One Piece 904

Looks like they're preparing to invade Celestial Dragons and my gut told me otherwise that they're gonna to lose in a couple of next chapters, but who knows?

BHA I've been shitting on this school band stuff from the begining, but I gotta say, this was a good climax that even put joy into my cycnical heart!

Black Clover Theories pretty much confirmed and new questions popping up.[/b]

One Piece Meh. I've never been too into the revolutionary army stuff outside of Dragon who must be a weird guy givin how fucking weird Luffy is. Though maybe not. Nurture> Nature and Dragon might just be a stick in the mud.

Dr Stone You go Chrome!

Dr. Stone

I get the reasoning for the cell phone being important, but I keep thinking it's still in their best interest to pull this on Tsukasa (Senku is Dennis)

Count me in on team GUN.

Dr Stone

Chrom you dummy you could've just made more magnifying glasses

I was wondering what the proper answer was

One Piece ch804

It was about time for the Revolutionaries to do something, after all the build-up.

My Hero Academia ch182

Pretty flashy finish to the arc. It's nice that their efforts paid off.

Shokugeki no Soma ch262

It's finally over. Just too bad the rest of the hall didn't get stripped down.

One Piece 904

Maximum Oda is introducing 3 completely different looking male characters, and one female character that looks like Nami who smokes and has her shirt open so you can see her boobs.

Note: Black Clover is a super generic Fairy Tail derivative.

My Hero Academia is a lot better for a shonen if you aren't already readin git.

DANGER Both have good parts and bad parts. Hero Academia has a very strong start and stellar art but recently its been kinda cool with its last big arc id even say being kinda bad. Still that said, lot of good manga before that. Black Clover conversely takes a while to find its stride but its recently been a lot of fun and if you dont mind simpler shonen beat em ups you can find plenty to enjoy in it.

I like both

Edit- When I say new hotness anything in like the last year.

The Lies of Sheriff Evans

5 chapters in I'm enjoying it. It reminds me of a manga I was reading when the hero, was looking for a wife. It ended quickly, with him marrying his sister who wasn't his sister.

Okay, the expressions in this are great. Excited to see more from the both of them.

I'm watching MHA, is there a huge difference between the anime and manga? I know that people love the art in the manga, but I feel the anime is pretty close. And other than the long recaps from the previous episodes, I've been enjoying it. Though I wouldn't mind reading it from the beginning if it seems worth it.

BG art is mediocre on both, the art for the heroes are excellent on both, the real difference is that Horikoshi likes to make the villains with a lot of details and it doesn't translate well into the anime. But the anime has a very good soundtrack to compensate.

Tokyo Ghoul fans, how has the manga been recently? I'm a chapter 82 getting caught up to a years work. I'm gonna continue either way since it one of my favorite manga, but I just want to know how everybody's feeling about it.

Edit: And I just reminded myself why I should never visit wiki's while getting caught up

You're talking about :re I take ? From what I can tell there's a fairly broad feeling that it started to decline in quality, somewhere round the parts where you're currently. I'd say it's a mixed bag with some good arcs and some of the highest points of the manga still before you. that are however marred by some really illogical events taking place and especially in the fighting chapters, lots of pointless death scares, cliffhangers and things that were poorly or not at all set up. I think the pacing is sort of a problem too in that it robs many side characters of screentime they're in sore need of. But overall, if you're already a fan I think you'll enjoy it, especially since you're binging it and that'll probably fix some of the issues.

Finally this arc is over. It was almost worth it for the hilarious expressions and foodgasms we got this chapter.

I don't understand how each Fujiwara/Prez chapter can be even better than the previous.

There has to be limit to how high they can go.

MHA 182

I can't say I cared much for any arc since Afo but this chapter is such a superb treat that it warrants comment. Even with the unfinished art (rip Horikoshi) and the mundane setup of school festival, far from any high stakes or flashy battles, it does three separate things it sets out to do really well and the third it clinches so superbly in but a few panels that it made me break down a bit. Respect.

Hmm, it really does go downhill from there. Like there's certainly bits here and there that I really like, but especially beginning with the Yakuza arc, I just feel a lot more meh towards this series.

As for this arc, I was starting to really like Gentle, but also feel that he got "taken" away from us too quickly.

Occam's Razor would say just the general wear and tear of Jump's vicious work cycle.

I'm glad it was pretty short tbh. I'd rather an arc that didn't overstay its welcome than something that went on and on like that Yakuza arc.

It's a lose-lose situation for me personally, because these short arcs don't do all that much for me. A longer arc is riskier I suppose, especially if another one is anything like the Yakuza one. But I always felt like MHA still needs a solid, grandiose arc, something that clearly matches up to its contemporaries. As it is now, if I were to grade it (Yakuza arc aside), it's never risen above a B for me.

MHA is at it's best with it's short, brisk arcs. All the best arcs early on are like that after all. More like this please.

The idea that mha NEEDS a longer arc doesn't make sense. Tons of shonen manga have good and bad arcs that go from short to stupidly long. I'd argue on average longer arcs are generally worse then shorter ones in these kinds of series.
