Nice to see 'contraption' in there, something that was only ever a contest in LBP.

Dreams is a really interesting looking game, though i always worry about games that rely on user created content.

Looks amazing, but a little daunting and overly complex from a creation standpoint. I think if I get the game, I would mainly be playing other people's creations.

Because of that, the fact that the campaign is only 3 hours is a bit of a bummer.

Don't think of it from a distance, think of it in terms of one thing at a time.

Can't help but wonder if Sony allowed this to bake for 7+ years because of the tech, which has always looked mind breaking incredible, but now outside parties are confirming it. Please give me the Beta this Summer.

Can't wait to delve really deep into this and make hundreds of super detailed levels/dreams that I never finish, just like LBP.

People saying "the campaign is only 3 hours" - there's going to be plenty more Mm-crafted content beyond just that, they've been spending years jamming with their own tools.

So this is basically a game development program? O: I had no idea that it was this comprehensive and in-depth.
I guess you can also make whole animated films with this.

Also.. beta this year? Meaning release in 2018 is unlikely? :(

It's wild that Sony has let this thing go on for as long as they did. Impressive even. How can a game this niche possibly recoup the costs?

The LBP betas only lasted a month or two, I imagine the Beta will be sometime this Summer, and release shortly after. Still on track to release this year I'd bet.

We don't know the budget.

Lbp has the team still posting profits after all these years

Fuck learning vbrush, just buy dreams!!!!!

Dude this is really no joking around. I was ready to teach myself how to use Blender to make 3D animated shorts, but I'm seriously just going to wait until Dreams is out and fucking do it all in Dreams. My only hope is that there is a way to export any films I produce as a video file somehow, with no Dreams watermark

I just remember the Bioshock levels from LBP, I can't possibly imagine the depth people are going to go into with this game. Just waiting to be blown away.

Turn-based RPGs are possible, yea?

Have they shown any footage on that front? I need to start planning a million JRPGs for the Sony first party thread.

It looks so stylish and very nice to look at, I'm actually thinking of buying it just to play what others gonna make.

Norway but living in France
I like that there's a meta-game to the overall experience (from PSU):
"Experience Points are also awarded for playing Dreams or even creating anything. As you rank up you earn titles which you can attached to your profile. Different titles will be awarded for different tasks that are completed. If for example you are good at creating music you will earn titles specifically created to honor music creators.

There isn't a level cap either and Medial Molecule will continue to update Dreams with more titles the further and further you rank up. Another cool aspect is a website that players will be able to go to and look at all their stats and levels they have played, enjoyed, shared, even tell you how people like you're creations."

Those screenshots are amazing and the previews sound incredible. I will lose myself in this game for weeks and weeks. Cannot wait to see what the community cook up as well.
