It's from the non-stop temper tantrum ATL fans are throwing from losing the past two weeks.

I love Dax.
Rob Usry literally rage quit twitter for all of last night as a result of that loss, and the Metro twitter ribbing. Dude deleted all his tweets and started over.
Seattle fans were considered the worst when they entered the league. Before them it was Toronto fans. Originally it was Galaxy and DC United fans.
No one ever hated Colorado though.
In fairness to him, you shouldn't talk shit to Metro twitter before a game if you can't take the heat after you lose.Wooooow. I actually like Rob and dig some of the Stars and Stripes stuff he does. He only has 46 tweets now. That's wild.
Why the hell is RBNY so high? Why are we higher than NYCFC? We're not the ones who go around breaking chairs and starting fights all over the damn place!I mean, Seattle is still probably the most hated supporters in the league, ATL was third last month.

Another home loss and who knows? Skies the limit!
Well I can't speak for other Atlanta fans or what they did, but generalizing an entire fanbase based on the actions of a particular subgroup doesn't seem like the best way to go about doing things. Just seems incendiary for no particular reason. It's from the non-stop temper tantrum ATL fans are throwing from losing the past two weeks.

Not sure anyone said it was the entire fan base. To be clear, ATL has some amazing fans, and the way that they have come together to support the city, club and each other is beautiful. However, You do have some pretty terrible supporters as well (as does anything ever) if you are on social at all over the past few weeks it's pretty much been non-stop ATL whining and complaining about things (Refereeing primarily) in place of the actual things to be complaining about.
Oh, I just think the fit some fans have thrown is absolutely hilarious. Dudes literally rage quitting twitter over one loss, the ATL fan blog at SB Nation openly rigging the results, the total lack of accepting that the refereeing was fine and they got lucky to have only one guy sent off, saying that attendance matters more than results, not understanding how the shield is awarded or how games in hand work, it's just a cornucopia of amusement. Atlanta dudes do not take losing well at all.No one complained about MLS refereeing before we came into the league, this is true.
We just have a very vocal fanbase, across all sports, particularly on social media. Some is good, some is bad, some is troll. MLB Twitter is very familiar with this. Welcome to the party.

Oh, in other news, Patrick Vieira's move is apparently done. He's denying it, but reports are saying it's gonna happen in the summer window.
The thing is, all of Metro twitter has been on pretty good terms with the ATL SB Nation guy until just after this game. So it was more funny for me than anything else, we had good banter with that dude in the build up.I think some of it may stem by how our city has been absolutely buttfucked by ref/ump decisions over the years. We've developed a complex.
I'll just say that some of the decisions were not consistent with others. We got a red when it wasn't warranted (and thankfully overturned), then didn't get a red when it was deserved.
I don't fuck around with SB Nation or fools on Twitter, so I can't speak for that. The r/AtlantaUnited moderators do a pretty good job of beating down bullshit, but people are vocal about what they think are bad calls. You also have new sport fans who think they know it all, but I'd assume that happens with every market, at least ones that pop out of the gate like we have.
I think the extremes are just that.
Apparently reporting on it might have been early, but it's probably still legit. I'm not sure NYCFC have anyone in the pipeline who can just pick up and carry the baton like RBNY do with Woly and Armas. That said, after the World Cup there's going to be a huge shuffle of coaches so there's good odds you can get a decent one.I hope ownership has a solid backup plan for when he leaves. Losing Vieira will sting.

Also if you want a team that's been fucked over by the refs almost constantly for 20 years or so, look no further. There's still Metro dudes salty about Henry's last game and the no call at the very end of it.
I think the ATL United fan base just needs a bit more experience with losing, you're all way too used to beating everyone who comes down there bloody. But that's generally an expansion team thing.
It's funny because the right calls were generally made in this game, even if that penalty was soft you got it gifted back by not getting a second sent off so it evens out. I think anyway. We got a taste of winning, decided we liked it, and bitch about not doing it. So, yeah, basically. I think some people bought in so hard that it physically hurts. As a veteran Atlanta resident and sports fan, those sweet summer children.
There's obvious flaws with this team that need to be addressed, and we could have scraped a point if we decided to mark BWP. That was some shit defending.
Nothing will ever top Eric Gregg or Sam Holbrook, though.
Leighton Baines is reportedly weighing up the chance to make a move over to America as his career begins to run down to a close. MLS clubs LA Galaxy and the newly formed Los Angeles FC are both interested in acquiring the 33-year-old this summer, and a move seems almost certain.
The trend of footballers leaving Europe for one last pay day seems to be continuing. Be it China or the U.S., players are often seen leaving the top tiers of the game for one final pay day. In January, it was Zlatan Ibrahimovic moving to MLS, recent reports have linked Wayne Rooney with a switch to D.C. United, and now it could be his teammates' turn.
According to a report in the Sun, the left back is heading to California this summer to discuss potential moves to either Galaxy or LAFC, and Everton are believed to be willing to let the defender go free of charge in order to boost his personal payday when he eventually moves across the Atlantic.
Kovar missed his chance to make a massive statement with that last chance. He still worked hard for that 1st goal.
They can dish it, but they can't take it. Metro twitter the true kings, we're apparently the reason the USA didn't qualify for the world cup (according to ATL twitter). Don't get much stronger than that.

I'm talking METRO twitter, not Mets twitter.
Arsenal probably is the ultimate banter club right now lol
He was never that great. Not shocked he's gone.Missed that Sam was out. Never really rated him, even though he got us promoted on the bounce.
Curious to see how Rooney does in America. Didnt really stay at Everton long at all. Might be good for him to start fresh at DC. And Evertons manager who just got sacked is a prick anyways lol can't blame him
Could be. They'll probably face a b or c side though, so it should be a good game.North Texas Rayados, a Sunday pub team, move onto the next round in US open cup.
I'm guessing they'll be matched with FC Dallas next week?
