Yeah, Jason Wilkes. I liked him as a character but I understand what you mean.

Personally, I just want them to bring Enver Gjokaj to AoS. He can just play the cop he played in the original Avengers and they can pretend he's a relative of Sousa.

(Anything to get that guy on AoS.)

Ah, Enver. He was great. His character put up with so much crap in Agent Carter. What's he even up to nowadays?

Oh god, I'm reading tweets from people at the upfront and FOX said "Welcome to the New Fox Upfront presentation." at the beginning.

Not even bought by Disney yet and talking about New Fox (network focused on sports and news after Disney deal goes through).

New Fox, where Tim Allen and football devours all in their path.

Edit: Speak of the devil, he just went on stage when I posted that, haha.

FOX welcoming Tim Allen on stage to talk about Last Man Standing, a comedy show for "New Fox" (and they keep repeating this term over and over again), a channel that will reach the youngest demographic of all network channels.

Fox should've started doing more eSports and things, if they really want that younger demo.

They are now showing a trailer for The Cool Kids, Charlie Day's new multi-cam comedy airing on FOX. (MORE SHOWS TO STOP ALWAYS SUNNY. LIFE IS UNFAIR.)

Toby Stephens, Keeley Hawes, Linus Roache & Timothy Spall Lead BBC Two Cold War Drama 'Summer Of Rockets'

The series follows Samuel (Stephens), a 40-something Russian Jewish émigré, inventor and designer of bespoke hearing aids, whose clients include former Prime Minister Sir Winston Churchill. The drama follows Samuel and his family, wife Miriam and children Hannah and Sasha, as he is approached by MI5 to demonstrate his work.

It is not his inventions the operatives require, however. Instead Samuel is tasked with the secret mission of obtaining information about his charming, newly acquired friends Kathleen (Hawes) and her husband Richard Shaw MP (Roache) through whom Samuel also meets the impressive Lord Arthur Wallington (Spall).

The only thing FOX will be airing on Thursday is football and "football will help boost Last Man Standing" on Friday. New Fox is committed to sports.

They are done talking about the Fall FOX Network lineup, now they are doing a full segment on "New Fox Sports". I just want them to get to the cable channel segment really.

New Fox is introducing sports gambling apparently. "You can now bet on your sports on New Fox."

I'm not there, just following tweets.

It started around the time of your post, it's trickling out a little bit at the moment!

First story out of there is that Jennifer Love Hewitt is joining 9-1-1.

Replacing Connie Britton. That's one way to go.

This is hilarious, especially when combined with that previous tweet.

Really wish I could watch this. lol

Saaaaaaaame (but like you forgot to include Keeley Hawes, she's amazing). But then I read "Stephen Poliakoff" and now I'm not hyped.

I haven't watched any of his previous stuff, is it not so hot?

Keeley Hawes is awesome, I did forget to mention her! I haven't seen her in a ton, but I liked her a lot in High-Rise and Ashes to Ashes (which I've been meaning to rewatch someday soon!).

They do know LMS is going to increase their average age demo quite a bit, right?

He has written The Lost Prince that won an Emmy, and tons of other acclaim, and was a smash in the ratings. So it's not like he's a bad writer. But he does have a very distinct style and he's unable to tone it down even when he really should, so some of his work just doesn't gel for me. And since he's handed blank cheques for his shows which he both writes and directs, he has no incentive to tone it down. It's a bit like Hugo Blick who also has a very distinct style but I adore that style so some things that might not work for others work for me.

Watch Line of Duty, it's the best police drama over the last years (and as an added bonus it's only 5-6 episodes per series) and she is gobsmackingly good in it.

Oh my... "FOX Unscripted" segment, going to talk a while about The Four, Love Connection and Beat Shazam.

Unscripted is important to New Fox "to get the younger demographic".

They're leaving FX for the end aren't they ;-; they honestly could've done this upfront in 30 minutes if they didn't spend literally almost an entire hour on sports.

It's been sitting on my Netflix list for forever and I have been completing stuff at a decent clip on there, I'll make Line of Duty my next one!

And to give you a heads up, she's in series 2 onwards, but the first series is still absolute top tier stuff with great performances. And it's the single most intense show on TV, like I got cold sweats from what in any other show would have been your every day interview/interrogation scene. It's so good.

The worst timeline :(

Edit: More tweets alleviated the concern a little.

Edit 2:

Trailer is up. Friendly reminder for spoiler folks, upfront trailers usually spoil the whole pilot.

The FOX Upfront is over and they didn't say anything about FX, they normally talk about their cable networks during their upfront.

It seemed like the only thing they spent any time on was sports, news, live TV and reality TV and after talking about that for like two hours it was like "oh before we go here's some clips of our scripted TV" on our fox network.

That was one of the worst upfronts I've ever followed. The silver lining is the upfront trailers are here.

They're basically just going for syndication.
I don't think that's true. The syndication market has all but dried up.

Michael Schur said:
[...] the way that the world is moving in part because of Netflix, Amazon, Hulu – and it used to be that you did that many episodes in a season because there is this mad dash to 100. One-hundred was the magic number to get to syndication. Now it's less. The syndication market kind of doesn't exist, what does exist is Hulu and Amazon and Netflix. So, they don't care how many episodes you have they just pay you per episode. So, it's less important that you do so many so quickly. It's more important that you make them good.
