It's pretty obvious that we need to work on our defense. If Larry or Parky are having a bad game, it just goes tits up. Goals are great, but when you aren't marking the star player it's not a good look.

Our passing has sucked for a couple weeks now too.

Atlanta is fun to watch, when they win you can enjoy the pretty soccer, and when they lose you can laugh at their fans.

I thought every major call was the correct one except G-Pirez should have been sent off for dogso.

Jesse Marsch should be the next national team coach.

We wrecked NYCFC and Atlanta. Title contenders.
Everyone at Legends was losing it at that third goal. My god, it was amazing.

The system RBNY plays is probably too complicated for international play, plus it needs certain kinds of players. Plus it's bad against teams that bunker. So while we'd destroy Spain, we'd get destroyed by T&T.

I think Marsch has the makings of a good coach beyond the system he's implemented with NYRB.

I don't disagree. But for all his willingness to move players on to move in younger personnel, there are some folks he's had pretty much for his whole reign (BWP, Robles) that have been crucial to his success. I want to see him with a different group of guys before he takes the MNT gig someday. I'm also wondering how much the next MNT coach is going to be really set up for success... I genuinely feel for whoever takes that job.

I think whoever gets the US squad next is kinda lucky. They'll have a glut of young talent to play with. There's like 3 or four CBs that could start, midfield looks to have a lot of competition between old stalwarts and the new hotness as well. Jozy's probably still our best option up top until Weah and Seargent develop a bit more though, but they should both be ready by qualifying.

All that said, I'm a bit worried about the seeming lack of options out wide. Centrally I think we're golden, but not out wide.

Wait you were at Legends last night?
Yea, I've been going down there for the away matches this year when I can. I don't have a season ticket this year because I need to try and save money for school, so I go to what home games I can and go down there for the aways.

Yea, I saw that earlier. He's a good dude and I'm glad he's ok.

Zlatan thought he was going to a good team that was a constant contender, instead he wound up on a shit team in a tail spin.

That makes a lot of sense. They've pretty much stopped day games in baseball during the week with the exceptino of opening day, so todays time was weird.

Feel bad for the fans who were there to see him.

they wanted Zlatan and they got him, tbh. dude has always had those kinds of lapses and losses of temper

Sigi needs to go and they need to bring in someone better.

what I'd do (similar to what I think the USMNT is doing) is wait for after the World Cup and scoop someone up from the aftermath of that
