Interesting. I find the Oblivion shot to look nicer. Skyrim has higher res textures, but the colours and art style look better and more vibrant somehow (of course the Skyrim one is fully snowed in, so perhaps the comparison isn't entirely fair).

I think that the snow creates an unfair comparison. But I do agree that in general Oblivion is more vibrant whereas Skyrim is more dull with the grey winter wasteland tone it has going throughout a lot of areas.

To be fair. The Skyrim screenshot isn't part of the official game, it's from a mod that adds Cyrodill (Oblivion) as a playable area. It's currently limited to the northern part of the map. It looks amazing and adds a lot of lush green areas with dense fauna into the game, a thing that I missed in Skyrim.
