Yeah, but both Knights didn't drop anything but Chunks unfortunately.
Climb up that elevator, it leads outside to the Valley of Drakes.I forget how to get out of blightown haha, I don't have the master key, can I get out through the ruins? Do I have to go all the way back the way I came in?
Oh! I had this happen to me last night. The crow wasn't talking to me at its nest. Never saw that in all my previous playthroughs, I wonder if it's a new bug. But I just went back later and it worked.Thank you, and yeah seems like the message won't prompt. I think I got on it's bad side.
Leave the Quelaag boss room the way you came in, then look left and you'll see a big scaffold with ladders and a mechanical lift. That's your way out.I forget how to get out of blightown haha, I don't have the master key, can I get out through the ruins? Do I have to go all the way back the way I came in?
I don't think I'm ready for that area yet, I'm getting my ass whooped there hahaClimb up that elevator, it leads outside to the Valley of Drakes.
I found that but the enemies in the Valley are too powerful for me, I want to go finish Darkroot. It's been so long since I played this it almost feels like my first timeLeave the Quelaag boss room the way you came in, then look left and you'll see a big scaffold with ladders and a mechanical lift. So now that I've got hold of The Great Scythe, and scythed around with it for a bit, I'd have to say that yes indeed it's pretty great.
So now what? I level the scythe itself, or my own Dexterity?
The thing is I'm trying to build hit points and endurance guy. Do I just pump a few more points into Dexterity and continue to build my endurance and hit points guy? I'm at 14 Dexterity right now and I've got about 17 points in both endurance and hit points.
Also, I'm pretty much at the start of the contest. I'm at The Undead Burg, and am about to climb the bell tower for the gargoyle match.
Honestly, the gargoyles have no idea what's coming at them. I am about to fuck them up real bad.
The latter was definitely a thing in the original. Two things I don't remember being a thing in the old version:
If you kill an enemy as you are getting summoned your souls for the kill are halved.
- What happened to me: Silver Knights drop 1k souls, with a Silver Serpent Ring and the overkill bonus I get 1440 souls, on two occasions while the summoning message was showing I did a parry/riposte on a Silver Knight and got only 720 souls.
While standing still and two-handing a weapon hold block and do a 180-turn. Your character will derp out and hold their weapon above their head oddly for about a second. Most noticeable with a GS/UGS.
After you get to the Valley just cross the crappy wooden bridge to the locked gate. The key for that gate was at the top of the scaffold in a chest on the way out of Blighttown. You don't have to fight any enemies. You'll end up in New Londo right under Firelink =)I don't think I'm ready for that area yet, I'm getting my ass whooped there haha
I know there's like an elevator in the ruins through that door in the valley of drakes, that takes me back to firelink right?

Yes, yes, it leads to Firelink too. You don't even have to engage with the drakes in the valley at all for now. Or, if you wanna go straight to Darkroot, you can run past all of them.I don't think I'm ready for that area yet, I'm getting my ass whooped there haha

No, just blooming. So you get 1 twinkling for 1 red moss, 1 for purple moss, and 2 for blooming, for a total of 4 twinklings.I'll keep that noted when I hop back on. 2 twinklings for each different type of blooming moss?
Also, am I supposed to level up my shield?
What happens as the result - less endurance gets taken away from my absorption bar?
God every single time I forget what utter shit Bed of Chaos is. There is no excuse for this fucking abomination of game design and I wish they would have included some kind of skip in this version.
Pretty salty that I've killed four or five Black Knights and none of them wanted to drop a sword for ya boi.
Also, what on Earth is this "give me warm, give me soft :3" thing that I can't even see?
Whoa. Hype. That's Snuggly. You drop certain items in the nest, quit and reload the game, and she might leave a new item there.

Three kills. Two swords. They obviously ran out. Sorry.Pretty salty that I've killed four or five Black Knights and none of them wanted to drop a sword for ya boi.

You should be. If you're wearing armor that barely has curse resistance, it can happen almost instantly.Even though I know they're weak, even though I know they have telegraphed attacks, I will never not be scared when fighting the Basilisks.
Is there any reason not to kill Lautrec the moment he shows up in Firelink, honestly?Did I kick Lautrec off the ledge? Absolutely. Fuck that guy
Not sure if it's the FPS, that I have more of a plan for what to do, or just me being a lot better at this now than in 2011, but things have gone so so smoothly this time around, including Black Knights and a completely superfluous Titanite Demon kill. Going to try a Divine/Occult Longsword Faith build, this is your chance to tell me not to
His armor later, if you want it that bad.Is there any reason not to kill Lautrec the moment he shows up in Firelink, honestly?
I think completing his storyline will give you his sweet ass armor. It also lets you talk to the Shrine Fire Keeper for a lil bit more story. Is there any reason not to kill Lautrec the moment he shows up in Firelink, honestly?
