My usual raiding group and I are all 370+ now (around 375), would that be enough to have an "easy" time on the Val Ca'uor encounter and not get wrecked by mobs?

RIP. I actually like this strike. The boss room is intense especially with heroic modifiers.

Could use some modifications to how the health gating works but hope it isn't gone for too long.

I see why they removed it though because when I play it in the heroic strike playlist I've had up to 6 people matchmake in and then quit immediately LOL.

Hot damn, got the Hypnopompic ornament for the Sleeper.

Regarding Exodus Crash, should be a pretty easy adjustment...

- Get rid of the invisibility/invincibility
- Up the melee damage from the boss (sorta like a built-in blackout/lightswitch but not quite, in any case make the player really fear that bastard)
- Increase the amount of arc shanks/add sniper shanks
- Remove the cheese spot from behind the blue tarp covered box on the left side of the arena

...this would incentivize/increase player movement in making the whole encounter more fluid while pushing the players to use the entire arena instead of staying in the middle.

It would also be nice to see Bungie remove themselves from the 3-tier boss health mechanic that Destiny 2 introduced.

I disagree with this only because I feel like the recent Warmind Hive Priest strike boss encounter is, in my opinion, really great.

The gaps between damage phases seem like they are kept much shorter than Exodus Crash and the arena changes with the pillars slowly being removed. I'm a fan of this. It's also really clear when the boss can be damaged since it's always visible and the immunity shield is very clear/readable.

I'm also a fan of the Osiris Cabal Centurion 3-phase strike boss encounter but feel that could use some tweaks as well, just like Exodus Crash.

Strange Terrain is probably my favorite strike especially with the blackout modifier. That said, the 3-tier boss health mechanic has become a staple of every strike boss encounter in Destiny 2. All I'm saying is mix it up a bit.

I agree. I think there's good and not-so-great boss encounter designs and I would love to see a redesign pass across the board, especially with the way that HS play now.

Why is the Cabal shield weak spot right on the front like that? Lore based answer please, it's okay if you make it up.

Is this game dying on PC? Not much success on Discord, guided games or LFG when it comes to finding a group to do NF. Resorted to playing some PVP to try level which I can't say I'm enjoying.

Has anyone got any tips for PVP to power level for the weekly milestone? I don't know the meta or anything so I'm just getting beaten to a pulp every game, I also super suck at PVP :D

PC has always had low population unfortunately. Bad first impression scared everyone away. Bad PVP and PVE (at the time) scared everyone away. No exclusivity like PS4.

If anyone needs a really rusty, terrible, off-meta Hunter for PS4 Trials, I'm your guy. (I've never won a single D2 Trials match lol.)

Is the modifier that melee hits from enemies are OHK the most annoying modifier? Considering the sheer amount of adds in these strikes?

Ha! Exodus Crash being retooled?? AMAZING!! D2 really is shaping up beautifully! Forgive my enthusiasm—I just got The Forward Path and it is my favorite gun hands down (right before Song of Justice VI). Such a fun IB this time around. :)

Are you in the "Destiny 2 PC LFG" discord? It's linked in the OP and seems very active whenever I've poked my head in there.

If that's the case they would remove every strike. Last week was people leaving strikes marathon no matter what one you get. Between the bugs and mods like blackout people were leaving left and right.

The jade rabbit is such a fucking stupid gun. I'm getting punished in pvp for landing headshots. Like why?

I have to be some person missing head shots to win gun fights?

Happy as I am with the state of things, whosoever thought it would be an ok design decision to offer duplicate override frequencies should be sat down and chatted with.

It's so clunk.

Don't understand why the gun doesn't have better handling or a faster RoF.

That's all they need to do. Give it it's own archetype of RoF like 170, but with the damage of a 200 RoF scout. Also more bullets, 10 is bad even with the perk.

lol no you fucking don't. the boss is annoying. the NPC banter between the Ghost and FailSafe is annoying. the intro part activating the beams of light while trying to avoid 1-shot killing enemies is annoying. the "defend the ghost" for-fucking-ever is annoying.

there is no aspect of that strike that is enjoyable. If you really do like it, you're the only one.

Yeah it's pretty terrible in every way.

The only neat part is the fallen walker and that's because it isn't annoying.

If you're having trouble finding people in LFG, you might be in the wrong LFG. There are a couple of Discords called "LFG". The one that matters has about 6,000 people in it and I think I've never waited more than 10 minutes to do anything.

Copying the worst aspects of competitive. Overwatch Comp dread.
while having fewer available tools to communicate with teammates (on PC, no real mic support). It's just a horrible state for anyone not playing comp with a pre-made squad.

IDK why folks would play Comp Destiny. I'm enjoying the game way more than I thought I would before picking it up, but regular Crucible is straight up "turn off my brain and grind out the milestone" tier stuff, adding stakes to it is... not going to improve the experience, y'know?

It's just too random and variable to be a good Competitive shooter.
Why is the Cabal shield weak spot right on the front like that? Lore based answer please, it's okay if you make it up.
Well, if we can make stuff up... it's a technical limitation. The shield needs to have some kind of cooling mechanism to support the new functionality (impervious, expandable, made of energy) and the only place to put said vent is on the front since anywhere else would be a danger to the wielder. The shield is designed to be deployed in large-formation combat, where overlapping shields can cover /minimize weak point exposure, but combat against Guaridans necessitates smaller arenas and fireteams than designers anticipated, and enemy accuracy is wreaking a heavy cost.

I miss the Titan bubble being worthwhile.

There was nothing more satisfying than planting a bubble over a control zone in Destiny 1, mocking the other team with a dance so they get angry and enter the bubble, then killing them with the Raze-Lighter -- which would help boost your super so you can drop another bubble shortly after.

It's only really good for situational bosses...like last weeks EP.

Really glad Dragon's Shadow and Mechaneer's Tricksleeves seem to have got some great buffs.

Dragon's Shadow reloading EVERY weapon every dodge, arcstrider with increased dodge recharge when sprinting, plus you get to roll melee dodge as well. Yes Please. I hope the movement speed increase it gets makes you run around like MIDA.
