If even after that your character still looks terrible, that's the real Dark Souls.
Haha, I forgot about this. Hope I can come up with something that looks 20% as good as my Bloodborne characters.

Given that real life lava is so bright it sears your eyes into blindness merely from looking at it, Dark Souls is one of the few video games to actually represent it correctly.
You can change it on PC. Haven't try PS4 yet. Both same, in controls setup, it starts on "Movement and Camera." Move right to "Gameplay" and remap jump by scrolling down.
Thanks! Though I admit that bums me out pretty hard. So by choosing the theif class, I've already got the best weapon? That takes a lot of the fun out of the game :-s
...This isn't true at all.Given that real life lava is so bright it sears your eyes into blindness merely from looking at it,
Nice. Didn't even realize they added a whole input menu now. Was checking the normal options! It's definitely possible. You just have to rebind it in the settings.
I remember reading that somewhere *shrug*
Hahah for real

Sorry to whoever tried 20 times lol
Wish I didn't have to go to work today. I'm sure the kids can teach themselves by now...
One question - if I'm doing multiplayer, is it my PSN name that shows up or the name I've chosen in game? My name here and on PSN aren't the same and would love to bump into someone from here!
Finally killed the Taurus Demon...then accidentally found the second Black Knight and lost 6000 souls.
Aw, Jesus, gross.Well done on Taurus it always sucks losing your first big chunk of souls. I once lost 1.2 million souls by falling off a cliff trying to walk around a tree...
Upgraded gloves lvl and spell damage.Rolling pyromancy for the first time in a souls game. No idea what goes into a good pyromancy build but I'm just kinda rolling with it.
I don't want to do toooo much research because it's kinda fun not knowing stuff and just figuring it out but I do have one question. From what I understand damage from pyromancies doesn't scale with anything and is fully dependant on the spell, is that true?
I don't have a picture but it's toned down but not by much. It's still pretty neon. The pools don't have as much of a glow but the lava running down the walls is still bright.Yeah for sure but it was ugly as sin, the horrible textures didn't help at all. I think this is one of those times were a video game can unrealistically portray something for the sake of the game itself.
Just buy your spells and upgrades. There is no pyromancy build, but high poise will obviously help with casting high level stuff.Rolling pyromancy for the first time in a souls game. No idea what goes into a good pyromancy build but I'm just kinda rolling with it.

Are you not supposed to be at the graveyard near firelink shrine at the start? Took forever to lure and kill all the skeletons to loot the place. I did like no damage to them.
Not sure if serious. Are you not supposed to be at the graveyard near firelink shrine at the start? Took forever to lure and kill all the skeletons to loot the place. I did like no damage to them.
Nope, up the hill to Undead Burg. And, next time, run and loot. Are you not supposed to be at the graveyard near firelink shrine at the start? Took forever to lure and kill all the skeletons to loot the place. I did like no damage to them.

Yeah, serious. Was just asking because it was leading to another area.
oh
Dark Souls first tip: if it's too hard, look for another way.
I spend a lot of time in character creation just trying to make a person look like an actual human. For some reason the 'random' option just seems to pump out various versions of the kid from deliverance. It's not even a Souls game if I don't take 30 minutes making my character. We in!
Also make sure to hit the "create similar" button a lot with the slider a bit up, it creates creatures from hell!I spend a lot of time in character creation just trying to make a person look like an actual human. I can only imagine that if it did, it would have been found by now.Developer tests tend to be trippy for what I've seen lol but its weird that this version has them. I guess QLOC took a dev version of the game and forgot to take them out. It also makes me wonder if the Bloodborne map was in those DS1 versions...
Hows this running on an og ps4 and slim? Probably gonna pick it up after e3

Thanks!Rock solid 60fps so far, about to enter Blighttown from the Depths side. The are some strange textures in this last one, particularly with the obstacles on the ground.
Sound seems to have some strange issues, where sometimes i think it cuts the music. Also some npc's voice's seem a little muted, even with the volume up.
