Let's, for a minute, forget what will most likely happen.

Would you all want Marvel to follow through 100% on every death in IW?
Would you turn to alternate dimensions or legacy heroes when it comes to upcoming sequels?

Curious how you would want it to be handled if the deaths were permanent. And what's the most realistic option, if they were to follow through on those deaths.

I'm pretty much over the modern pop culture need to have characters in order to establish stakes or significance in the story. So, I really don't care at all whether they somehow rectify the deaths from IW or let a significant chunk of them stick. It's all in the execution.

I'm still thinking we're looking at an alternate dimension solution in Avengers 4 that will help lead into the next phase of MCU films. That could be a pretty clean way to allow the deaths to stick in the current dimension and to wrap up the 3-phase arc using the 6 original avengers + Ant-Man + Nebula + Captain Marvel. They can continue on with the "new" Avengers in the alternate dimension.

Please don't split series and movies in different threads. I enjoy just having the one place to go for these. Also it'd just encourage the "tv shows are noncanon" sentiment.

I still watch and enjoy the Netflix stuff. JJ season 2 was alright but I absolutely loved The Punisher and I'm hype for Cage and DD season 3. Have never really had a show kill my interest for other shows.

I find the Netflix shows such a drag. I've tried to watch them multiple times and just can't get into them. The only one I've been able to watch all the way through is JJ and finishing both seasons was an act of attrition at times.

I've said this a billion times now but I just wish each show would have it's own unique tone. You look at something like Winter Soldier or Guardians or Ragnarok or Black Panther, they're all completely and utterly unique to each other but then you look at the Netflix shows and they all feel so damn similar. At this point they just feel like they're on autopilot and none of the writers or directors are told to try something new or deviate from what they've been doing since season 1 of Daredevil.

56 years worth of stories to pick from for Spidey. It's unfathomable. We're still just scratching the surface with the MCU.

(It's also unfathomable that you have the same thing for DC and yet, somehow, they find a way to fuck it up. Like you have to purposely try to make a bad Batman or Superman movie when you look at all the great comics or cartoons over the years. But hey.)

And then as these MCU films get made, you have new stories still being written. The Children of Thanos characters from Infinity War were created in 2013 as Iron Man 3 was being released!

I think they do. DD is gritty in a crimeland/cop drama kind of way, but with superheroics. JJ is also very dark, but in a much more psychological and noir way. LC is actually fairly bright and colorful, and extremely standout as a neoblaxploitation series. IF is a tonal mess, and The Defenders is just a street level superhero show. Pretty plain in that sense.

Haven't watched The Punisher, but I assume it's not far off from your typical gritty shoot'em show.

I just hope the fact that Sony still has the rights doesn't stop Marvel from going all out. I love HS Spidey, I also want to see Spider-Man who is juggling paying his rent, being a hero, and being Peter.

So thinking about the recent rumors, I'm fine with Bullseye not having a costume in DD S3 but he absolutely should wear a black ski mask with the bullseye logo as a nod to the comics for a scene or two.

I do hope we see Rudd on Conan at some point to debut a cool trailer.

Thor has come a long way in the last 365 days, good Lord. Or Odin. Or whatever.

What y'all think Tony Stark's stance on gun control would be?

I doubt we'll ever get Iron Man 4 or Cap 4 but I'd bet my left nut that there's a lot of talks at Marvel right now about getting a Thor 4 after how much people love him now. Even more so with how popular Korg and Valkyrie ended up.

I hope they do end up making another Thor. Speaking about this particular movie series, it's really great how later MCU movies can add depth and nuance to earlier ones retroactively. Back when I was watching Thor 1, Odin's reaction to Thor's youthful recklessness seemed a bit extreme. Not so when you watch Thor: Ragnarok and realize that Odin was afraid he'd see another one of his children plunge the nine realms into chaos like Hela did. Even the spell he puts on Mjolnir makes complete sense, he wants to make sure that if Thor turns out to be another Hela he won't have the power to cause any damage. Awesome stuff. This is why the MCU's shared universe is a big achievement.

So we'd be on the countdown to the Inhumans movie. It would be released in November. Kinda bummed it was dumped to an abc show with no budget. Wish Feige would have commited to it

Is there any chance that Quill could get back his celestial powers? I think they need another protagonist in the MCU that could be on Thor's level as far as power goes. Everyone else has been left in the dust.
