Ok so, at 345 light and if you have milestones, and raids still to do. How do you tackle this?

Do I keep running strikes at 345. Turn in milestones or do raids first. What light level gear do normal and then heroic give?

Do Normal Raid
Then Prestige Version
Then Raid Lair

Hold onto Milestones till Monday Night or Tuesday morning depending on when reset happens for you
Pop them as last rewards before next week starts

This way Raid keeps pushing you up LL wise, then roll your Milestone powerful gear to cover anything from raids you didn't finish

Do it for all 3 classes like this
Save the milestones for last, unless you can run the new raid by Sunday by doing swap gear and pushing at least 1 class to it

I don't think it really matters, so long as you have expended every random way you could level up. 345 seems like it is pretty much the cap for engrams and vendor gear.

Heroic Strikes will not get you gear above 345 (aside from the weekly milestone).

Cool, thanks. That'll be my goal for this weekend then.

Yeah, I'm only running for that one pursuit thing. Heroic is harder than NF, other than that it looks like its the weekly milestone again.

Somewhere
So I came around on Heroic Strikes.

I decided I'd matchmake until I had a group of randoms that were at least 345+

I had to back out of 3 games, then I got a game with a 351 and a 345. I am at 350.

That was really doable. Had to change up some elements on my secondary and power weapon, but once I set them right (solar) it was just way faster TTK both ways. We beat it in about 15 minutes.

This is fun, but it should only allow you in at 345 for your own good IMO

You want only one drop at a time so you can min max your LL as much as possible basically.
Fair enough, though I think most people could get nearly the same results if they just infuse and adjust after every raid drop. Not quite as granular, but it gets the job done without running 2 whole groups.

Just started my PC characters tonight on the Warmind expansion/update and man, these Heroic Strikes with modifiers are the best thing in the game for me. So, so glad they did this and hope they don't change a thing other than continue to add more modifiers and more strikes. Yeah, the rewards are awful but I don't even care. Please don't give in and lower the recommended PL, if anything just make another separate strike playlist for folks who don't like the current iteration of the Heroic Strike playlist.

So how many people is Escalation tuned for? Because, waiting around as a group of 3 for more people to show up (not to mention everyone is way to low light level for it, because reasons) is pretttttttyyyyyyyy fucking dumb.

They advertised the shit out of this mode, and I have yet to run with a group that can pass level 2 (3 once!). You can't even start the patrol with 6, which I imagine is closer to the tuning point than 3 for this. What happens when all the people that came back for this DLC are gone because they can't level up, and you can only get 3 people in there? /calusclap

I've mostly only heard of groups of 9 players completing it. Makes no sense to why they didn't make it it's own mode with dedicated play-spaces, matchmaking, etc.

Just up the rewards to 350.. it seems no brainer to me.

I think the problem currently is that most people aren't really noticing the modifiers, and are shocked when they see how hard it is. Once most players are above 350 I suspect things will get a bit more easy though.

Some modifiers are just too rough as well though. I don't like it when I log in and have to think "Oh well, that's fucked.....maybe I should try again tomorrow when the modifiers are different"

I just want to repeat the sentiment that glass is an awful modifier. Good god that modifier sucks ass, especially with solar sniper enemies

Oh god do I hate it when Bungie decides to have fixed color spots on armor that are impossible to change with shaders. I absolutely love the PvP chest for Titan with the alternative feather skin, but there's for some reason a big orange spot in the middle of the armor. And now the new Mars armor set has random patterns of yellow all over it.

Please stop with this crap. It ruins the fun of trying to make them look good with your own personal color themes.

Didn't finish the lair but got to the last boss fully blind. Absolutely loved it. Gorgeous, and has some really fun mechanics.

I ran the three heroic strikes on my main the other day with a couple clan members and it was quite difficult but a lot of fun. There was a solar modifier so everything was weak to solar (including us) but two of us had Prometheus Lens so we went around fucking melting everything, it was awesome. You REALLY have to pay attention to the modifier.

The heroic strikes are far more difficult now than the nightfall actually. I'm sure they'll get easier as everyone levels up in the coming weeks. It's just the level scaling is far less forgiving now, which is what people wanted.

The strike version of the final Warmind mission is difficult as FUCK! If the solo campaign was this difficult I'm sure people wouldn't be bitching about it being too easy, they'd be bitching about it being too hard.

Also my dog enjoys her shit enough to consume it.

After you hit 345 its all about Milestones, Raid, Trials, etc.

Basically all weekly sources. Just make sure to do one at a time. Get the drop, infuse, THEN grab the next one

If you do all your weeklies at once you risk wasting drops that give you less light since its based on your progression

Raids, hands down.

I would have said no way would they make the most inaccessible part of the game the most viable way to level up, but that's what they've done haven't they...
Yes. Apparently there's no middle ground possible at Bungie. Just wild swings between appealing to casuals and the hardcore. As someone else said, these guys work for the same company that employs Blizzard, a company that went through all of this over a decade ago and could help Bungie greatly.

Clearly Heroic Strikes are broken and need some work. Other than that, what's the issue?
The issue is the journey to the 380 is a meaningless slog. That's pretty much always been the case with Destiny, but this time around they implemented a lot of unnecessary roadblocks to keep people from it as long as possible, which in essence means they're gating off content from people who paid for it until they first do their chores for a few weeks. It's horrible game design.

If your only going to run one character. Then what is the best class and subclass to play Warmind?

Whichever class you enjoy playing the most. They're all viable.

It's horrible game design.

The alternative is an outrageously long and boring XP grind to level up. Or let people run as many raids and endgame activities as they want for unlimited rewards so people can reach max level in a matter of days.

I'm not sure what you're asking for? The way things are right now - there is an incentive to come back every week and run a few raids. That's a pretty good endgame to me.

Err stupid question, but do the chests marked on the map respawn, as in they where greyes out and now they are not ?
I just saw a bunch of those on the EDZ map and was what the fuck ?

Appart from that I'm not a raider or anything that requires a mic, but are the Mercury epic adventures comparable to the heroic strikes difficulty wise ?

Why does the alternative to shitty game design have to be more shitty game design? Why not just add new meaningful difficult content that rewards the player with a chance of getting meaningful cool armor/weapons/vanity items? Again, they work at the company that employs Blizzard. Use their knowledge. Instead Bungie continues to have players level up without making that process meaningful in any way. How many RPGs do you play that task you with leveling up without giving you new abilities? It's dumb.

The heroic strikes are difficult until you hit about level 360. Epic adventures continue to be difficult when you're at max light level. Bring friends. The difference being that you can run adventures alone and die a lot and the enemies won't regain health. There's also timers involved in the adventures.

I mean, we'd all love more and more new content of course. But right now, we have 3 different raid activities, a pretty good Nightfall setup, the challenge of Escalation Protocol and additionally your weekly milestones for Strikes, Crucible and Public Events to complete each week which have purpose.

As I said, we'd all love more new content, but as a weekly incentive to log in and play to progress your content, Destiny hasn't been so good for a long time.

The one that is your favorite to play.

If someone hasn't played since the go-fast update, maybe Dawnblade? I feel like that's the one that got the most buffs to its playability in the update and roaming supers are fun in story missions.

Do you mean Cayde's chests? The ones with a Spade symbol? If so, they disappear once you've found them.
Hmm, no ? I'm not sure as I'm a relative noob and just finished CoO, but the classic chests that appears on the map along with forgotten sectors. I could have sworn I had the EDZ sweeped clean and now I have 4-5 icon on the map.

What makes chests/resources appear on the radar? I mean the radar, not icons on the world. They show up sometimes, but I can't figure out what's making them appear. I haven't used any scout reports, or got a ghost that does it (unless it's a hidden effect.)

Heroic Strikes are super doable and incredibly fun if you have at least one friend and a plan to get through it. Exodus Crash still needs a rework but the challenge and satisfaction of overcoming it is just so good.

They're less fun solo, of course.

End of "story" spoiler:
"I am Rasputin, I have no equal" uhhh? How do they think they can get away with bigging up Rasputin as some super powerful being when we just had to save its dumb ass?
