I still like kanyes music. Really don't wanna hear a diss track from the guy, it would be like self-immolation.

3 minutes of bleached asshole-tier lines prolly. Some nonsense about how he wore a MAGA hat and made it a symbol of inspiration or some shit

This will likely just be a short lived one month beef during good/ovo album promos. Only pusha will respond with music. Kanye might tweet some shit tho
don't even want to hear him rap at all anymore really lol. Daytona proved that he'll never lose his touch as a producer but his rapping ability is already hanging on by a thread as is

Kanye is all about positive energy. Dipset dissed him and he was like yo lets do a track and they did. He's 100x more likely to, like us, think this is good for hip-hop and cheer both sides on.

The Drake/Ye thing is confusing, they stay frenemies. Drake has dissed him in the past and they've linked up recently (as mentioned in the song) too.
I doubt it'll happen, but it would be great to hear someone put him in his place

I'm just glad rap is getting interesting after some slow few months

I'm just hoping scorpion is more like a 13 track length combo of mostly pop and some rap Drake.

Tired of his last two mediocre, bloated playlist shit.

This is going to chart next week and Drake's fans are gonna say Pusha and Ye are cancelled etc. and it's all gonna mean nothing just like the Meek beef amounted to little once the dust settled.

Mean nothing? Dude's career was never the same after that lol. People forget that they were playin that shit in philly bars and during philly games

I like at least a few songs on that Rocky. It is all over the map and even if I appreciate his ambition the rapping never seems to match my expectations from the production. the Tony tone song is probably up there for me. I still don't know how people like ASAP forever.

Haven't finished it yet, but this is the nail on the head for me. It's all over the place, and I like all the different things he's trying, but it never comes together and his rapping is a big part of that.

Belly needs to stop singing. Weeknd steals the show on all of their collabs, and it always feels like they'd be better without Belly.

that new Belly track is a weird one. trying to go for a dreamy pop vibe to it.

it works for Weeknd though, it should have been his song.

Only thing more impressive than Drake dropping this in less than 24 hours after Daytona's release is the quickness with which the usual suspects in this thread trying to downplay anything this man does with juelz_santana_hands.gif-type of arguments that hold no water in the real world lmao

I'm pretty sure Drake didn't make this diss today. Knowing their circles, he received word on the album and its lyrics (hell, maybe even the tracks themselves) way beforehand. The lyrics on the diss are too specific to have been done in the time frame everyone believes. Regardless, it was a good diss, but we all know this is another marketing ploy to hype up both albums. If we get a full Pusha T diss tomorrow then I'd be surprised.

Breh, I have faith in Pusha T.

You Drake stans can champion him all you want, but Pusha managed to give me more enjoyment in 21 minutes than Drake did with nearly 40 tracks. Yes, we get it, he's a pop star, he's the king of rap, he's gone platinum, and so on and so forth. But, bar for bar, Pusha beats Drake singlehandedly. While I'm glad Drake actually decided to try with a rap track, I still think Pusha can and will write a brutal diss track.

That No Malice bar was kinda wack, but some of the hits Drake got in were good, especially the bar about Pusha not being top 5 on his own label and the faded signature bar. Now I'm just hoping Pusha doesn't Meek it up. If he does, the jokes are right there with "What Would Meek Do?".

EDIT: Someone in the other thread said it in another way that I agree with. You can't enter a rap beef with Drake because Drake breaks all the rules. Simply by entering into a beef with him, you lose: Drake's army of fans will overwhelm the other side with memes and bullshit, no matter how ass the response is, and Drake will earn a significant chunk of cash, again no matter how bad the response is. It literally doesn't matter how good your response is, because Drake has more cultural clout than Pusha T.

But, Drake against Kanye, that's some beef that'll shake the heavens.

I mean, that just proves the idea that simply entering into a battle with Drake is a bad move.

There's no way Pusha unanimously wins.

Pusha dropped as dope album.

Drake come back with some dope bars but now pusha needs to end it. Time for a full blown diss response.

Drake actually producing an invoice is straight up corny.

I'm becoming an old head? I got maybe 2 or 3 tracks on this Rocky album but even those I could live without.

Is this good or nah? I don't even know anymore brethren.

Nah you're not old, I even ended up with 2/3 tracks from it. The best thing is the production, but rocky just says a whole bunch of nothing the whole album.

a few random thoughts

pushas production is insane and it's the best he's been in ages, but let's not act like he hasn't been stuck in a holding pattern since hhnf and this isn't breaking the mold. these beats were wasted on this old ass washed up coke rapper. this isn't the purple tape.

that drake song isn't that good either and it's kind of sad/telling

pure facts. Daytona could be such a good album if Pusha T was replaced. I love the first two Clipse albums but this dude is phoning it in with his cocaine shtick and repetitive flow, the beats are wasted. (Santeria is too good to pass up though, beat of the year. Alchemist would be proud)

and yeah the Drake track is whatever, but in a battle between whose music I would rather listen to right now its Drake easy.

anyways today finna be lit for sports. Champions League final and last Warriors game.

Man, Ye's been lacking on the mic and it honestly makes me cringe at times. His verses on Daytona, Watch, and the Ye vs. the People are embarrassing.

This Push is fucking banging. Can't wait for Ye's tape to have banging ass beats all the OT clowns to be back on Ye's dick with the quickness.

This production is insane man. Come back baby is so menacing with the bass line .the sample is fire. It really feels like someone sat Kanye down abd was like remember you used to make rap beats?

The small size helps for sure. 7 crazy beats lands itself to higher quality. Theres no room for a disappointing or lacklustre second half.

Pusha shoulda just kept spitting about drugs man. I fuck with Pushs flow and he was doing fine. Nothing great on display here, but serviceable at least .

These shots at drake just seem desperate and I coulda done without it. Even drakes corny comeback the next day comes off corny. Stick to rapping about drugs you sold 25 years ago push. No one cares about your delusions of grandeur ass drake diesses.

Kanye production carries your washed up ass.

Great album though. Been bumping on repeat since yesterday.

Can't wait for the rest of the Ye albums .

California rap scene is on some really weird shit lately. All the weird shit is coming from Cali and it's where all the sound cloud rappers go.

edit: Question, is this jcole x lil pump interview worth watching? I feel like it's going to be a waste of time subjecting myself to 1 hour of low consciousness. Why jcole even associating with lil pump? I feel like jcole isn't as profound or as expansive as an artist as he is given credit for.
