It was a joke from the Eminem song, I'm a little disappointed but my earlier comment I said I was expecting such.
What's worse is when you, quite legitimately, complain about it other people will point out that backers have no rights, should just accept it and be patient blah blah. Of course we can wait, but it's the principle of how this was handled.
The game was only announced a few weeks ago, if the Sony and Nintendo codes aren't ready until Jun 8th then that's when the game should've released.
I get delays with shipping physical products, but there is no excuse for backers getting digital codes two weeks after the general public get to purchase and complete the game.
beat the last boss of the first mode in about an 1 1/2 hours was pretty fun I liked the enviromental shortcuts and puzzles using the abilities, the ice spell is a bit broken tho :P

There is no real challenge until the final stage. It kinda suffers from mega man syndrome if you swap and use your abilities well to counter every enemy
To be fair there are a bunch of split paths and I took every secret looking path I saw which was normally a huge shortcut
Unfortunate. Blaster Master Zero was easy as hell too so I guess I should have seen this coming. Although I suppose not every game can be Felghana on Nightmare. :p

the game ghost and goblins you and you go through the stages again and now you can take paths you couldnt before as you have all the characters now and those paths are a bit harder it seems. Im taking a break for now I'm sleepy :P

I think I'll don't even use the Steam temporary key because it seems there are some issue they have to patch out anyway. Hopefully, Hyrule Warriors finally comes today!

Well, this thread has turned into a shit show. :/
To the people that backed the game: it's not the end of the world. I'm disappointed too, but shit happens. I backed the game for $150, so I certainly have a leg in this race, but ultimately, this is small fries.
To the people telling the backers to chill out: that's not terribly fair to them. Their money directly led to the creation of this game. Stretch goal or not, if it wasn't for their support, there'd be no Bloodstained or CotM. Them feeling slighted by not being able to experience something they had a hand in making happen stings.
To the devs if CotM: I fucking know how hard this shit is. Missing a deadline, or having unexpected obstacles throw a monkey wrench in the plans is awful. No developer sets out to screw over the fans. That's not how the industry works, and especially so for small indie developers where their name and rep means more than a gigantic, multi billion dollar company. I've worked on plenty of games that had last minute snafus, and it's just not a good time for anyone. Late nights, oodles of stress, angry producers and fans, nobody is having a good night.
Everyone just needs to take some deep breaths and recenter themselves. It'll get worked out in the end.
Now I guess I have to see if I have a cord long enough to connect my PC to my 50", 4K Samsung so maybe I can play the Steam version of the game before bed...

Sounds like the game is fairly quick & easy to beat once, but could pose more of a challenge to try to 100% with the various paths & modes. In any case, as a big CV3 fan, I plan on buying this as soon as it goes up on Switch.
Any update on the scaling issues? Is that just a PC thing or do the console versions (namely the Switch version) have the same problem?
Ugh. That's a real disappointment. I'm sure it's a fun game but that really puts a damper on things. There's a hard mode though, right?

The original window size is poorly chosen (nonsquared pixels and uneven distribution, but maximize and it's great)... or are there artifacts later on i didn't catch because i didn't go all way through the end of the first level ?
Uh so if you're fullscreen and alt tab you're just fucked? On windows 10 for me anyway. :/
edit: to elaborate the game just turns into a fullscreen window that does not come back into focus no matter what I do, doesn't show the game at all anymore.

How did you get it to be full screen? I'm using Borderless gaming 9.5.4, and I'm running it full screen on my TV as a second monitor with no issues. I can Win+D and Alt+Tab just fine.
Oh... ok... on my win7 the game is windowed and there is no alt+tab issue, even maximized, except that pressing the mouse button to come back makes a button press xD

Yep, there's an update alright... ahaha that was fast... even cotm gets a day 1 patch :)

I'll keep playing the 1.0 .. you can play the game from anywhere anyway and it is offline-friendly, i made a backup before updating :)

No, I pledged via Fangamer (back in 2015), and I successfully updated my pledge before the end of the deadline 10 days ago (got a confirmation email).
The game crashing on anyone else whenever they minimize? I've had to restart my computer twice already.
Another thing that's annoying is that I can't toggle a confirm and cancel key when using a keyboard, which in turn makes it impossible to assign them to my Saturn controller.
I found a work around that at least using joy2key.

Oh wow. I got that update. Don't use that full screen mode. There's a ton of screen tearing and that window fucks everything up when you minimize it. Use Borderless Gaming. It'll make it a full screen window and it doesn't fuck everything up.

Yeah just did this. Far better solution, thanks. That screen tearing was pretty bad.
Game looks and sounds gorgeous but I'm starting to get worried hearing the too easy complaints and judging by how quickly I got through the first level with little to no trouble...

Got my Steam key ... but i want to play this first on the Switch, so .... it's waiting time until they distribute the console keys. Really liking the stuff about new paths, i understand it's a short game to ease the wait for the main one, but if there's enough replayability ... no worries here then.
and i´m out...that´s a shame to hear tbh...i wanted a throwback to classicvania difficulty, not some easy new school stuff in retrofitted disguise
So...can I just give away to someone my temporary steam key and just wait for my Switch key ? I'm not that hasty to play the game, I can wait.
Thanks for trying to help, but when I use my own survey link it shows that I am a backer (and it also shows the corrrect tier), but the only download code that is listed there is an early access code for Steam.
I just created a Fangamer account using the same email address, but the only order shown there is one for a game I bought 2 years ago, not Bloodstained. I've sent them an email.
Do you really think Inti-Creates is capable of making that game though?

The early steam code and the regular steam codes are the only ones that have been sent out. All console/handheld codes got delayed.
So, the eShop updated in Europe and there's still no game to buy.
