Awesome, I'm glad B99 was saved since it's great... add it to that list lol.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend was saved by CW. It was supposed to be on a premium cable channel. Showtime, I think?
That's a bit of a different situation since it would have only had a produced pilot. There's a lot of examples of that. Networks passing on pilots and then others picking them up to series.

Ah, damn. It was so excellent too. Any FNL fans would enjoy it a ton (same showrunner too, Jason Katims). Well, I'll just try to savor the finale....

OrangeAtlas you should still watch it, it's terrific.

It's definitely an easier sell now that there's only 9 episodes.

Friday Night Lights always seemed interesting but I don't give a damn about football so a musical theater coating seemed like an easy enough way to get me into it.

FOX revived an expensive ABC sitcom

NBC revived an expensive FOX sitcom

ABC... you know you have to renew Great News to complete the circle

This is so fucking weird. I know shows do jump networks from time to time, but what the hell is happening? lol

Universal being the production company behind B99 probably reduces some of the financial stresses yeah?

The show always felt like it should've been on NBC anyway, and it should partner nicely with something like The Good Place.

You don't think it fit in right in the center of Animation Domination?

Speaking of which, when do we learn about this year's failed cartoon attempt?

Oh I know, but I just wonder if it's just a sign of the old model of studios selling stuff to competing networks just dying now. I never understood why they operated separately anyway.

I mean, that model is probably dying now (which is why people like Sony Pictures TV should be at least a little bit scared), but I can understand the general idea of "we developed this for our network, and it's good, but it really doesn't fit with anything so let's see if someone else wants it".

The B99 news today reminded me of Community after NBC canceled it. Everyone was pinning their hopes on Hulu and then the news broke that Hulu passed and everyone thought it was over. But then Yahoo picked it up a day later. I think Hulu passes on both shows because the production companies already had offers on the table that they couldn't beat.

Midgar, With Love
You can go ahead and save The Expanse, too, NBC.

I know you wanna.

I know it would get like a 0.01 on your network.

But I know you still wanna.

That sounds fun! Any place to read an episode must-watch list?
After S1 is too hard to say because they become full arc and almost all are great and important

now for S1 I can't definitively say all the important story bit episodes but episodes worth giving a shot are
1
3
6
11(Arkham introduction)
14("Joker" intro)
15(scarecrow pt 1)
16(scarecrow pt2)
17(red hood gang)
22(season final)
