It's a toss between Bowie and Prince for me. But I'd still pick those two and Freddie over MJ.

I preferred Freddy as a performer and his music


Thought Prince and Bowie were superior in artistry and boundry pushing.


And MJ is at the bottom but still good at all the stuff.

also defo with Bowie > Prince = MJ > Freddie in terms of musical output for me. but I like Freddie's voice the most out of the 4.

Anyone else hates how constantly a beat is muted on then off then a rappers verse nowadays? I'm assuming that's done during the mixing and mastering process but it's done so damn much that it's kinda annoying as fuck

I think it can add a ton of weight to a lyric if done correctly. It's like saying "Hey, turn the music off, I want to make sure you hear this".
