Reposting from the trailer thread-

In the book, when Amy gets picked up, she isn't in the system. The super secret project is super secret, so all subjects are chosen because they don't have friends/family to wonder where they are or what is happening to them.

I get that part, I'm more confused on whether the little girl is the only viable candidate. Trailer sort of makes it seem that way with the "can one girl save humanity?" text but other parts of the trailer make it seem like she was selected at random and could be replaced. And the actual footage shows Zack Morris rescuing her before she's ever infected in the first place. I guess what I want to know, is the manhunt purely about silencing them / preventing their secret group from being exposed, or do they truly need that little girl because she has unique DNA or something.

To be honest this trailer got me more interested in the books than the actual show. But at least I'm curious about it, that's much more than I can say for all the other bland pilot trailers so far.

I don't know how to feel about this.
"#directedby ClayneCrawford" seems petty as hell though.

If Crawford was the problem that he's alleged to be, then it's WB's fault for allowing him to direct any episodes. Something doesn't add up.. it's like handing the car keys to your problem child.

The fact that Wayans can't take the W and move on is just as crazy. It looks like he shut down his Twitter account unless I'm searching wrong.

Uhhhhh. Yet again, BBC America uses L+3 but Killing Eve keeps doing it's thing. It ticked up in both total viewers and demo week on week.
Seems like that show is supposed to be good, but I just can't bring myself to watch it. With all the focus apparently on a serial killer, it seems from outside like it's a show that's just about terrible people being terrible people, and I'm not really interested in watching that. Same reason I never watched Breaking Bad or Dexter.

Dexter flailed in the end, but Breaking Bad.. so much fun. It's much more complex than you're making it, and in a good way.

Not sure if posted but ABC's primetime schedule has leaked (via email) ahead of their upfront.

Why are they moving Fresh Off The Boat to Friday at 8 PM? I thought they liked this show?

I'm not crazy about Shark Tank on Sundays still. Really liked it on Friday. Also, I'm slightly worried about their comedies on Friday now but I guess they could be fine.

Nothing does good ratings on Friday on ABC. Notice how literally every show on the list for Friday is either a new day or new time, that's because all the other Friday ones got cancelled.

Very bizarre choice to put Fresh Off The Boat on Friday.

Oh you're right. I wonder if we can expect this to be the final seasons for those comedies. I think I remember a few years ago that the comedies that started there died pretty quick. I know at least Cristela did. Fresh Off The Boat getting moved is especially surprising

Still no word on New Warriors?
According to Deadline, ABC's upfront today at 4 PM Eastern will apparently be half ABC-half Freeform (so in the very very slim chance that New Warriors can land at Freeform for 2019 midseason/January, it's possible).

But no, still no word on New Warriors. I don't think it will be on ABC. Hulu or Disney's streaming service is possible but they won't talk about that during the upfronts.

Both of the comedies that will be on ABC's Fridays, Fresh Off the Boat and Speechless, are produced by 20th Century Fox. So that could have something to do with pairing them on the death night.

[edit] I have to wait until summer for Agents of SHIELD?? So they're not even going to live in a post-IW world before Avengers 4 comes out? Uuuuugh

Is it really? People were worried that it wouldn't even get renewed.
I was under the impression that it was still a decent performer for them and as a veteran show would have a good chance of staying at the time slot it already had. But maybe since its going on season 5, ABC feels more comfortable shifting it to another night for a comedy block.

If the Summer 2019 stuff is true, I wonder if Disney is just trying to keep SHIELD alive long enough to eventually move it over to their streaming service (launching fall 2019). That's really the only motivation I could see for Disney fighting so hard to keep it on air.

Likely trying to spearhead a return to TGIF. The best way to do that would've been to move Roseanne, IMO. But they won't risk it.

In a just world, "Last Man Standing" would tank and it'd be pulled after a couple episodes.

But, considering we don't live in one, it'll probably get higher-than-average numbers as Allen doubles down on the MAGA troll aspects.

Is Saturday Night Football referring to college? Or did the NFL stretch itself even thinner and schedule regular Saturday games now?

the TGIF line up from my youth
Are those the only shows that had success on Friday nights in the history of tv? For a while now I've seen Fridays as the exit ramp.

Didn't the show Reba have pretty good success on Friday nights for WB? I don't think it was there its entire run but I'm pretty sure it moved there for a while and reached its conclusion without cancellation.
