Are they still going to do the "build-a-Hogwarts" sets?

I guess that second set could be the first part but it's hard to tell.

Wow, that's a really good train. Looks like the coal cart could be motorized to push it along? It's just a shame that it's all early movies, I want a new Luna figure. Maybe later.

There is about a 99% chance that my wife, who has refused to buy any Lego in like 2 or 3 years, will break and buy all of the Harry Potter sets.

I cannot wait for the day.

It seems to be repackaged Boost - at least they call it a SmartHub and you get coding support in the app later.
The difference is the 2nd motor is extracted from the hub and you lose the sensor. And swap Batman minifig with license for 500 bricks (Boost has 800+ this 300+)
Probably only replaceable batteries - due to ease of access seen in the video, the rear flap to pull the hub out

I've been a lot calmer with big sets this last year or so. They've released so many I want that I've accepted that I'd never be able to buy them all (for storage reasons if nothing else) and that's actually translated into buying barely any of them.

Yep me too.

I started getting back into Lego last year, and I've bought more big sets this year than last year already and I have to just say no to a ton of sets.

They keep coming out with more stuff that I want. Ninjago City and Docks, Rollercoaster, Ferris Wheel, Merry Go Round, Lego Disney Castle, Bugatti Chiron, the new train sets, Mack Anthem.

I'll probably only get the new train sets from that lot, but thats already A$400-500. Not getting Ninjago City was the big one - that set looks amazing. The Rollercoaster is cool but I think its only a must get if you have a big city layout with space for it and want a theme park. I'll probably end up getting the Disney Castle but its really expensive in Australia (A$500) and its Lego store exclusive.

Does anyone have the Mack truck technic set? I've been building it with a friend, and we're wondering what's up with the turn radius. It'll turn fine all the way to the right, but gets hung up on something going to the left. This is the first true technic set he's built and it's so much different than a regular brick set.

Hopefully, something involving minifigs, payload vehicles and control point playsets.

Hopefully, NOT something involving buildable figures like those awful Star Wars ones.

Question: Is the Ferris Wheel likely to stick around for the rest of the year? And either way, would we have decent warning before it slips out of print? The Coaster has me considering buying into that theme, but I want to be sure I can justify it in terms of space first, and would prefer to pick it up near the holidays if I could, I think.

Managed to get Ninjago City, Destiny's Bounty and Garmadon for 30% off at TRU today. I dunno if I had good timing or what, but there were 3 or 4 Destiny's Bounty when I walked it and none by the time I left.

I'm super stoked about Ninjago City especially.

They also had the Taj Mahal for 30% off. They must be getting shipments from online stock.

That's a great price. TRU in US I take it? The TRU's in Australia just went into administration, but there haven't been any words of sales that I know of.

Man, new Mos Eisley is really bad. I mean it is okay only if an adult needs a small set to show how obsessed they are with Han shooting first, otherwise...ouch. I'm just glad I didn't pay full price.

Since I moved abroad a few months ago I haven't really purchased any Lego at all. Today I said "fuck it" and went to Toys R Us (which is alive and well in Europe). Bought two CMF, one from the Batman movie and one from the new series. Since I don't have a single one from before I didn't really care what I got, but in the end I got Beach Alfred and Brick Girl. I'm quite happy with the result. I was debating what set to pick up, I didn't want anything too expensive or big since I'm moving home soon enough and it would be difficult to bring with me. I ended up getting one of those creativity-boxes which allows me to tinker with whatever during my downtime.

I also got to see Ninjago Docks and the new 3-in-1 rollercoaster (along with a bunch of other sets I haven't seen before) and they both look a lot better than I expected.

So finally building the UCS Y-Wing, damn that detailing in the middle part is fucking phenomenal. Pictures don't do it detail.

Got a Barnes and Noble gift card as a gift, used part of it to get the Solo blue speeder from the beginning of the movie. (as a member, they gave me 10% off, too).

While only two minifigs (and a hound which ends up looking more cute than menacing in Lego form), the speeder build is legit interesting - asymmetrical, sideways building and bottom building, greebling in full force, and captures much of the details of the original movie vehicle. The front hood is removable and has some play features inside.

Han's speeder is excellent, nice to see another positive review. It's got great detail for a small set, and as you said, the asymmetrical design lends to a unique build.

I really love how the front hood makes room not just for mechanical engine components but for storage of tools and ammo. The small scale is utilized so well.

Honestly, though I haven't bought as many sets as last year, I could easily see it sneaking onto my end of year top 10.

The speeders (both of them) are this movie's Rey's speeder. Neat design, hardly shows up in the movie.

I might grab one of the later sets, but the first wave is dull to me. Might pick up a TIE just to have one, at least once they go on sale.

The smaller Star Wars movie vehicles are some of my favorite ones of their line lately.

I remember being really impressed with Rey's speeder set. Her minifig was great, and the build had a nice amount of details for the price.
