Releasing one button a frame early while performing a wake-up EX move is an esoteric situation? What?
Well yeah, the underlying mechanics of why a single negative edge input can foul up your wake-up EX is, in fact, obscure and specialized knowledge. It's an oddity in the way the game processes inputs and should be fixed, but it's also mildly annoying at worst and can be easily mitigated once you know what's happening (avoid superfluous button presses, hold the buttons down, map a button to 3P/3K etc.). Hardly game-breaking.
Games have bugs, but season 3 is a fucking mess so many bugs showing up, they need to fix these shit...
The monthly usage stats for May finally dropped and my boy Alex has moved out of his double double trailer and into a single digit fumigated basement apartment (#8 this month). Looks like Alex finally made it into top 8 for something in SFV lmao. If he were a high tier tournament character he'd probably stick in the top five along with the shotos, Cammy and Guile permanently. I'll take these season 3.5 scraps with a smile, though. This is a far better situation than we had in season 2.
Bison is THE online character of SFV. His popping V-Trigger is the closest thing SFV has got to dark phoenix. I'm just glad that I have parries to fall back on.
Yet I never encounter these bugs. Maybe it's anecdotal but out of almost a thousand matches this season, I have yet to see a match be significantly affected by these so rampant bugs.
I've been getting kind of burnt out on SFV and I'm starting to get into the pre-E3 hype, so I started playing a bit of Smash on Wii U again... holy shit. If we want to talk about a game with terrible balance, nonsense mechanics, shit netcode, and a toxic playerbase, that's your game.
It's a bit unfair to compare Smash and SFV since SFV is a fighting game.
This Shadaloo soldier is particularly easy to cheese with Chun, or any other character with a decent multi-hit move that'll break armor. You can seriously just spam legs at them for the most part and their mega chip damage will do the rest

This time I beat all 3 tries with Akuma, Menat and Falke. With Falke just jump in with HP + stHP, when the armor break, forward HP. If you see him charging and you are on the floor, go for a throw. Do not try to hit him AFTER him execute the charged move, because of its weird hitbox.

Eh wasn't so lucky myself. Though I was more hesitant and I was close to managing my 3rd attempt, the match times over right before the last hit of the CA lands.
I've grown too use to the Rashid strategy and to an extent baiting the AI using Guile's V-Skill. Thankfully the next Shadaloo soldier is a gold one and earns a lot of FM, but that's not until 2 weeks. Hopefully I make up for that; currently have over 45K FM.
Thank you for the tip, played it once with Falke with basically just jHP and some sweeps and throws. 12K FM for winning after the XP bump.

It could explain the phenomenon of EX Reversals look like they came out in online matches but instead the regular Rassenha came out.
That FK "Nerf" has enough push back that his Boom will end up in front of your opponent on wake up after a FK. You can make his Upside Down Kick plus on block if you chase after the Boom.
I'd probably buy some of those if it weren't for the teeth.
Between trying out and ditching Falke and now trying to learn Laura, my LP has tanked. SMH at scumbags that end rounds using their supers when any hit would've done the job. Ess my aytch I say. I've been out of practice for ages though, I can't jump in on anyone. No matter my angle or depth, an opponent's AA button is just gonna get me every time. Makes me really struggle on the other side as Karin when that's a weak part with her, so it's been liberating playing Laura for a bit and having a reliable tool for the job.
I think I'll use all the EXP soldiers on Akuma. I don't want to use him, but I want his Fruit Vendor level 50 title.

I think that's just Guile privilege. Capcom has shown they are fully willing to murder the man's main.
