I've been following this game since its early days and can't freaking wait to try the demo out! Amazing atmosphere

Based on the demo, this game needs better event based music. Really ramp it up when people are nearby, the minimalism chords just feel like a placeholder.

Also this 100% needs a VR mode.

Just played the demo and I'm 100% down for this. One of the most intense chasing sequences I have ever played. I wonder if you can outrun them in the demo. I didn't manage to do it. Amazing. I love it! Looking forward to the finished game.

I would love a PT/Outlast like horror survival game that places you in a car as the focus with some on foot elements, that has management aspects. While having the graphics and atmosphere of this game and Slient hill/PT. With a real time weather system and damage system. As the player experiences a bunch of creepy audio visual moments and other strange happenings on the road. In a tone similar to PT and other horror games. So many tricks and scary shit could be put in such a game.

Ugh...suprised no one's made it.

Love the idea of fhis game though.

Looks promising and is now on my watch list.

Some of the gameplay clips really scared me. Hopefully you wont get lost in the woods. I mean, less is certainly more when it comes to horror.

I just drove around for an hour and didn't find anything.

Didn't realize I broke the initial part.

The game looks great, pretty amazing for a single guy. He does need help on the sound mixing though, it was painful to see the videos.

I played the demo last night, its a really interesting take on horror. Definitly going to play around with it more after work and see what I missed. I'm kind of thinking about doing a video, there's some neat stuff going on.

That looks killer visually, but can you build a game on that mechanic? It's basically survival mode from Driver.

Yeah this has been on my radar for a while. Love the simplicity of concept and how sinister everything looks. Sound hasn't been commented on much, but the gravel and broken twigs under tyre, accompanied by the minimalist piano notes work really well. And thank god for no HUD.

I'm imagining a collab w/ the Darkwood devs where you're driving around to different locations on the map scavenging, meeting interesting, creepy characters along the way (like the one below) and doing missions/fetch quests for them. You'd have a safehouse where you could just relax, restock on ammo + health, admire the items you've acquired along your journey, etc. You could maybe upgrade your car, but nothing crazy since it'd be a survival horror FPS. Would be an amazing game. Thanks for this game, devs! Will purchase once released.

This is the type of game where I can only imagine how incredible it'd be if a AAA publisher had the balls to dump a ton of money into this idea.

Not that I'm downplaying this game since it's already off to a great start and I appreciate the devs for creating this. Just dreaming of what could be.

The driving physics are better than most AAA sim-arcade racers I've played honestly. Driving easily more satisfying than Horizon 3. This game w/ DiRT Rally physics + sound design would be insanity.

Just emailed myself this thread as a reminder to download the demo tomorrow. I remember reading about this awhile back. Combines two of my favorite genres so I absolutely have to check it out.

Some work is needed to make the NPCs a little scarier, but otherwise looks amazing.

This game in VR would be something else.

This looks great, awesome idea and the driving reminds me of the original Colin McRae Rally game (love bumpy roads). The graphics are also very atmospheric, this dev has a great eye for visuals. It would be good to get some different scenarios/themes for the escape e.g. hill billy running moonshine trying to escape the cops, late night drive vs a deranged truck driver, escaping from Mafia/Yakuza/Gangbangers etc. Each scenario could provide a different atmosphere while keeping the same basic gameplay idea. So much potential here.

Crazy interesting, but sort of lacking a real point or compelling lure. The visual direction is really fantastic, though.

Would be cool to integrate something like this into The Evil Within 3/Resident Evil 8.

This is like David Lynch's movies driving sections, but with even more suspense and danger.

I'll be taking a look at this tomorrow, when I'm not half-asleep and alone at home hah.
