"Exclusive looks and deep dives"

This reads like we won't be getting short traditional gameplay demos. And more like long form dev commentary talking over gameplay about mechanics, world, characters....etc...

Be interesting to see how Sony's decides to structure this.

I'm really worried about Dreams... It is really weird about not been on the showcase.

Even if it was in the older format, I wouldn't have put any money in Dreams being given an equal spotlight to those 4 games.

Just as how I knew in my gut that Sony was not going to have a Gravity Rush 2 trailer on their E3 stage, and would rather drop it randomly on their YouTube page.

Sony will sweep even their own first-party titles under the rug if it's not the kind of presentation they're going for.

I'm excited to see all 4 games. Even though we just got exclusive coverage of Spidey I'm still pumped to see more gameplay. I want to see him traverse the open world on his way to a mission and I wanna see that mission play out in about 10 minutes of gameplay.

Death Stranding is the biggest mystery to me, we're all hyped because it's Kojima but if I'm being honest those trailers were just plain weird and didn't really get my hyped. His pedigree however justifies my interest in the game and I know it's going to be some legendary shit that gets shown off.

Ghost of Tsushima is my 3rd most hype out of these games. Love Sucker Punch and I'm really excited to see what they can put together gameplay wise in one of my favorite settings. I'm not amongst those that want it to be grounded, I don't care if it is but I also wouldn't mind if it had some sort of super natural element to it.

Last but not least TLOUp2 is my most anticipated. The first game sits amongst my favorites of all time, probably top 10. I know it's going to be breathtaking visually and I expect the tech they use to drop jaws. What I want to see however is how they've advanced the gameplay mechanics. The melee combat in the original was brutal and intense, I want that improved upon even more so. I want more crafting, a variety of weapons to use, different enemy types. We all know how good ND is at presentation so I'm mainly hyped about the gameplay changes they've made.

In terms of 3rd party surprises I would love DMC 5, Shadows Die Twice reveal, Rocksteady new IP reveal.

I'm still amazed that Death Stranding is seemingly aiming to be a 2019 title.

As in, that's a fucking good turnaround considering that it was only in late 2015 when Kojima went independent and in mid-2016 when he finally chose Decima Engine (Kojima is usually fast with his games iirc despite the fame -that was mainly the Fox Engine stuff-, but still).

'Souls-like' or nah? ;)

What people consider to be 'souls-like' now has become so much of a blanket term that that's a bit of a hard question to answer. I can say it's not going to be Demon's Souls adjacent and thats about it in terms of gameplay. You're probably not going to see another set of games that can be as tightly knit together as Demons>Dark>Blood. But its still going to be a Fromsoft game, so take that as you will.

Thought last we heard From was doing an open world reimagining of Kuon. Or at least something in a similar world.
