I hope they save Talbot and not kill him, as the clip implies they want to at least try and do.

They made his character too damn interesting and I want to see him continue on.

I don't think they'll pull in Ghost Rider for the final season episode without any context given so far. Peeps be reaching.

Edit. Maybe I forgot about Coulsons deal. Now I'm unsure as well, damnit.

Once series 5 is over we should set up a ERA Rewatch thread for S1-S5 SHIELD and set a binge schedule to pass the year.

This is a great idea. I hate binging (in general) but if we set up some sort of regular schedule (much like Era did for an MCU rewatch prior to IW) then I'd be in. I actually missed the first 5 episodes of Season 5, so I need to catch that on Netflix as soon as it's available.

Well, we do know that Chloe Bennett filmed for an extra day after the wrap party with a "secret person." The actor who plays Robbie was at the wrap party a couple days earlier so it seems like the most likely choice.

But then it doesn't make sense why the scene would just be with Daisy without Coulson, considering the deal.

The "extra" scene could also have been one we've already seen, like the rendezvous with Mack's old friend.

It seems to be that the Ghost Rider spirit would burn through whatever Kree-stuff was keeping Coulson alive.

It had something to do with his old wound. May says "so that was your deal." Prior to that, Coulson says Ghost Rider must've burned through what ever Kree blood that was in his system, the idea that the Kree blood was keeping him alive.

What we do know is that what's killing Coulson isn't the removal of the Kree blood, but Loki's stab wound coming back as if it had been six years since he was originally stabbed. The tissue and organs stabbed by Loki have been dying again.

My assumption is that the deal was something about giving up Coulson's second life, since he tells Daisy not to try and save him as he's lived one unnatural life already. In turn, Ghost Rider also burned through the Kree blood, either to ensure the deal would stick or simply as a side effect.

I'm not sure why but I just felt like watching this moment from S1 again.

Lmao

Also... May needs to wear glasses more. That is all.

Man, I love seeing this thread get bumped, because every time I see it, I'm reminded that we getting a Season 6!

I love how this season has just gone all in on May being the CQC expert. Just actively refusing to use guns. Which was weird how, during the raid on the Lighthouse, Mack gave up his gun to use fucking batons. Why not give those to May and keep the gun? Mack, CQC isn't your specialty, despite your Terry Crews-esque strength.

May deserves a Wakandian equipment upgrade.

It does. But small consolation: We'll probably get a Netflix show between July and the end of the year. It might be Iron Fist, though, LoL
At least we are getting Daredevil S3 this fall, and that one's shaping up nicely. I'm super excited for it. Hopefully we get New Warriors too somewhere, even though it's a short one.

I'm the idiot who thinks that IF will be better this time. They gave Finn Jones 6 months of prep and training time this go around, as opposed to a couple of weeks. pleasegodletmeberight
I may as well be an idiot too lol. I actually liked the first season of Iron Fist, but Finn Jones' portrayal as Danny has been obnoxious, but I blame the writing of his character. I'm hopeful for next season (and I shouldn't be!).

I'm in for this!

We're not going to see Lola again. I think they sold the car.
Dammit, now you made me legit sad. Lola is best character.

Did the Most Wanted pilot ever get a release?
No. We'll never see that show.

OK, I set up a binge spreadsheet for Agents of SHIELD. I moved it up to starting on Tuesday, May 22 to coincide better with Avengers 4. Here's a link to it on my Google Drive: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DH6iYwikMlFaTe_rTkMIZFsOKlsFYYF9eQsGxBuOn4Y/edit?usp=sharing
Thanks a lot for this, I'll try keep up with the rest of ya'll!
I do think we should have a rewatch thread maybe, maybe to give new viewers a chance to join in too.

There was even a petition for the release of the Most Wanted pilot that was ignored. We'll never see it unless there's a big hack and it's released that way.

She used a blade versus Qovas but I liked how she was clearly stalling for time and could've won the fight earlier.

Do you really think we'd get four Marvel shows on Netflix in one calendar year? Because that's what would happen if we get Daredevil season three this fall — considering Iron Fist season two already wrapped, I've gotta think that'll debut before Daredevil.

I just noticed Iron Fist is coming out before Daredevil. But it depends when Daredevil wraps up. If it does this month or next, I could see it coming out this year. We'll see.

I can see them releasing Iron Fist S2 in September or October, then holding Daredevil until early 2019 to space them out. Although doing a little research, it looks like Daredevil started filming in mid-November while Iron Fist started after that in December. So maybe Daredevil *will* be released first? Comicbook.com seems to agree with you, Pachimari: http://comicbook.com/marvel/2018/04/20/iron-fist-season-2-stan-lee-cameo-easter-egg/

Comicbook.com said:
Iron Fist Season Two does not have an official release date, but is expected to premiere in 2019. Marvel's Jessica Jones Season Two is now streaming on Netflix. Marvel's Luke Cage Season Two will be released on June 22nd. Marvel's Daredevil Season Three is expected to be released in late 2018. Marvel's The Punisher Season Two is also now filming and is also expected to debut in 2019.

Yeah. The expectation was always that Daredevil S3 would come out this fall and Iron Fist S2 next spring, until they announced that Iron Fist had wrapped filming. Since they've wrapped this early it's highly likely coming out this year. But so would Daredevil depending on when they wrap up too. :)

I agree. We had a separate thread for the MCU re-watch leading up to IW and it led to some good discussion. I would create the thread myself but it would be pretty bare bones... I don't really have any experience creating OTs.

That article makes it sound like there won't be a legit connection to Infinity War (which makes sense if they weren't sure about renewal but less sense since they're been making a point to let the audience know Infinity War is currently happening).

But this last part is interesting.

That means that there will be plenty to animate the fan imagination over the long hiatus before season 6, as… let's call them possibilities… flourish in the wake of significant events.

My thoughts:

"Significant events" feels like a reference to Infinity War but how would that open "possibilities" exactly? Going out on a limb but perhaps stressing the word "possibilities" hints at alternate realities?[/spoilers]

Uh so Natalia Cordova just posted this on Twitter and if I heard correctly could have potential spoilers for the finale:
someone in the background says something like "oh so you're no longer on Earth-616!" Anyone else hear that? That seems really big.
If I heard wrong I'll totally edit it.

That's from the 14th and definitely doesn't have spoilers. It's a joke video of Jeff Ward explaining a theory on time travel to the cast.

Yeah the closer we get to the finale the more I think people aren't getting
dusted til next season just because the conclusion if this was the series finale wouldn't fit half the cast disappearing.
