I have friends in LA and all they have been posting is about the extreme heat down there. Chill out dudes.
This is a little embarrassing to admit, but that "hotter than the sun" thread is one of the ones I missed the most. I always enjoyed bitching about the LA heat with fellow Gaffers.
And yes it's been pretty awful lately. Thankfully my parents recently built a new house that has central a/c, so I've been hanging out there a lot.
Glad you made it here!! *high fives*This was the same shit heat we had about 2 years ago I remember BBQing in December and Christmas was like in the high 80's
What's up LA Era! If ya wanna support a fellow member, please go visit Side Chick (one of top 10 new restaurants in 2017 according to GQ!), Matcha Matcha & Monkey Bar at Westfield Santa Anita. I'm one of the guys behind all 3 =P
We got some damn good food and drinks fosho.
I started tha thread in that other place. It's good to see it back.Continuation of the LA weather thread from the old site.
It's been triple digits the past few days. In late October. 93 right now and that's our coolers days. Looking forward to finally wearing my scarf next week.

Edit: oops thought this was LA in general
Oh wow, that's a bummer. Hopefully it's just a sprinkle. Nice to have some rain after all this heat, but it coulda picked another day lol.
No longer in China? I'll check out Side Chick next time I am around the area (sitting on a plane to China now, so it will be awhile). I pass by Side Chick a lot, and always think about going there, but I usually don't like Hainanese Chicken. I'll try it due to your post. What's up LA Era! My god of course not.I hope you didn't mind me starting the thread!
I still remember when it rained pretty hard a couple Halloweens back. I went to the WeHo Carnival and it was a shit show.
Temperatures soared into the 90s across a large swath of Southern California in an autumn heat wave that peaked Wednesday. It seems those turkeys won't be the only things roasting on Thanksgiving Day.
Many parts of the region hit new records for the day including downtown L.A. at 92 degrees, LAX at 92, Long Beach at 96, UCLA at 95, Woodland Hills at 93 and Oxnard at 97.
Mother Nature will be serving one of the hottest Thanksgivings on record in Southern California, with potentially record-breaking temperatures 25 degrees above normal, said Joe Sirard, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Oxnard.
I'm kind of sad I'm going to be missing out on this weather since I'm spending the long weekend in Portland (yay rain).
