Only thing more impressive than Drake dropping this in less than 24 hours after Daytona's release is the quickness with which the usual suspects in this thread trying to downplay anything this man does with juelz_santana_hands.gif-type of arguments that hold no water in the real world lmao
I like Drake a lot, he's a better artist than Pusha T that's for sure, but ain't nobody talking about the "real world" because it's a worthless conversation to have.

Drake is more popular so Drake wins, even when he loses. What's the argue about or downplay in a popularity contest? Besides noting that a diss track should probably not be based on that but based on merit of the track itself, and even last go around Drakes disses were iffy (only Meek's were iffier) and he always dances around what he's getting dissed for, never a proper response just flexing.

TBH Stay Schemin is Drake's best diss song, this is probably a close second, and then I'd put several stray bars on various songs throughout his career before Back 2 Back. Odd how back then a Common/Drake beef was like the softest thing imaginable yet it seemed to produce the best disses.

Which rappers are you talking about? Would like some more new music

Well they aren't all from Cali but they're like that new wave of "clout chasers"

All these guys may not be from Cali or started in Cali but it's where they all seem to be hanging out and collaborating together

lil pump
smokepurpp
lil xan
paris
fat nick (alleged rapist)
post malone
lil skies

basically the no jumper scene

weird shit, a lot of trash, hot trash though

I'm usually pretty out of touch as it is.

I've legit never even heard of these names outside post malone and thats only cause my girl likes him.

never heard of lil pump though, really?

cali scene is like rap and that drugwave mixed with cali punk/hardcore imagery. idk it all blends.
Not at all in a "fuck them I don't know them" kinda way.

More in a I'm hitting 30 in a few years and I dont keep up anymore kind.

I listened to first tribe album after Daytona today, im a lost cause

Letting Drake rebuild your dead mother's house to fulfill a cause that you've been in actuality pump faking about for years would be like a Game 7 buzzer beater for Drake's pettiness.

Rhymefest that minor character that you count out for a whole season and then pops up out of nowhere during the finale to turn the tables and win it for the heroes, even though I wouldn't really call Drake a hero.

pure facts. Daytona could be such a good album if Pusha T was replaced. I love the first two Clipse albums but this dude is phoning it in with his cocaine shtick and repetitive flow, the beats are wasted. (Santeria is too good to pass up though, beat of the year. Alchemist would be proud)

and yeah the Drake track is whatever, but in a battle between whose music I would rather listen to right now its Drake easy.

anyways today finna be lit for sports. Champions League final and last Warriors game.

you already know. Mo Salah and Liverpool, lessgoooooooo

Blast 86k dollars for a photo that you disrespectfully use as an album cover in order to generate buzz for a drug dealer cosplayer instead of putting a single cent into an non-profit organization that was not only co-founded by you but also carries the name of your dead mother brehs

No wonder why Zuckerberg didn't give you any money when you begged him for it

I've been saying one of the dumbest things about recent Kanye is his whole "Nobody's doing shit to help Chicago" statments when there's plenty of fucking charities he could be shouting out or donating to, and plenty of good he could be enacting with his money and his presence but he's too busy sucking up to billionaires and hanging out with MAGA scum.

Wait so he never gave financial support at all despite talking about Donda in the beginning?
At least for the stuff there trying to do to his home. He at least helped design the logo and paid some legal fees
"Kanye supported the organization by designing the logo with his creative team, paying for legal support as we filed for exemption status and eventually through the Louis Vuitton Foundation, secured our largest donation to date of $133,000."
