Verdict is.......................

YES he qualifies for the list.

It is kinda cannon that he's a bit of a perv :p

Plus there was that backstage segment where he was cheering on Taguchi for trying to sexually assault Miho. And then Taichi cut a promo calling them old perverts, and the awkward realisation that Taichi's actually a good guy, maybe?

Here's the thing: Enzo wasn't fired because of the accusation. He was fired because he didn't tell anyone. You can't do that, you've left the company open to something with no defense. That means you're a liability to the company. Depressing as it is, this was just the excuse to fire the guy. They'd never bring him back. He's not likable in the locker rooms, the fans don't love him enough for it to be a major boon to have him return.

He was an asshole and he was accused of rape. I don't find anything depressing about this.

What is the deal with Dakota Kai?

She feels like a total nobody to me and giving her a literally afraid of Shayna gimmick is comically silly.

Is there a cut off for folks with horrible beliefs?

So weird. But LGTB stuff never really came up growing up. I never recall anyone being bullied for being gay or looking "gay." Ever. Maybe I just didn't grow up around major assholes of that kind.

It's depressing because they probably would've stood by him through the trial if he'd given them the heads up. Rich Swann wasn't allowed to work but he wasn't fired until the case finished. Enzo got the fuck out 'cause they just wanted him gone.

Happened all the time in my school. People grow up in some pretty shit environments and it takes meeting people and significant cultural events to break out of the mindset those environments breed.

Barack Obama didn't support same sex marriage until he did and nobody even remembers he didn't.
There is a world of difference between referring to other human beings as "it" and not politically supporting gay marriage in my book.

Once you start dehumanizing other people, even if you are a young adult, you make my list.

Did Rich Swann inform WWE of the problem? If so, then he's in the clear. Enzo didn't tell anyone, and left WWE to find out for themselves on the day before the biggest Wrestlemania press day.

My cut off is typically like... You can be a general asshole, just don't do any of the following
  • Anti LGBTQ
  • Misogyny/Sexism
  • Racism
  • Mental health ignorance/down playing
  • Sexual assault
  • Pedophilia
  • Anti vax
  • harmful conspiracy beliefs (Sandy Hook)
I tried to make it as blanket as possible.

As long as he takes it back I'm going to forgive Johnny for something he said when he was in his early 20s. People think and say awful things when they are young.

The inability to forgive people for things is itself a serious character flaw, in my opinion.

Seems fair to me!

There is no "but different views" on that shit for me.

I can only speak for myself, but eight years ago I was 20 and I know for a fact that I spoke problematically back then.

Of course, I cleaned up my act and I'm not offering up any excuses, but people can definitely learn and grow.
I thank my lucky stars I didn't grow up in the social media era.

People can and do come back from bad opinions and even being bad people. You're just wrong if you think people can't be redeemed. 8 years is a long time and lots of people have said and done bad things but made up for it.

It makes me sad you think a a bad opinion made in someone's early 20s is literally unforgivable under any circumstance (assuming he doesn't think that now). He's a person. People say and do dumb things.

If you looked back at how we used to talk about WWE Divas here (really the old forum), yeah folks can change.

Too bad he didn't feel the need to treat others like people.

It makes me sad how easily you can dismiss such a huge dehuminazing comment as "he was 22, people say dumb things at 22."
But they do. If he doesn't feel that way now, I think he can and should be forgiven.

You can't ask people to not be stuck in their ways if you aren't willing to do the same.

She's very good in the ring and was very well liked on the indies.

She's not a terrible candidate to eventually dethrone Shayna actually.
I don't think they'll have Dakota dethrone Shayna. It seems like Kairi is being built up for that honor. There is more history there with the Mae Young Classic 2 coming up as well. Shayna is likely getting called up soon after Brooklyn this year to work with Ronda or reinforce the heel side on Smackdown. I can see Shayna being sent packing by Dakota, but I don't see her winning the title from her (Shayna).

Also:

They job Dakota out in fairly short fashion to Shayna in this set of tapings. She put up more of a fight, but it seems like they are moving on with Dakota and Shayna now.

I can forgive awful opinions as long as the person in question shows contrition and remorse, but I would still think less of them for ever being so ignorant tbh.

Like with Ospreay, he's a fucking idiot but at least he asked for the issue to be explained to him, apologised profusely when he realised he was in the wrong and donated to a domestic abuse charity. Not sure what more could be asked of him, but some will never forgive him it seems.

Trawling through youtube for Dusty promos and there sure are a lot of variations of "Honky Tonk Man SHOOTS on Dusty Rhodes", all from different interviews, all terrible, all typical whiny Honky Tonk Man bullshit. Is there any other dude in pro-wrestling with such an over-inflated opinion of his worth? Other than Disco "I was a draw" Inferno, of course.

Also, Honky must be the only dude to accuse Dusty of working stiff. I dunno, maybe he did. Maybe he just didn't like Honky :p

Disco is basically Future Honky. Honky sees himself when he looks at Disco. It's going to play out like that.

Also lines up - I enjoyed the shit out of HTM shitty matches, knew he could go better - same with Disco.

No! Not Johnny Wrestling! :(

Shit.

It's eight years old. When Aiii said you can't escape that shit...that's what he meant. It'll come up. What matters is how he feels NOW.

If nothing else everyone who gets even the modicum level of fame should blast their twitters into oblivion and start fresh.

What's interesting about Dakota/Shayna right now is that shit's almost too fucking real. I have a friend who has been in a very abusive relationship with her previous gf and she said it makes her beyond uncomfortable how these two are acting and she doesn't want to watch it, period. Like, it's VERY bad for her. So while Shayna is doing awesome looking like a threatening abusive bully, well...shit's too real for some.

I'm not dismissing anything. I'm saying you don't suddenly go from cool guy to horrible person because someone unearthed something you said 8 years ago in a country where gay marriage wasn't legal and trans issues were not understood or talked about in the mainstream.

So many people already going with the typical MRA rhetoric over this fucking thing

Edit:

And they've made it to POST Forums as well:
Yeah, that's about right. Unfortunately for Enzo, this happened during the height of the #metoo fad where in the court of SJW Injustice, anyone with a vagina is automatically telling the truth and anyone with a penis was suspect.

Heres hoping.

Wasn't afraid to admit I was weirded out by trans people when I was younger/in my early 20s, I didn't understand it but I matured and picked up some understanding and empathy along the way so I know its possible.

It's pretty funny how much faith people have in this Dakota storyline when NXT has pretty much spun its wheels regarding the women's division since Asuka won the belt.
