New Warriors will be Freeform, Disneyflix (or whatever they decide to call it) or Hulu is my prediction. Runaways was pretty popular on Hulu and depending on Cloak & Dagger ratings I could see it on Freeform.

Meanwhile, every single Marvel ABC show has had awfully abysmal ratings.

Was it really? I don't recall seeing much marketing for Runaways, and it didn't really seem to break out beyond the hardcore comic book crowd (like the Marvel Netflix shows did). Even the official @MarvelsRunaways Twitter account has only 28k followers. I know it got renewed though.

Confirmed: 'Marvel's Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.' Renewed For Season 6 By ABC

No word on the episode count or if it's set up as a final season within the article.

EDIT: THR says:

YES, this is why I was totally chilling

22 eps just really seem to drag out shows nowadays. Well, 13 does give them a finale to work with, then.

I'm really sick of 22 eps series.. they just have so much dumb content that's filler. I'd prefer more short-run series for variety as well.

AoS is literally the only show I've ever watched that genuinely makes proper use of those 20+ episodes. Everything else though I agree.

Yeah, 13 episodes is a sign that this will be the last season.

It's cool we'll get to see the aftermath of Infinity War on SHIELD, though.

Can't fucking wait.

Agents of SHIELD continuing? Well, dreams don't always come true I guess.

What is it like being so petty

Shield only getting 13 episodes for Season Six means that the show is gonna get
another 13 episodes for Season Seven on DSS

It was instantly renewed for a second season while it was still airing and Hulu normally waits months after a show has finished airing to decide to renew or cancel.

I wanna say the record was 13 and Berlanti had 10 on broadcast TV but now I don't know cause DeadLine updated the article I had originally read to say he has the record of 14 now. Lol.

According to the updated article he has tied the record with 10 on broadcast, and then he has another 4 on various other platforms.

Wasn't the NBC upfront 6 hours ago? How do we still not have news on Timeless?

A massive, game-changing cliffhanger.

Total guess but if they decide to hold it for midseason they could be waiting for the DVR numbers for the finale to fully decide, they have some time!

But it is weird they didn't announce it earlier this afternoon.

Ah okay. I had thought before that it was 13 for the tie and this 14th put him in the lead. So the others had 13 on broadcast and he had 10 but 3 elsewhere. Thanks for clarifying.

No more X-files, huh?
Can't say I'm surprised. After season 10 I didn't even bother to watch season 11, instead I started a rewatch of the series from the beginning (sadly not quite as good as I remember overall so far).

Now is the time for Fox to bring back Fringe! :D

Yeah, from everything I've seen, Anderson made it pretty clear she didn't want to do more after this season, and I imagine that played a hand in it, critical reception or not.

as one of the three people who liked Season 2 better than the first, I'd be on board

I'm right there with you. Season 2 >>> Season 1.

The villain was great, the setting was fun and I enjoyed that it went in a more fantastical and comic book-y direction. The characters were established and their chemistry had grown. Peggy and Jarvis is one of the best pairings in the entire MCU, period.

I learned some things... It's not even out till next month... it's on Freeform (I kept thinking go90 lol)... Freeform is a rebranding of ABC Family... I had no idea 0_o Chances of eps showing up on Hulu/Hulu TV look ok though?

Is FOX late? Deadline said on their upfront live blog at 3:58 PM Eastern that the upfront was about to start but 32 minutes later there are no updates?

I think the big issue for me with season 2 was...Jason? Was that his name? The scientist guy who got phase shifted. Peggy's relationship with him never really felt earned or developed enough to get the attention it got. But I liked the rest of the season.

Freeform isn't really ABC Family, it is a rebranding yes but the reason they changed names is because their programming isn't really "for families", they have TV-14 and TV-MA rated programming and most of their programming is aimed towards young adults.

The pilots they've been ordering the past couple years aren't the same type of shows you'd see on ABC Family (like TV-PG sitcoms).

That 1 min trailer is what Freeform rebranding is about. It's more comparable to MTV but with scripted programming instead of reality shows than ABC Family. And actually Freeform advertises all of their shows with Hulu so yes you'd be able to watch Cloak & Dagger on Hulu.

They say something like "Watch Show on Freeform, the FreeForm app or the Hulu app, everywhere and anywhere you watch Freeform." in all of their marketing and episodes are available on Hulu the next day.

I'm with you on this. I thouroughly enjoyed Season 2 more. And I'm always secretly hoping for a third season, especially after I rewatched The First Avenger the other day and was reminded of how good Hayley Atwell's acting and screen presence is.

"With 10 shows, producer Greg Berlanti and his Berlanti Prods. last year tied the record for most series on the air at the same time previously set by Aaron Spelling and Jerry Bruckheimer. There was an asterisk — all of Spelling and Buckheimer series were on broadcast, while Berlanti Prods. had 8 broadcast series, two on cable/streaming. The asterisk has now been erased as Berlanti has set a new record with 14 live-action scripted series — all dramas — 10 of them on broadcast".

Interesting. I was out of the loop on this :x Looks like Freeform is on Hulu tv (skimmed through since I had no idea what it was...) The show listing still includes tons of Disney stuff, but I do see that teen MTV-style.

Well, looks like I can watch it now!

It started around the time of your post, it's trickling out a little bit at the moment!

First story out of there is that Jennifer Love Hewitt is joining 9-1-1.

Is there any chance of getting news on Always Sunny here? It said there would be an FX/FXX segment during the upfront and I thought Always Sunny was supposed to come back in Fall (read somewhere they started filming in April?), it's been like a year and a half without the show now (or at least that's what it feels like).

Reading through some tweets, it seems possible! It's definitely due some news after the huge hiatus!

Looking forward to watching it tonight! As another poster mentioned, NBC may be waiting for DVR ratings. There was a post earlier today quoting the network head saying they haven't made a decision on it yet.

Yeah, Jason Wilkes. I liked him as a character but I understand what you mean.

Personally, I just want them to bring Enver Gjokaj to AoS. He can just play the cop he played in the original Avengers and they can pretend he's a relative of Sousa.

(Anything to get that guy on AoS.)

I'm with you on this. I thouroughly enjoyed Season 2 more. And I'm always secretly hoping for a third season, especially after I rewatched The First Avenger the other day and was reminded of how good Hayley Atwell's acting and screen presence is.

I think my favorite episode was when Peggy and Jarvis were stranded and arguing with each other for the first real time. They're so good together.

Oh god, I'm reading tweets from people at the upfront and FOX said "Welcome to the New Fox Upfront presentation." at the beginning.

Not even bought by Disney yet and talking about New Fox (network focused on sports, reality shows and news after Disney deal goes through).
