that was probably a negotiating tactic on Fox's part. Or WB got really desperate. Or both.
I'm thinking it'll show up again again Brooklyn's (Fox) finale in 2 weeks.
Every time there's a show like this I'm reminded that The 4400 was killed and I get sad again.
Does this mean that Gotham won't get a full 20 episodes? What if the ratings for this final season are ridiculous high? What happens then?

Shows that know they are going out tend to finish strong imo (ie Fringe season 5)

What were Fringe's ratings in its fifth season? I've forgotten, actually. It's been a while. (Five years, geez. Time does fly...)
I just remember that show was on the verge of being canceled and was about to be canceled and they were given like a 10 episode final season and each episode was heavy and great.
