Hopefully not. It's still kind of odd.

The only sense that I can make is the 5 days break between New York and Boston.

Hopefully a show is planned for Toronto during that break, but then again it's a weekday and there's no way we are getting a weekday show unless it's Thursday.

Another logical guess would be a 2 days show between Nashville and Washington D.C., where there is no tour for a week.

These song titles! I wouldn't be surprised if the album has a heavy dose of satire in them.

How can it be underrated when it has the most iconic songs from them?

I must strenuously disagree, I think Fragile and Things Falling Apart are my favorite EP/ Remix combo. While Fragile has a lot of interludes, Left contains my favorite NIN tracks ever. The Wretched, We're In This Together, Even Deeper, No You Don't are all amazing tracks

'Still' - the EP - is underrated, not TDS. The exclusive songs and the amazing rework of The Becoming are some of his best work. I loves it.

Everything doesn't even sounds like it belongs on the same album. It's just randomly on that album and it breaks the consistency.

That's because Everything and Satellite (which I love, but is a blatant rip of of Hot Thing by Prince) were recorded initially for a 'best of' compilation owed to Interscope. That's why they seem tonally different, especially Everything.

I hope so

Why do you say that, though?

Have you guys ready the ticket presale break down it's hilarious

This is amazing

What? Why? Physical World Presale?
The promise of a world made better by computers and online connectivity has failed us in many ways, particularly when it comes to ticketing. Everything about the process sucks and everyone loses except the reseller.
We've decided to try something different that will also likely suck, but in a different way. We're hoping many of you will be happy with the results, while some may do what they always do and bitch about it.

Here's how it works:
You (an actual human being) show up at the box office, interact with the ticket seller (another actual human being) and purchase up to four tickets that will actually be handed to you on the spot. The tickets will not be available online or anywhere else before or during that day. All seats (including the best seats) will be available first come, first serve. You may actually encounter other actual human beings with similar interests likely wearing black clothing during the process and potentially interact with THEM. The experience has the potential* to be enjoyable. Nine Inch Nails has always been about bringing people together, living life to the fullest and good times.**

Yeah, I guess I've seen them on weekends more often than not. I'm glad I've seen them four times, because I may not see them anytime soon. Which isn't the end of the world, but it'd be nice.

That said, if you have to actually go to the venue to get tickets, I may not bother. I like the idea, but the venue is hours away from me so I doubt I'd make a separate trip just for that. I like them, but am cheap and poor.

Going off some of the replies I might be in the minority liking The Slip over Hesitation Marks.
Count me in too. From 2007-2011 Trent seemed to actually be aging very gracefully in an artistic sense, doing stuff like Ghosts, The Social Network, and The Slip while experimenting with what "Internet 2.0" had to offer both in a business sense and an artistic sense.

Hesitation Marks convinced me to check out of the Reznor Hotel. After years of espousing the values of being an independent artist, Reznor got back in with a label, kicked out Rob Sheridan and brought back the guy who did the artwork for what is arguably NIN's most famous album, and released music that was a massive regression from what he'd accomplished over the past few years. Then he married someone less than half his age who can't sing worth shit, and now he's unironically telling young people to "get off yer phones and interact with 'REAL' people!"

NIN is coming out to Japan this summer as part of the Summer Sonic Tour. It's the only band I'm interested in seeing on that day, I've been DYING to see them in concert for years. Not sure if their set is worth the $100+ ticket price though... : /

I'm surprised to see so much love for The Fragile here. I think I liked Downward Spiral the most, not just because it's angry, angsty Trent, but I probably listened to it more than any other album back in high school. I liked Year Zero a lot as well. The Fragile is moody Trent painting emotional soundscapes, but I like when he's just bursting with something to say.

I struggle to understand how Trent went from telling Australians at a live performance to steal his album as Interscope were taking the piss with the pricing, to giving The Slip away and going DIY etc... to being an Apple/Beats executive and returning to a major label (for Hesitation Marks and HTDA, at least). I mean, I understand how priorities change when you have kids... but if you're already a multimillionaire, that angle doesn't really stick as your kids are already set for a higher quality of life than most. I'm so jealous, NIN have The Jesus and Mary Chain as support in the US. Two of my favourite bands ever. They haven't even announced a tour here in Australia yet. I was hopeful they'd come here after Japan but they instead announced more US dates.....

Anyone who doesn't know The Jesus and Mary Chain will have their minds blown. One of the few artists that have been covered by the Pixies and the Butthole Surfers. One of the best alternative bands to ever come out of Scotland and indeed the UK as a whole. Bobby Gillespie of Primal Scream was a former drummer and is known to jump in for the odd song on live tours.

Adrift And at Peace
Persistance of loss
(Still EP)
Those are my underated classics

I love the Still EP.

I used to be a huge NIN fan, but now I look back on the albums and they just seem so childish. But Still EP is the one NIN album that I still enjoy.

@ Carnby - love the avatar! I don't often see fellow Pig fans around. Cant wait to hear Risen on June 8! Have you heard Truth is Sin yet?

It's a great time for industrial rock right now, new Pig in June, New NIN in June and a new Ohgr release is imminent as well!

Wow! I'm definitely over 10 by now, but my first NIN show was during the pre-With Teeth tour. Really great every time

That 9 second tease is pretty dope

I just went and looked up my first show. It was the 2nd leg of the Self Destruct tour in Denver on October 20, 1994. The 2nd show a year later where he toured with Bowie was the one that completely blew my mind and here we are.

I listened to Hesitation Marks and both EPs a couple times yesterday and they are aging like fine wine. Really love all three.

I'm curious about the LP/EP thing. I know it was confirmed to ba an LP, but only six tracks listed...

For now I'm going to assume that Shit Mirror is a 30 minute instrumental.

Nothing on CD, yet. I hope we get a full trilogy set of the 3 EPs/album in one CD, I will gladly double dip.

That would be pretty boss if that happens. Yea I'd double drip for sure. I cant afford all the other bundles they got going for Bad Witch so I guess the $20 package is mine to own....I really liked the physical component for Add Violence.

PS: I prefer your previous avatar =P

I love that there's so many NIN fans of various ages here. I've been listening to Trent since Pretty Hate Machine, seen him live about 10 times, and have hated everything after The Fragile, which is in my Top 5 albums of all time.

I'm hoping someday he puts out another album I can love.
