My final rankings:

S4 > S2 > S5 > S3 > S1

4, 2 and 5 are so damn close to each other, it feels unfair to even rank them. But man, what an incredible finale. After the brilliant S4, that season finale felt a little rushed and disappointing to me. But S5, even though it didn't hit the highs of S4, went out on an absolutely incredible note.

Once the show ends, I definitely gotta rewatch all of it.

I enjoyed the ending and wondering where Season 6 will take them.

I also liked that if they wanted, they could still make Coulson live, even though Simmons said he has days. I'm sure if they wanted to they could think of something (A4 could make it so Coulson never died, who knows).

I guess the Avengers will never know he lived after Loki's Stab?

They'll figure something out.

Because, you know, comics.

What if
Coulson gets dusted by snap and when it gets reversed in A4 everybody who returns from ashes is perfectly healthy, Coulson included? Our boy Thanos may have saved our boy Coulson.

Great series finale. It's going to be really weird to see them do another one. Man so they had that coulson shot planned from the start, this is the true ending. Next season is the post credits scene.

Hey, now Daisy can forgive Fitz ;D

---

Bruh, so we were really about to have Talbot be the show's final antagonist, that's hilarious when you think about it

So when we see Fitz again, this is still going to be post-Framework Fitz who is in an "at any cost" mood. Assuming he learned a bit of a lesson after what he did to Daisy, this "real" Fitz could end up being in the same mindset to do terrible things again.

He can, but clean slate for now at least

Searched "Fitz" on Twitter, there are some good reactions. Lots of people were confused by the frozen Fitz thing and had to be reminded. Can't judge, if I hadn't seen people theorizing about that in this thread I may have forgotten about that part too.

That was a finale alright. Hopefully they don't bring Coulson back unless it's in a flashback. Interesting that Deke was completely left out though wonder what's up with him.

Daisy can't say much about Fitz, she was still harping on making Coulson take the LIVE syringe, right past the moment she went to go fight Talbot.

The VFX team on this show is absolutely phenomenal. What they managed in the city scenes with what is clearly a smaller budget was truly a sight.

That fight just makes me sad to know we won't see Quake in the big final Avengers 4 battle. The character deserves it.

I'm just glad the agents got some vitamin D this episode. Being stuck inside for so long was putting them in danger of developing rickets.

If she had known he hadn't taken the LIVE option, she'd hold him down and make him, she said this.
She yells out for him to go back and take it, in what could have been the last interaction between the two of them.
He doesn't want to take it.

How is that not symbolic of the "forcing Daisy to get her powers back when she didn't want them" arc?

I liked his little hint: "Find the power in your arms, to beat him senseless"

Not exactly new info, already established that her and May obviously want him to take it. Doesn't change the fact that Fitz operated on her while she was concscious.

That's a hell of a pull back on the camera.

So, to save the future Coulson has to die. I guess maybe the slow-time scene there with Yo Yo defibrillating him and the sparks and yadda yadda was the "time loop breaking" bit, eh? Cause right there, technically, he died.

No, breaking the loop was him not taking the syringe.

He's going to die in Tahiti.

(Except he won't because they got renewed. But they stopped Gravitron.)

No, the loop breaking was Coulson putting the cure in Daisy's gauntlet instead of taking it. The only reason Robin didn't say something was different earlier than she did was for dramatic effect for the audience.

Graviton. Gravitron sounds like that faux Megatron in Transformers the Movie (the actual one, from the 80's)

I'll add, nicely done, VFX, not just how it looks, but continuity looks good. Both the flaming car and the dark color building match between the 2 camera angles.

This finale just REALLY makes me want to see Daisy in a movie. Like goddamn.

Also is May coming back?

Could they have cut like, Talbot raising the spire from the ground or something like that to give that Coulson / May scene a little extra attention / budget? I know it's not as flashy but Phil deserves better.

Double Fitz theory!
