What do you guys think of i?

I liked most of it, I thought the two first segments were the strongest though (the standup and desk segments). I thought the sketches were a little eh. I can see how they might be good ideas but they weren't funny in how they were executed.

So overall: Definitely room to grow, but also pretty funny and on point for at least parts of it.

It's a sketch show? I thought it was more like a Daily Show news humor show. I'll check it out when I get home

It's more like.. Daily show meets standup meets a few sketches if that makes sense. The main thing has 3 segments where she talks, one with a guest. Then in between that there are sketches.

Really liked the first episode, much stronger than Joe McHale's imo
Liked it better than Joel Mchales show as well, but while not consistently funny, I do think Joels show grows on you. It does have some real fun stuff at times. I hope both manage to keep going.

I enjoyed it. The monologue was my favorite part.
Whoever came up with that lunch meat joke really thought they had a hit on their hands, huh? Easily the worst part of the show.

A minute of cum jokes, I'm a fan

The feminism segment was funny

I did not understand the lunch meat joke

I don't think there was anything to get. Just seemed like a dumb joke, but I found it pretty funny. "They 'decide' to set themselves on fire," had me dying.

Also the SFP skit was amazing. Too many TV shows feature women characters who are basically men and it's annoying. And you never see anyone asking if a male lead is "strong". It's supposed to be feminist but it can be pretty damn sexist.

That was pretty fun. I agree that the skits were a little limp but they're much more creative than the Joel Mchale ones, which were the nail in the coffin for me.

The Dana Loesch Harley bar hostess line got me

You guys are quick on watching and giving impressions! I just got a notification 30 min ago. When did this show up on Netflix? I'm UK, so maybe that's why.

The skits weren't great, but Michelle Wolf is hilarious and the rest of the show was golden. The ginger in the well joke hurt my soul.

just watched. Pretty awful tbh. I hate the corny DJ fake laughing. I don't think I even cracked a smile the whole episode. Maybe the least funny "comedian" I've watched on Netflix.

I'm not really sure what the show is supposed to be. I'll check back with it later and hopefully they have a better formatted show then.

The Amazon Echo lunch meat stuff didn't really land with me, but everything else was pretty good I thought.

You had a little fit when she hosted the WHCD. Still decided to check in, eh? You said you hoped she enjoyed her 15 minutes, yet here you are.

It's almost like you're disengenuous.

Lol, yeah it's clear that they're already biased against her. Even if you don't like the jokes, putting her profession in quotes is pretty trashy.

She's pretty good man. she has a bit of a danger just like at the Correspondent's Dinner that does translate. Like some of her jokes is just calling shit out straight up. She has a legit voice imo. Monologue was definitely the best part.

Nice chill venue

the thing about the skits is they're absurdist but then don't really go as far as they could. Like imagine Amazon Echo Lunch Meat but done by Kids in the Hall

Maybe she should do chill interviews like what's his face with the snake cup

I think the DJ guy is sort of overselling it

I have just watched the first episode and I thought that it was pretty solid apart from the Amazon Echo lunch meat sketches, they were awful.

The section towards the end with Amber was pretty bang on, it's something that my wife can definitely relate to and she might have to start using some of Amber and Michelle's quips e.g. the Zika virus countries.

Once again the standup was the only part I found funny. All the horn shit was just stupid. Disappointed she didn't address Bee given that she suffered a similar backlash herself recently.

Only watched the first episode (will watch the second tomorrow), agree that the filmed sketches were not very good but really enjoyed the rest and loved Amber Ruffin as the first guest. The first episode of any talk show tends to be a bit awkward and they can take a little while to find a groove, but i felt this showed a lot of promise.

Anyone else still watching this? I give shows at least 5 episodes before I dump them, and I'm dumping this. With only one episode to write a week, the monologues should be so much better than this crud. Also, how they manage to make their one recorded piece a week so dreadfully unfunny is a real feat. I felt the same about Joel McHale's show. Was looking forward to Netflix having scheduled content, but so far I find it disappointing.

I don't get this type of comedy. Like Alexa lunch meat...I didn't even smile in the slightest.

I'm still watching it and I like it. They've mostly ditched the sketches though, IIRC the last two episodes I watched didn't have them.

I have to agree...the show is kinda bad. Gave it a shot because of her performance on the correspondence dinner ...but yeah it's just not that funny. Not even the studio audience seems into it lol.

The sketches are horrible.

The show needs to move into a Daily Show format and get rid of the sketches. She is at her best when she is doing a monologue or talking to the camera.

The yogurt shed and the Alexa lunch meat both had me incredibly confused. My spouse watches this and...yeesh it is extremely forced.

It's not great. But it's not terrible either.. A lot of it does fall flat though. It's a shame because I've liked some of the other stuff shes done.

Maybe her show should change format, and be by weekly or something. Either way, I still hope it manages to find it's footing.

The sketches are killing the show for me. I like Michelle Wolf a lot but I've been watching the show less and less. Didn't finish the latest ep

I could hardly believe how unfunny the stale-as-fuck "chewing a condom" gag was here. It's so unfunny they left a character break in at the very end despite it being a recorded sketch. So I guess they know the sketches suck?

Anyway, this kind of show is often rough in the beginning, so I'm sure I'll keep checking in for now, at least for the monologue. I want this kind of stuff on Netflix. I hope they figure it out.

I actually like the sketches, but I'm down with absurdist humor. An Alexa that requires and demands to be fed lunch meat is funny to me. Her stand-up is predictable but decent. DJ Jer-Z is the lamest part of the show. He smiles, doesn't really do anything, maybe entertains the studio audience off-camera, idk

I've kept watching cause I need there to be some kind of payoff with DJ Jer-Z. I mean he can't just be the lame musical counterpart that just laughs at all the host's jokes right?........... RIGHT!?

..... they don't even cut to him laughing anymore....

Awful show. Stuck with it for four episodes and couldn't take any more. Hoping Netflix pulls the plug.
