Just for those a few pages back that were curious. I got the 20% E3 Promo re-applied to Shadow of the Colossus.

EDIT: I got an extra 10% discount for them giving me a hassle and me calling them on trying to lie and steal from me by changing their own policy.

I just went through my orders and found that there was no discount applied to my of SotC from E3. Thanks for pointing this out!

Also would like to add that Toronto dundas and yonge store had plenty of stock this week (seemed sold out at surrounding stores). Trade in was really fast and easy. ($201 for 500 X1S)

It will happen again when Kirby Switch gets the correct 79.99 price
there's a good chance that will be less than $80. Maybe $60?

there hasn't been a full priced Kirby console game in a long time iirc. Rainbow Curse was $40 US and I think Epic Yarn and Return to Dreamland were both $50 US.

edit: actually now that I think about it, $50 US was full price for Wii, wasn't it? Ah well

If I had to take a guess it's because Shoppers has limited shelf space for video game consoles, and the Switch is in low enough supply / high enough demand that they sell them even without advertising it

edit: this also fits the lazy narrative btw, lol

SDM often don't put out gaming products. Never leave a store without asking someone first. Better yet, call first so you don't waste your time.

Does BestBuy use Canada Post for deliveries? I used to get everything from Amazon but since I moved into an apartment they're kinda inconvenient if I'm not home.

They are the worst. They keep all their gaming stuff and games hidden behind the cashier and then you have to ask the clueless employee to check. They never find anything. People are waiting behind me while she checks and I'm shouting the name of the games I want. F that. Don't bother to sell things if we can't even browse.

Yeah, Best Buy uses awful Canada Post. (I say awful, because I tend to get phantom delivery attempts and things I order tend to get damaged because the person who handles this route prefers to wedge things into our community mailbox slot instead of using the oversized boxes down below. This means rolling up books and damaging them, putting things that barely fit in to the point where I have to inch them out, and caring not at all. I've called and emailed about it, but it didn't help.)

Canada Post used to be good for me but I guess they have someone new doing my area or something. If it won't fit in my tiny mailbox they don't knock on my door or ring the doorbell, they just leave a notice to pick up the package tomorrow. When it's a pretty big parcel and you don't drive.. yeah. That's irritating.

Yeah, that would be. Sorry to hear.

I once got a notice on my door, even though I was home and someone else was as well. They were sitting at the table, not far from the door, pretty much the whole afternoon and didn't hear a knock. Nor did I.

They don't even try to deliver anymore. I see deliveries being taken to others' houses, but not mine. If I order something, it's shoved into our small slot. When something didn't fit recently, he put it in a bigger box, but the box the shipment came in was about as big as the postal box. It fit, but when I went to take it out the box caught on the door's locking mechanism and was a pain to get out.

I've talked to them, and was told that all of my packages would be taken to the post office and I could pick them up. I'd prefer them actually being delivered, but I took what I could get. That only lasted a couple of times, though, and now it's back to the same old. I haven't been ordering much as of late, but want to order a Christmas present and am worried it'll be damaged by the Canada Post guy. It's one of the reasons why I haven't ordered yet.

Oo that sucks, but I'll take that over someone leaving my package in front of my door, in an apartment building.

Managed to grab a Switch at Shoppers. Basically called a bunch of places last night. Shoppers on Main and 17th had 4, so I lined up before it opened today with two other dudes. Grabbed the Grey one.

Looks like that branch tends to stock switches, so next time a 20x event comes I'd suggest calling the night before and getting there before the store opens.

If you have a post office close by, FlexDelivery can be a godsend: https://www.canadapost.ca/web/en/pages/fd/default.page?murl|pdn|nr|1702
Didn't UM/US drop to $39.99? That's the price my copies are sitting at, and the E3 discount has entirely disappeared. I was just going to cancel them because I don't care to argue about the 20% stacking, and my Bestbuy orders are currently cheaper.

Does anybody from Vancouver happen to want these Pokemon's at $40+tax, before I bother cancelling them?
If you haven't found a buyer I'll take them. If it's just on one order by itself I can give you my address to change it to or we can just meet up.

Picked up the 65" LG B7P OLED at Visions today. They gave me the BF price of $2998 - pretty fantastic deal. They also gave me a great deal on the SJ9 sound bar. Just in case anyone is looking for a deal on the OLED - skip the hassle of shopping on BF and buy now.

Finally got 95,000 points thanks to 20x today.

Gonna wait for another 20% off day and then redeem it on a Switch. Any ideas about how many 20% off days there are per year and when the next one might be? (Senior's days have limits on the amount of money you can save. Regular 20% off days don't.)

Thanks. How's that work?

The page isn't working right now.
Hm, it works for me. You set up an address with Canada Post and you can then start using that to ship things to. Since it's a Canada Post office, there's always someone there to accept your package and store it. There's no waiting a day to pick stuff up either as it's not a missed delivery. Anything that ships to a PO Box can ship to it.

Okay. Thanks.

The main page worked for me, but when I went to sign up it wouldn't load properly. So I figured I'd ask.

I assumed that was what it was. It's actually what I was looking for, and had asked friends about, as I don't normally order things anymore and have only purchased from this particular seller once in the last decade. A friend recommended renting a PO box, but I didn't want to go through the hassle, when it's just one shipment and it'd mean giving them extra money when they've been so careless in the past.

What? Then you misworded your post.

The way you wrote it sounds like you are looking to buy 100 Xbox 360 games.
Yeah that's correct lol. I currently have shelving space for 250 and only have 150. So I wrote up my top 100 remaining I want.

I want to get 360 out of the way while it's still cheap and somewhat easy to find certain games. Like Portal 2 I haven't seen come up in a loooonnng time.

Deal:
Amazon has the game, "Cars 3: Driven to Win" <Switch> and <WiiU> for $29.98.

Someone noted as well that Best Buy also has the Switch version for the same price. Might be a decent game for families with smaller children.

Apparently my Xenoblade 2 is shipping with Express shipping because I ordered it when I had a Prime free trial. Can't wait for them to still send it several days late!

So Canadian customs charges fees for games under 100$ now ? What's the difference between import fees and customs :/ ? I thought they were the same thing

Technically you're supposed to pay duties on anything valued over $20 USD. It's just whether or not your package gets caught or not.

Duties and brokerage is such a PITA. Especially if you use UPS or DHL. You'll get an extra $20 "just cuz" fee from them for pushing a button and calling it processing.
