fight was a bore.
Or if you haven't done the Nessus milestone, do it with the gun equipped and you'll have it done in 3 or 4 PEs.
Class item is the item this week, from Level 7. I got the bond and the mark.
There's also a cheese method. If you haven't already done the Exodus Siege adventure, start it and kill the cloaked Fallen enemy (he's a yellow bar), but don't pick up the quest item he drops. He'll keep respawning out of a nearby cave until you pick it up.
I just stood there with Merciless and farmed him, he'll always drop a power ammo brick.
Alternatively you can start the raid and just redo the start.

It boggles my mind why we can't change the FoV, of course the larger Destiny community doesn't seem to care either. It has one of the lowest FoV if not the lowest out of any game I play, it's there on PC and the game has a dynamic resolution so I don't see why not.
I wish I could change my FOV on console, a gun taking up half the screen is not a good feeling for me.
Is the PS4 getting patched? Played my PC my X1X charachars first before jumping on Pro last night only to find iits stuttering! Was fine before the update.
Fucking May and this damn game still won't give me this damn raid ghost. Starting to just get irritated at this point. Crux of Crota all over again.

DIM completely broke for me (Yes, even with the signing in on all 3 characters thing. It was working earlier but now just gives a bungie.net network error. Deleted Cookies, revoked the token, everything, still just gives me that red box.) so I've been adapting to going back to the vault to move things. It's not an easy adjustment.

Still my favourite primary, hands down for me. Sprinkle in that little kickback on enemies and peppering enemies with the firing cadence combined with pure ranged accuracy is just FPS weapon perfection.
Wait they want me to do 5 heroic strikes with the IKELOS pistol? Are they out of their goddam minds? Can you have another weapon equipped? Do you have to only use the IKELOS?! That's absurd!
Apparently you just need to have it equipped. You don't even have to use it technically. That's the way it works for every part of it's chain afaik.

if you want heroic strikes to be just combat strolls through the park.... why even have them? Why have an easy strike playlist (heroic) and then a WAY too easy one (normal)
I'm going to be very annoyed if Bungie listens to the hardcore communities whinging about Raids not being the conclusions to the main campaigns story. They weren't in Destiny 1 and they haven't been in Destiny 2 and that's a good thing. Only a fraction of the players who finish the campaign do the Raid, that's a lot of people who wouldn't get to finish the story.
I think the main problem is because normal is ridiculously easy to the point its a cakewalk and then Heroic is a huge leap in difficulty. A simple hard mode across most of the game would be VERY appreciated, would much prefer to play Story/Adventures/Lost Sectors with a bit of challenge where I don't feel like I can just walk through it but also not too sweaty like the new Heroic.
I thought people were just complaining about the dlc raids not being part of the dlc story? I don't know anyone who was expecting the raids to have anything to do with Gaul.

One of the top voted posts of this week on r/DTG was complaining that Ghaul and Xol weren't the Raid bosses. Even with DLC Raid's I don't want them to require the Raid for something as simple as completing the main story. I've been max power level and have 214 hours played but haven't done the Raid or any of the Lairs due to the time and party requirements, I simply don't have any friends who care about this game anymore past the first week besides my partner. Using LFG in Destiny 1 led to a terrible experience that I wouldn't exactly want to do again.
I really hope Xur has brand spanking new shit for us this week. I don't want to see any fucking repeats.
